Expensive..but they are kind and dr. Alsager is very sweet. Only few vets atound that treat smaller exotics..

I've ALWAYS go to see the vets at Alsager. So compassionate, helpful and kind. I can trust their diagnosis and know they'll treat my pups like their own.

Excellent group of vets and techs that really, really care. Our dog is a bit scared at times and they are so great that she never minds coming for her check-ups. Watch for the Black Friday deals on gift cards to save you money on expected costs. Awesome place with awesome people!

Dr. Fear is one of the best vets I’ve ever been to. They’re so good, in fact, that it’s been next to impossible to get an appointment during the pandemic. Fortunately, they have added a new vet, so it’s easier to get in now. I love it that they’re being very Covid friendly, too.

Awesome is the only word to describe the care your fur babies receive and the people who work there.

I have gone to this vet for the past 10 years and they have been beyond amazing but recently they just don't seem like they care about the animals. It's seems they care more about how many new clients they can fit into a day then the ones they already have.

I have to say I had an extraordinary experience with Alsager vet today, not the vet we normally take our dogs too. Around 11am I noticed my 14 week old puppy’s face/mouth twitching weirdly. I was keeping a close eye on her and with in 20 minutes she was foaming at the mouth. I got her in my car and drove her straight to the emergency vet (our regular vet is not open on Wednesdays). By the time we got there, her long ears were soaked in foam and the front seat had puddles. Per protocol, I called when I got there, explained the emergency. They came out to my car said her gums were pink and she was stable, and to take her somewhere else. They were in a “freeze” and only taking critical cases. This was not critical enough for them. I drove straight to Alsager because I’ve heard wonderful things about them. Again per protocol, I called. In tears, I explained my situation. They said they were coming right out. They took one look at her and told me to bring her right in. On my way in I heard the vet tech telling the other cars waiting, “I’m sorry, we’ll bring you in next, we have an emergency.” They did an initial assessment and determined she is having an allergic reaction. She was treated and observed for a bit. After about an hour we were sent on our way with instructions to call them to update them on how she’s doing. I am so grateful for them and cannot say enough good things about this team. They were all so friendly, not just to me, but I could hear them with their other people. They took us in immediately even though we are not a normal patient there. Our puppy took a long nap and seems to be back to normal. I’m just not used to such exceptional service, I had to share my experience ❤️ I have to add, I’m also very grateful for their other customers’ patience taking us in ahead of them.

Kind staff, knowledgeable vets of whom are also very kind. There is no question of whether or not they have your pet’s best interest in mind when making any decisions about their care for the advice they give you. Highly recommend.

I moved to the Canton area about a year ago. I had my best friend Lucas, a senior Jack Russell, who needed to be seen. After calling around, Alsager was able to get me in right away. They were very kind and professional. Later on, it was time for my little guy to go over the rainbow. The Alsager staff was very welcoming, kind, and gentle with my best friend. They were caring, and took great care of Lucas throughout the process. They did not treat my Lucas as just another dog, but it felt as if they were taking care of their own family pet. I highly recommend Alsager and all of their caring and wonderful staff members. Even after the loss of my best friend, the team wrote and sent me a nice card. This speaks volume of the kind of team that is the Alsager Animal Care Center. When I am ready to welcome a new family member into my life, I have no doubt that Alsager will be my vet. Thank you to everyone there. Really appreciated all of the care and support that you provided.

Brought my bunny here for a spay. Their prices were amazing and every single person I interacted with was so friendly and professional. They did a great job and I will definitely be recommending!

I've been going here for more than 30 years. I think they hit a really rough patch during Covid. I heard some troubling stories. I had my dog in yesterday and it was great. Still sitting in the car, but I don't enjoy all the panting in the small room anyway.

Dr. Fear is absolutely amazing! We have been to other vets, but the time and genuine care Dr. Fear provides is unlike any other. He spoke to me for over 30 minutes about my dog, answered all of my questions, and gave me his time. His bedside manner is fantastic and truly appreciative. Dr. Fear is honest, and works together with you to help your loved pet! Thank you so much Dr. Fear for your genuine kindness and education. Our pup is so lucky to have you as his vet!

The entire staff is amazing. From the front desk, vet techs and the vets. They are very compassionate and caring. Only place I take my pets.

The experience was fantastic. Minor improvements: please tell us ahead that we bring records. It was hard enough for her to make the call to put her pet down, asking for records while in the middle of waiting for the tranq to kick in was awful timing. Also, we agree, the doctor is a pro in terms of care, comfort, and understanding. But when her husband told us "she'll be doing the procedure, she is a pro at this." Poor choice of words, maybe "professional" or "considerate of both you and your pet for this process" Staff was amazing and polite. Let me walk her to the car before coming back to pay so she didn't have to keep standing. It was a rough day and the team here handled everything with grace and patience. We will return for all our veterinary care.

I laid to rest my two kids jan 27th 2021 , was told I would get their ashes back in two weeks after calling and asking where their ashes are at I was told I wouldn’t be getting them back because I asked for a community cremation . I said no I wanted these two cremated together. I well sorry for the miss understanding you can see them at whispering pines. Well I called them and they still don’t have their ashes as of 3-14-2021 and was told to call faithful companion in royal oak. So at this point I lost my two best friends , support system and companions due to their inability to communicate and now fighting to track down where my kids ashes are at almost two most after they passed. My attorneys are now getting involved

Great care, love Dr. Fear. We also took our previous pet when she passed away unexpectedly for cremation and they were so kind. This is why we chose them for our new pet.

I brought our two kittens there who are dearly beloved. They both got spayed on January 18. Today is eight days later, and both kittens are very sick and have huge swelling‘s in their abdomen. Both of their incisions were coming open and they were bleeding all over the house. I called and was given an emergency appointment, they stapled the kittens back together WITHOUT ANESTHESIA. They then proceeded to charge me $72 when clearly whoever performed the spays sewed them up without trying to cauterize bleeders. (They BOTH had hematoma/seromas which is a collection of blood) from the sloppy surgery. DO NOT trust these people with your fur babies!!! When i told the girl that ran my debit card that i wasn’t happy she just shrugged and said “ok”. Well great! I’m new in the area and has no idea they were hack jobs. Definitely will be going elsewhere in the future!

We brought two of our cats here to be spayed. Both ended up having their stitches opened and had internal bleeding. Why would both cats have internal bleeding from the same surgery? They obviously did something very wrong. Our cats were seriously hurt and are still not well. After they both started bleeding profusely and crying in pain we brought them in. They then charged us another $75 on top of the $500 to fix their own mistake. They stapled our cats sounds closed with no anesthestic, leaving my cat in serious pain and discomfort 8 days out. Extremely unprofessional and I recommend you steer clear of these people. They seriously injured our animals and rushed to take our money. They are absolute crooks who have no idea what they’re doing!

I want to give them 5 stars because I do think they have great vets here but as of lately it's been extremely hard to get in contact with Dr.Fear. He has performed surgery on 2 of my rats and has done an awesome job on them. Unfortunately my one rat has popped open her stitches 3 times and every time I call to get her in for him to see her he's either not available or busy and then they forget to call me back so I end up having to go to another vet which is what I want to avoid doing. I can't really rely on this vet anymore to help my rat when she is need of help. I usually get told to call an emergency vet but not everyone can afford $1000 surgeries every time she pops her stitches and they have no history on who she even is. So frustrating.
