Not a budget-friendly groomer, nor for those who begin work before 8 am and have commitments on the weekends. After a positive experience this past Fall, I took my dog in for a regular grooming appointment. I handed my dog off to the receptionist, sharing that I wanted my dog's hair trimmed but not shaved. I was then told it would take 4 hours to groom him. After 3 hours, I was called by the shop. I was told that my dog would have to be shaved because he was too matted. At that point, I had already waited 3 hours so I agreed to the shave. My mistake- I should have come and picked up my dog right then. The phone call ended with me being told he would be done more quickly and it shouldn't be too much longer. Two hours later, now a total of 6 hours that my dog was at the shop, I was called to finally come pick up my pet. I tried to voice my frustrations with the experience, of which I did not yell, I only shared my feelings about it taking so long which delayed me attending to things I needed to do that day. Instead of accepting responsibility or offering a solution, the receptionist put the blame on me. She said if I had brought my dog in more often, the groomers and bathers would not have had to have done so much work nor shaved him in the dead of winter. Very rude and unprofessional comments. At checkout, I was then told a price $20 higher than my two previous visits. When I asked why I was being charged that much, the receptionist replied that the shop had upped its pricing. Apparently, it is the shops expectation that you look at their pricing before you take your pet in every single time. It would have been nice to have been told either with the appointment reminder or at drop off to expect a $20 increase, instead of at the end of the appointment after services were complete. In a service industry such as yours, I would suggest you consider better customer satisfaction and develop more professional communication. Even worse is that my dog began uncontrollably licking his legs hours after I brought him home. Turns out that he has razor burn from the shave the shop gave him. We will not be returning, nor recommending this shop to our dog friends.

I struggled for months trying to find a cat groomer in Metro-Detroit for my long hair domestic cat. Every groomer I called either did not groom cats or were booked up for months. THANKFULLY I found the kind and professional staff at Clawson Paws. They were able to get my grooming appointment scheduled in a timely manner and we’re incredibly helpful during the scheduling process. My cat now has a beautiful haircut!

It was my 3ellas first time and the owner and staff were so awesome. So friendly and attentive, We felt like family.

Took our new puppy to get his first Bath, Brush, Ear cleaning and Nail trim and we can't wait to take him back for his next appointment. He was fresh and happy after his visit :-)

We took our dogs to Clawson Paws last week and they came down with Kennel cough. I called to let them know so they could take some extra cleaning precautions. However the owner interrupted and talked over me non stop. Per Akc.org, kennel cough is easily spread from dog to dog through aresol droplets, direct contact or contact with contaminated surfaces like dishes blankets and crates. Our pets have had no contact with any other dogs and we have a privacy fence. I just called to give them a heads up, I’m not sure why they were so nasty to me. I wasn’t even upset about it. Again I was just trying to give them a heads up so they could take extra precautions. We have been taking our pets there for almost 2 years. But after how the owner talked to me, our dogs will never be back. Take care

I was really struggling with trimming my cars claws. I called this place and was able to bring her up there same day. They literally took just a few minutes and like $15 to do something that I had been dreading, and my Molly's claws are nice and tidy. I'll be coming back for sure!

Took my dogs in for a bath. I'm elderly and am having much difficulty with the task since they are large. The owner even requested to have a visual look at my dog for accurate pricing. I brought him in and was given a price. The next day I brought them in, provided all documents they required to be filled out, even provided a muzzle for 1 dog since was newly adopted and I wasn't sure how he bathes. I was told they had everything they needed and that they would call in about an hour when they were done. I was called within 10 minutes, said the one dog was barking too much and I had to come get him. They reassured me that he was clean and had received all services. However, after 2 or 3 days he developed a slight odor, which progressively got worse as the days progressed. I ended up giving him a bath in my bathrub to eliminate to offensive order. The other dog I was told bit one of the workers when she attempted to clip his nails..I belive the dogs received substandard service. The other dog was brushed out very well, I can give them that. All services should have totaled 130 dollard, however was charged 10 dollars exta even though all services were never rendered. When asked why the extra the girl said, that's how much it cost. Will never go back

Happy with the services here. My dog also seems happy with the service here. She's pretty picky with the people she likes, and she took right to the ladies here!

This was our first time using Clawson Paws, and we are so happy to have found them. Our Pekingese puppy Bella looks, smells, and feels wonderful. I called last minute and they were so accommodating. Would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you for the great service!

Wow. Just fantastic. I had to take my cat to them because she had severe matting all around her body. I was super worried because my cat has anxiety and doesn’t love other people. When I got there, everybody in the building was so friendly. The owner is one of the nicest people I have met. And they did a fantastic job on my cat. The appointment maybe took 45 minutes at max because my cat loved the owner so much. When I got my cat back, all the matting was gone. She looks fantastic. They were also super considerate. I had to reschedule because I had to get my cat her vaccinations and they were super understanding and I booked my appointment within a minute. They also gave me a call the day before my appointment which was extremely helpful. I don’t usually leave reviews on places but this place was so good I had to. Just an all around wonderful place that does a great job grooming with friendly staff and reliable service. Love this place!

They are "okay". They told me basically they can't cut my dog's nails anymore because he was "screaming". Even though I've brought him here before and there was zero issue before. They only told me how good he was. Groomers are supposed to be able to handle dogs that are upset... he's not aggressive or anything, he just whines when he doesn't like something, hes just a small puppy. If I had to guess I think they were rushing because I was told earlier in the day they were short staffed. I would of rather come on a day that they could have spent more time and care easing his anxiety with the nail trimming, especially during a pandemic where we are not allowed into the groomers. I really really miss my old groomers that closed and thought id give this new place a try but im thinking its not going to work out anymore. Per your request, I will take my business elsewhere.

Always an amazing experience with Clawson Paws!! I live in White Lake and called about 6 local groomers to ask if they groom cats. One out of 6 groomers said yes! (Not including Clawson) They quoted me three times the amount I paid to Clawson Paws! They did what I asked for, and I’m pleased! I’ll take the drive and I will be back!

Michelle took wonderful care of our persian "Crisco". It was his first time getting groomed, and he desperately needed it. She was gentle and concerned with his care. He came home clean and adorable (as always). We look forward to seeing them again in about 2 months. Thank you again!!

They took good care of my dog and gave him such a cute haircut. He was so happy when we picked him up, he had such a good time. They were reasonably priced as well. Very good.
