I called them on a Sunday morning as our elderly lab was suffering and they were very professional and welcoming on the phone. They followed strict Covid protocol which we appreciated. They came out with a gurney and took our best pal …

My wife & I brought our very sick 12yo kitty in at 7pm. waited in our car for our turn (due to COVID). Testing indicated 75% kidney failure & pancreatitis. We were devastated. Regardless of the late hour, staff was understanding, friendly & …

My cat Copper needed emergency surgery & ended up needing to be readmitted twice due to complications. The staff was incredibly helpful even during his stints at home with me and even assisted me in getting my trunk shut when the hatch arm broke on the premises. They served as counselors just as much as anything else and helped to assure my boy made it despite all odds. BooKitten is doing great now & we both give our most sincere thanks ♡

Called for an emergency for my animal to be seen and I was told there's no dr available that's not a 24 hr emergency room for pets I find it highly unprofessional not call yourself a 24 hr er when you're not

Amazing service and extremely kind staff. Just make sure you know what you are getting in to with an emergency vet - it is not exactly the cheapest service on the planet. That being said, I’ve seen 3 emergency vets in the last 10 years and this was by far the most affordable. The costs were itemized and the tests were only slightly more expensive than at my normal vet. The fee structure was very reasonable for overnight care and fluids for my cat. One tip: just like almost every other vet out there you will need to make payment up front for most general service. They do accept care credit which you can generally use for no interest if paid within 12 months. Thank you so much to the staff for your kind and compassionate treatment during our emergency. I really wish the negative ratings would reconsider and compare them to other emergency vets. It’s not their fault you aren’t equipped to pay for a vet emergency and slandering their good name is not going to make the situation any better.

My 12 1/2 year old chihuahua was suffering from what appeared to be a neurological emergency. We went to and called several local vet clinics and animal emergency hospitals- none of them were seeing patients! (Apparently because of the pandemic). We received the number for advanced animal emergency and they were able to see us immediately. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your compassion and excellent care of Penelope! Thank you, Dr. Pasternak! I appreciate you more than I can say! ❤️

These people should have the rights to treat animals taken away. This place told me it would be 120 then once my cat was in their possession they started throwing crazy prices at me, ended up paying $1500 for water under the skin and bunch of tests that they couldn’t even read properly or explain it to me. I have lost all faith in these emergency vets, the only reason I went here was because nobody else would take my cat in. I would recommend to keep your precious animals alway from these people. They sincerely do not care about our animals, all these people want is your money. STAY AWAY!!!!

Our 14 year old dog's health took a turn for the worst and we new he wouldn't make it through the night. We took him here last night to pass over the rainbow bridge. Everyone from the phone, front desk, assistants and Dr. Pollack were incredibly kind and sincere throughput the whole appointment. We had a very nice room specifically for this type of appointment. We could take as long as we wanted before and after his passing. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone there for making a difficult evening comforting. It was very much appreciated!

3 hours and still waiting for my dog to get stitched up after a dog bit him. No updates, when I called them they said they had 2 more urgent cases come in. I'm sitting in the parking lot. I didn't see any more urgent then my baby boy. Don't recommend unless you have half a day to spend in wonder

My dog was brought in for an emergency for seizure like activity. I tried explaining that it was not a seizure due to several factors and believed it could be a parasite. The doctor quickly interjected “parasites don’t cause seizures” yeah they do and it’s your job to rule out different causes. Well 3 hours later sitting in the parking lot his labs show signs for parasites. After waiting 30 for staff to bring him out after paying I called they stated that a critical patient just arrived.. no cars or walk ups had showed up and just a few seconds after calling he’s brought out. No lab reports given to me for myself or the Vet to review.

Had to bring my dog late on a Saturday night. Yes we had to wait a little, but we were able to get our dog treated after hours for a very reasonable price. Dr. Brown and staff did a great job. I hope that I don’t have to use their services again but I definitely would if necessary!

Very low level of compassion in my opinion. Son was told after Emergency visit to Advanced to find a vet for his cat and make a follow up appt, that visit cost my son 500. cat was doing better and time got away from him. Cat showed symptoms again, I called around quickest he could get her into a vet was a week. I called Advanced bc they knew her situation. Lady on the phone after much talking finally looked up cats chart No Compassion and QUICKLY threw the blame back onto my son that "HE WAS TOLD to make follow up with a vet". That is true!!!! But come on now, haven't we all let things slip, even an important thing? There was like I said No Compassion but a Whole lotta shame vibe going on. After her talking over me I finally said Thank you for your time We're done here and hung up. Would not ever take my pet there

If I could give a 0 I would. I asked simple questions about my girl being able to nurse her puppies upon return home and was shocked with rudeness. I was given excuses about the staff and their hours which I never inquired about. I was told she(my dog) wasn't producing milk anyways. She gave birth 3 days ago, Friday morning. Today us Sunday, so in 2 days she isn't producing? Then I was given statistics about vet techs and graduating vetrainians for some odd reason, numbers of them quiting because they work so hard. I wish I remembered the guys name. I intend to puck up my dog in a few hours. I'll get it then and repost

My first experience there was fast. They saw my German shephard pretty quick, which is impressive since I was in panic mode. My baby had an open wound in her, I had no idea what it was. Come to find out it was an absence that ruptured. She needed help and they gave it to her. They were very informative. I got multiple calls giving me updates throughout her time there. They did an amazing job.

Last Sunday we had the unfortunate circumstance of having to put our dog down. Everyone we came into contact with at Advanced Animal Emergency was extremely professional , courteous, and compassionate. They made a horrible circumstance as please as possible. They gave us our own room to spend time with our dog before and after our dog passed and allowed us to take as much time as we needed. All of the workers expressed their condolences and treated our dog as if she was a real person. They even sent us a hand written card signed by all of the staff after the fact expressing their condolences. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

My dog was attacked by another dog on Aug 25th, his wounds were severe, I went to 3 different vets offices and all refused to see him. One did give me a number to call for an emergency vet but that was out in Southfield to far for me. I did come to find this one and rushed straight there. Within 30 mins they came and got my dog assessed him. Gave me a quote that was very reasonable $730 I was expecting to pay a couple grand. After payment I was able to leave, and returned to get my dog the next day. Poor office was so busy with other emergencies that possibly was worst then my baby, but my baby was in the care of their very capable hands making sure he was comfortable. They called me to keep me updated throughout the night. Also didn't charge me for the overnight stay. Had to go for a follow up to remove a drainage tube and, stitches and again they were wonderful got us right in and out within an hour. If I were to have another emergency I would come back!! My baby Khan is back to himself and his fursister loves she can play with him again!!!

A 6-8 hour wait is not "emergency" care. This place needs more staff in order to function correctly as an emergency vet. The first front desk woman I talked to on the phone was very friendly, but the other woman I talked to on the phone while I was in the parking lot was rude and condescending. Apparently the doctor was still in surgery, so I couldn't go inside even to give them my dog's stool sample for testing, and no one was willing to come out and take it from me either. Thankfully the Rochester emergency vet gave me thorough advice on what to do for my poor puppy until I could get a hold of our local vet in the morning.

Very unfriendly, we took our pet, which had a swollen eye. His eye was very red. WHen we got there, it was only 3 people ahead of us. After these three people had left, they started taking other customers. I called to inquire about my pet and was told that he would be next. We waited and waited and waited. They kept taking other dogs ahead of us. I truly think that they were being biased because we look different. My pet has to suffer now because I could not wait any longer. I am disabled and I even told the receptionist that I was getting low on oxygen and she still kept us waiting. Please don't think it's because of COVID. Who in their right mind would bring a sick pet to an emergency hospital if it wasn't serious. The cost alone would make you think of the severity. BAD Hospital, BAD, Bad Hospital.

I had to take my childhood dog here to be put down on a Sunday awhile ago and they got us in super quick. Everyone was very helpful and sympathetic. They let us stay with her as long as we wanted and we were able to pick us her ashes later that week. Thank you guys for making our hard day as easy as possible.

Called to make sure they could see my dog and I before we came, explained that my dog had jumped out of my truck window while moving and was bleeding and crying in pain and visibly struggling to walk.we showed up at 930 and the receptionist came out and took my ID and visibly looked at my dog cowering I the back seat crying in pain and said that they would be back out shortly. 11am I had to call the number in the internet and ask what was happening and why noone came out yet,I was told the doctor had just went into emergency surgery (I've been waiting 2 hours now)I said ok and that I was still in the parking lot with a broken crying dogg.she said they would be out shortly.1pm I call agin because now I have waited almost 5 long hours in their parking lot ,the receptionist very rudly answered the phone refused to say her name so I could complain to her superior said that the doctor had been trying to make it to the emergency surgery still and that they could no longer help us because they had no other physician ,hang up the phone and came and threw my license back at me hitting the windshield and dash before landing on the floor. After waiting almost 6 hours in their parking lot with a hurt dog just to be sent away with the dog not even looked at and still in pain.NEVER WILL I EVER USE THIS VET .

the doctors and one receptionist gave me and my family excellent service. On the other hand a receptionist with long hair and a crazy amount of makeup was rude after we found out we lost our dog! She came out of the back room smacking her lips and glaring at my family in a horrible manner and never said a word to us though we were clearly grieving and the other receptionist was absolutely sweet sharing empathy and being warm. The other receptionist with the excessive makeup called us to come in and without expressing condolences to us she demanded us to pay for a surgery we already paid for. She walked away with bad attitude and never said “I’m sorry for your loss or anything “ it was heartbreaking to know someone like this was around my dog as she passed! Do not receive service from that receptionist with red lipstick. That’s why it’s 3 stars.

I called around 11:30am today and whenever I spoke to said “we don’t have an available doctor today, he is in surgery” and refused to see my cat, who is bleeding from his back paw profusely. They then proceeded to give me a number for another clinic in Rochester, almost an hour away. The woman I spoke to was rude and made me feel bad for even calling. I have had a good experience here before but whoever was working the morning of August 30th 2021 needs to be properly trained on customer service. I have never heard of an emergency vet refusing service.

You know, this is probably the first time I am writing a negative post about American services! I'll start with the background To say that I am shocked is to say nothing !!! We brought the found kitten, which was emaciated and dehydrated, to the Veterinary Emergency Clinic at Madison Heidhts (other negligent clinic). They took the kitten and kept him there for 5 hours and did nothing. We waited there all this time, and when asked when our kitten will be served, we were told that you are not in a critical situation and he is in line. We realized that we could wait here all night, and in the morning to work. We took the kitten and in the morning took it to another clinic Advanced Animal Emergency, where the kitten was allegedly tested and prescribed treatment. We were told that the kitten is weak, but he must recover. We paid $ 530 and took the kitten away. They did everything they told us, but in the morning he died! Here's how you could give us a kitten, knowing that he is in a serious condition? For what did they charge $ 530? !!! Why, if they saw that he was already hopeless, they treated him and took the money? But if there was hope, why didn't they leave him with them? What is it, negligence or just making money ??? I'm just shocked by this attitude of veterinarians !!! And I'm scared for my animals, if God forbid, something happens, where to run? Who should I contact?

My new pup was wounded and needed to be seen and given antibiotics. For the volume of patients they had, the wait was short. I was told 2-3 hours before he would be seen, (expected 4-5 hours) but only waited a little over an hour. The communication with me from the staff and vet was more than i expected. I rated this a 4 because they still do curbside. I understand that is in their own right; however, i would rather have stayed with my pet in a secure building than to sit in a parking lot in the middle of the night.
