Animal Hospital of Chesterfield Chesterfield, Michigan

Called over 15 animal hospitals/emergency clinics and all were full and unable to see my cat. However, even though the Animal Hospital of Chesterfield had stated they too were full, they heard the fear in my voice and said they would see us. I am forever grateful to their caring staff for all they did to help my cat in his time of need.

Very nice to my dog and myself

my dog Lilo has had to have two surgeries and the staff have been wonderful to her. the surgeries have been done to perfection and the staff has done everything to make her recovery as smooth as possible. she had only been twice before and the staff recognized her and greeted her with excited voices when she had to be seen for her second acl injury. this place is so wonderful, every interaction from visits to picking up meds has been great.

These guys are great! Always very friendly and happy to see my dog, Whiskey the Irish Terrier ????. We've been seeing the Vets at the Animal Hospital and have been using the tree lodge pet resort for about 5yrs now. The dog groomer Heather is also awesome to work with and does a great job

After several years as a client we had an emergency with older dog. Called to get an appointment to which they agreed. Then, came in and they wanted to charge a $100 "fit in" fee!? Dog was in critical condition and this is the treatment they gave! Front desk woman was extremely rude. They denied that we even called..to which we gave the person's name (how would we know that if we didn't call?). THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE - We had an emergency with a critical status animal and this is the way we were treated!! GO TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL WHERE THEY HAVE SOME COMPASSION! We had to put our dog down later in the evening after going all the way to Wilson Hospital in Washington Twp. Thanks for the compassion and treatment we received from them! AHoC, take Lulu off your patient list as she is no longer with us. By appearances of other reviews, the front desk person should be released!

Dr. Balfe is the kindest and most compassionate vet I have ever come across. The care she provided my 20 year cat Abby, and the compassion she showed me as I had to make the hardest decision is unparalleled. Veterinarian work is incredibly taxing, but Dr. Balfe does it with such grace and kindness. I cannot recommend AHOC enough.

I had a wonderful experience with my 1st pet but but a terrible one with my 2nd .... I called inquiring about services. The receptionist was rude and condescending about the cost of my treatment. Will never be taking another pet back here again.

Only 2 visits but so far seems to be Very Warm and Welcoming. Dr. Mark Hackel is Outstanding, and its Nice to meet a Vet that's not Scared of a dog because of his breed .

Compassionate and professional care. Been there about a dozen times with dog, cat and guinea pig and always happy with everything.

I've been taking my Paisley baby here for almost 2 years now and I'm very pleased with how they treat my dog. They always seem so caring and want to do whatever is best for her. I've recently been getting Dr. Balfe the past few times and I absolutely love her. Shes very nice, informative and answers all my questions that I have. It's also nice that her dog and my dog are similar so we can relate to that!

We come here because of Dr. Balfe. She is the absolute best veterinarian we have come across in our 20+ years of owning animals. Had some issues lately, but she’s gone above & beyond per usual.

Staff is wonderful and very caring. They always put my dog at ease when he is nervous about his visit!

I am very disappointed with my latest visit here. They charged me $63 for a fecal test. That’s a $12 test at any other vet I’ve ever been at before. So for 2 dogs I paid $126 for 2 fecal tests. Their explanation was that they have had a price increase. It’s disgusting that they are taking advantage of people this way.

Used to take my dog prior to covid and getting a second dog, no need for daycare anymore. Called to speak about my account 2 weeks ago, still waiting on a call back from the manager. Update 9/14/21.... no one called... but I did receive a text message confirming things were finally updated. It's sad I had to leave a 2 star review to get this taken care of. I added 1 star because I'm sure the lack of communication and reply is due to low staffing or another valid reason. Thank you.

Walked in with my dog who had ripped his nail out and was bleeding. I was refused service because I had never been there (no appointment) and they are not an emergency service. A vet wouldn't even come to the lobby and give me an opinion. I guess the word hospital in the title isn't true. The young lady at the counter was snippy and rude during the entire encounter. I will not be returning for any future business.

I want to thank them for the great job they did with Coco. They were there in an emergency when she needed them with overall fair pricing and kind service

Dr Murphy and staff are wonderful! A few years ago we switched to the Animal Hospital of Chesterfield from a different vet and are so glad we did. When it came time to lay our family dog to rest, they provided love and compassion during such a difficult time. The staff was soft spoken and shared in our grief. The procedure was very peaceful and we were able to be with our furry friend the entire time. I highly recommend the Animal Hospital of Chesterfield and will definitely bring any future pets here!

It's super difficult to get an urgent appointment and while my cat was hurt they told me to try calling the next day and hope I get one of the only 3 same day urgent appointments they would have. There was no way I was waiting for the next day to try to have my injured cat seen. Went somewhere else same day.

Last time I had an unfriendly vet tech trying to sell me on everything, but this time I had both a very kind and friendly tech AND vet. Definitely a much better experience!

I wonder if Doctors know how many patients and money they lose because of lack of communication skills of receptionist, assistance and groomers . Pacifying with "I'm sorry" is not the same as problem solving.
