Had my rescue Rufus who is an English bulldog have his nostrils enlarged, soft pallet shorten and neuter done here. They were the ONLY place who was able to do all 3 procedures at the same time within a week once I called. The other 2 vets who do this surgery were booked months in advace. This place is a couple hundred dollars more than Wilson who gave me a quote. But I rather pay more and get my boy done rather than waiting months on end. His surgery was successful! Breathing 100 times better now! Has so much energy now that he can actually breath. Thank advaced vet care group! His recovery was amazing too due to use of co2 lazer. Pictured is Rufus the day I picked him up from surgery. Even put a cute heart on his bandage.

Our Lab-Shar Pei needed Entropion surgery on both his eyes, top and bottom lids. From making the appointment, through picking our Diesel up was a smooth process. Everyone my husband and I talked to was very polite and informative. It's been 5 days since surgery and he his healing great! It's wonderful to watch him run around the yard again. Thank you to the Vet and entire staff for helping our pup see again and kudos to surgeon for be blessed with a steady hand! (Sorry can't remember name) Beautiful job! And price was best in town! We'd recommend this surgery center to everyone!

Place Is an assembly line surgery center. They have a "package price" that includes items not used. Over $1700 for surgery and cat still had the same problem. Had to pay another huge amount for another vet because of it. When I asked why they charged for things they didn't use, they got defensive. It is illegal to charge for services or products not used. If I had known any of this, I wouldnt have brought her here. They seemed unorganized. They said it would tr ake about an hour and the Doc would call. Left her at 8:30 the doc called at 1:30. Said another hour or two. I called about three and they said they would bringing her out. They finally brought her at 5. the girl said most people go home, I said they told me it would only take about an hour or two. Then she say, oh sorry. We need a way to find out about these places, to prevent this. Too bad animals and their health is now secondary. Unfortunately the high cost of these vets will prevent a lot of animals from being adopted. After this ordeal, I now find out that they did not even do surgery. They also failed to diagnose properly. It is easy to say just about anything in ads, but actually practicing it is a different story, obviously.

My big 85 lb boy needed reconstructive eye surgery on both eyes. The staff and vet were friendly, professional, got me in within a week, and were reasonable compared to other estimates. Hoping his surgery lasts his lifetime as it can recur. Highly recommend!!

We took our dog in for a luxating patella repair. They decided they did not want to perform the surgery based on blood work results. We took our dog to our local vet for further blood work where nothing was found to be wrong. I called Advanced back multiple times, along with follow-up emails and have not heard back in over two weeks. Very poor communication and business practices.

When things did not go so well post surgery with our cat's tail that needed an amputation, Dr Larson made every effort to make things right. The sutures had come out just 5 days after the surgery (Dr Larson was not the doctor that did the original surgery, but this was at the tip of the tail so maybe not the easiest location to keep closed). The wound was not wanting to heal properly without a tight closure or perhaps related to the necrosis that caused the amputation to begin with. After some back and forth with pictures, the wound was just refusing to stay scabbed over and heal even 20 days post surgery. They had us bring him back in to look at it and prescribed some additional antibiotics which seems to have done the trick. His tail is now healing and we are very thankful for the thoughtful follow up care he received here.

My cat Star has GI Slow Cell Lymphoma, she has been on chemo for three months and now needed a 2nd Ultrasound. I was worried about her stress and the possible need for sedation, since she has been through so much. Hannah called and answered all my questions and concerns about Star's visit. She then came to the car a few minutes later to pick up Star. She was gentle and reassuring with her and stated she would call if there were any issues. I felt peace of mind seeing first hand how Hannah was with Star. The wait was not long, maybe thirty five minutes? After the Ultrasound Hannah brought Star back and said she did great, no sedation needed, and was even giving kisses to the staff. Star looked relaxed and happy upon her return. I will be honest, the initial cost we were facing going in via ER was $860 including sedation. The Ultrasound was booked 3 months ahead at their location. I called our vet who recommended Advanced Veterinary Care Group. We were able to get an appt within a week and the cost was $385. Not only did we get a savings that I can spend on her meds, but the quality of care was exceptional. I highly recommend this facility for Ultrasounds. Our experience was above par.

My Golden Retriever had a Cruciate Ligament tear. My choices were a TPLO surgery thru the Michigan State Vet School or a TTA thru Advanced Vet Care. I opted for the TTA procedure at this hospital for 3 reasons: 1. It was closer to my house. 2. It was $1k cheaper 3. I read that the TTA was almost equivalent to the TPLO surgery and the major difference was that the TPLO-trained doctors get to charge more because they are vested in training expenses on how to do the TPLO surgery. Now 4 months later, I am SO SORRY I did. We NEVER got a phone call checking on the status of our POOR MISTY after this major surgery. When I did call I was told that any follow up should be done thru my regular vet. Well, 4 months later I took her in to my regular vet for an eye infection and had her knee checked out to see how it was faring. My vet told me that theres a lot of grinding and crackling in her knee and also 'clicking.' The fact that her leg muscles in that knee were atrophied and getting worse showed she wasn't putting any weight on it. My vet said the clicking was probably due to a tear in the meniscus. To be fair it was hard telling if the meniscus(in the knee) was torn before the surgery and NOT addressed during the cruciate ligament surgery or if it developed AFTER the surgery but in either case the meniscus would've been addressed and 'released' in a TPLO surgery. My doctor doesn't wanna do a 'meniscus release' procedure on my poor misty and put her thru that all over again. She will probably be on anti inflammatory and pain meds for the rest of her life or as long as her liver and kidneys can handle them.

Cant say enough good things about this facility. I had to take my dog in for 3 separate surgeries. Dr Elmer and Dr Larson were both compassionate and informative. They walked me through procedures, answered my questions and concerns, and gave me peace of mind through this difficult time. Not to mention the staff here are incredibly lovely, you can tell they genuinely care about what they do. I have recieved phone calls from the office just to even check in on how my dog was doing. I am grateful to the staff and surgeons here who took great love and care with my dog and who made such a stressful few months much easier.

Took my cat here for a perineal urethrostomy surgery. He had previously had the surgery and I was told by two other vets that it couldn’t be done again and I needed to think about putting my cat down. I was devastated. Not only did Dr. Elmer do the surgery but the rest of the staff spent time making sure that I was okay and understood why I was upset. If any of my animals need surgeries, my very first option is Advanced. Super kind, caring, and the best people.

Poor customer service... I had my dog in for a TTA Rapid Cruciate surgery. After 2 days the stitches started to come out. I call the veterinary and forward pictures that was sent to me. They told me not to worriy , he had additional stitches inside. 2 days later the stitches came unraveled exposing open wound to the bone. I took him to primary vet and needed er surgery , additional $ 660 .00 . The following Monday morning I call the vet and was told to basically pound sand. If they would have brought him in on Thursday and restitched him I would have not spent the Xtra money. I yet to have someone call me. Now I will resort to small claims court to recoup $$ .

Dr. Elmer and his team removed a difficult tumor that our vet would not touch. Our girl has fully recovered now, we are so grateful. Thank you for saving her, you are much appreciated. Love and hugs to you all!

My care and surgery was fairly priced and expertly done. Everything was explained clearly, risks, as well as expected outcomes. Staff was very alert to pets, as they should be. Surgeon gave me a lot of confidence with his experience and knowledge.

I was SO nervous for the well being of my dog, but the doctors took excellent care of him. They performed an amputation that he recovered from beautifully, and acclimated to it in a very short time. He's now a healthy and playful boy thanks to their help. I hope I don't need to go back, but if the need does arise, there isn't anywhere I'd rather take him.

I was put in charge of a stray dog that had been found locally at a place I worked security at. While we tried to find the owners and went through all of the details of re-homing after no owners turned up, Advanced Veterinary was a god send during the whole time. They gave her a full check up, caught her up on vaccines and kept her for a couple of days for me after she was found. The whole time, I could call and check on her whenever I needed and they told me any and all of the information I needed. Could not have asked for better care than what she received. Thank you to Dr Elmers and the whole staff.

The biggest regret of my life. I hope you will be wiser than I and not take your dog to this place. Last December, I took our two-year-old mixed breed Shih Tzu Pomeranian for surgery for a luxating patella on the right leg; I entrusted my dog to the veterinary center receiving the smiling assurance “do not worry! We will take good care of him”; forty-minutes later, he was dead. I will not go over the medical aspect on these lines, for this topic; I am working on filing an official complaint to the veterinary board. The fact that the dog completed (in a different vet hospital) with no complications the same surgery six months earlier on the left leg is striking enough. The aspect I see relevant for this area is the lack of compassion I found in the doctors when, after the initial shock, two days later, I returned to understand the event. If you love your dog, then your search for a competent veterinary center is not over … good luck Aulo and Monica Origlia

Staff was very friendly and professional over the phone and did follow up with one phone call 2 days post surgery. The surgeon also spoke with me to explain the reason for surgery, but I had to ask many questions about medication and the actual procedure being done. My biggest grievance is that personal care was not taken when providing service for my pet and after care was very poor in quality. Post surgery, my dog was WALKED out of the office leashed within 20 minutes after awaking from anesthesia from an elbow surgery, he was highly anxious and erratic with his walking. He attempted and had to jump up into the car.I was thoroughly confused as I advised to provide lift support to keep weight off his leg for the next weeks or so while healing. On closer inspection of his surgical site where his hair was shaved, multiple nick marks were visible and were bright red. Also, the cone that was provided was low quality with nodes sticking out around the neck area and appearing very uncomfortable. This surgery was not cheap and a good quality cone should be expected. I was also never provided a post surgical xray to show the result of the surgery and the surgeon never personally spoke to me as removing the bone was very difficult. When it was time for the removal of stitches, I was told that they do not remove stitches or see pets post surgery and I should follow up with his primary vet. Yet my post op paperwork CLEARLY stated they provide a complimentary stitch removal appointment. I work in the medical field as a physician and having experience in health care, I would state this was poor quality care and would not recommend this facility to any of my family or friends.

I brought my sweet Lucy here when she was just shy of one year old - she needed a TTLA Rapid surgery to get back to being a puppy. Dr. Elmer talked us through all of our options, including expected recovery time and costs associated. Everything went smooth, and years later my pup is doing great! She's over 4 years old now and hasn't skipped a beat since. For recovery, we did opt to get an inflatable neck ring as opposed to the cone of shame, and it made it much easier for Lucy to get around and into rooms/cars/etc. Since Lucy's surgery, I have suggested anyone that need their dog to be checked out or performed on go see the team at Advanced Veterinary Care Group. I wouldn't take Lucy anywhere else. Dr. Elmer also spayed Lucy, which even though a less extensive surgery - went equally as smooth. I wouldn't trust Lucy in anyone else's hands.
