This place was wonderful. Such a nice building and so clean and the staff was amazing.

Why charge so much for a dog ? Are you in the business of selling dogs ? Or rescue . Over 200 for a dog . I will not support this kind of foolishness.

Adopted Magic, a 5 year old short haired cat a few weeks ago. He's currently purring and falling in and out of a peaceful sleep on my lap. He has the sweetest little meow and is a very curious boy. I believe the person I talked to on the phones name was Karen but not a 'Karen' at all. So kind and sweet, helped answer all of my questions even after adoption. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to rescue a new fur baby. My cats are still warming up to each other but they are already becoming pals (pictured chilling out together with me in the kitchen)!

I love FAMD. They feel like the model for shelter best-practices. I adopted my purrsonal assistant from FAMD earlier this year after my wonderful cat unexpectedly passed after 12 years together, and FAMD's adoption counseling is truly admirable. It didn't feel like I was being judged, was an open conversation, and set me up to have a successful adoption. I felt like FAMD has integrity, transparency, and wants the best for their animals without being stuck up or judging someone as unworthy like you might see at a rescue. I would absolutely adopt from here again.

Price said $75 online they charged me double when I got there and some fees? Woman on the phone was rude and didn’t want me to get the dog. I’m black ...I don’t think she liked that. But I got my fog I love her she great. And all the negative things she said about the dog ... I’m taking great care of her now!

Clean animal shelter by appointment only due to COVID19 where you can look for and adopt a furbaby. They have a large room to check out any ones you are interested in and get to know, ask questions and decide if that is the one for you and your family.

I went to the shelter today...everyone was so helpful and kind with a very nice smile on their faces!! Very clean and organized place!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience ! Thursday we are taking our kitty home with us ! ????

I adopted a cat from the shelter yesterday. The whole place was SUPER clean and the employees were all so friendly and willing to answer any questions. Paperwork was quick and effortless. I love the new addition to my family and absolutely recommend adopting from them!!

I don't know what im doing wrong but I haven't been able to make an appointment, phone never gets picked up (called many times), sent in application more than once, no response. please help me :(

I adopted a chihuahua mix named ladybug the process was easy for me maybe because it was a Saturday morning the staff were nice as knowledgeable she came with all her medical shots and a 250$ gift certificate for any animal hospital they recommended included .

great facility and amazing staff. We filled out an application for our fur-baby and got a call the next morning. I highly recommend this shelter to anyone who is wanting to adopt.

The people at FAMD are wonderful! We met our new furry family member Koda during a Doggy Day Out and the adoption process was very easy and stress-free. The staff are all very helpful and provide a lot of great resources to adopters. You can tell they really care about the animals here and genuinely want what's best for them. The facilities are very clean and they took their Covid-precautions very seriously which was awesome to see. I'd recommend checking them out for anyone interested in getting a pet!

You can tell they truly care about each and every animal there. We were unable to meet the cat we originally went there to meet but they were really sweet and let us meet a few others instead. The girl who helped us was very informative on each cat she brought to us, letting us know each ones background/likes/dislikes/etc. We filled out the application online so the adoption process was fast and easy and they even gave us stuff from his cage to take with him to make sure he had as smooth of a transition as possible.

The doggy day out program is so much fun. Great for the dog and for me :) This is Loki, he's a 7 month old perfect pup! Available for adoption now.

I am editing my previous post to apologize in which I was upset and expressing emotions which clearly was not appropriate. Though upset, I should have done the adult thing like my signifant other and speak to the director about said feelings/concerns regarding the treatment we received. Kim, I hope you accept my sincere apology and see how sorry I am for stating the things I previously said. I fell in love with Rodney, and so did my children. We were very heartbroken that after being told he was coming home with us, he wasn't merely out of concern he may cause property distruction. As a dog lover, I am well aware of that risk and ready to take that on. I would never return an animal! Thank you for looking into this matter, it shows your dedication to the welfare of your animals. I will empahsize that your staff were very polite, even when explaining their concerns, and your establishment was very clean and well maintained.

Adopted out a dog whose owner came forward and revealed that the dog was her service dog who had gotten lost. Didn’t attempt to contact the adoptive family to let them know the situation until police were involved. How heartless can you all be? You clearly do not care about the best for the animals in your shelter. The least you could have done was offer to help the original owner find a new match at your shelter. That would hear Ed you guys some compassion points.

I'm a big supporter of this shelter. I have volunteered in the past and have adopted three wonderful dogs. My most recent adoption was of Key Kway, a lovely 8 year old.

Excellent facility for pets in transition to their forever home. Pets are given attention and are well cared for.
