Shady I went to adopt a puppy no one said anything to me about I’m on a no adopt list they did my application approved it called my landlord everything they claimed that I adopted two cats and they had to come to my house to get them wild cats that I did call and ask them to come and get them they was destroying my house this loud mouth weirdo came in the visiting room saying they can’t let me adopt like they the only ones that got puppies that’s 200 dollars I can save for a better puppy not a pit bull but the puppy was so cute but they is very messy

Workers were nice but we were the first people to put in an application for a dog and keep in mind we we got there 30 mins after the dog arrived and was told we were the first. This place is a first come first serve place. The workers messed it up and put out application in 3rd place so we didn't get her. They didn't bother to apologize or show any care. Highly do not recommend this place. If I could leave 0 stars I would. It's so sad that the animals have to suffer from the workers lies and not get adopted.

I’d give 0 stars if I could. I went to adopt a cat and despite my apartment complex approving and my dog being up to date I was met with a lengthy interrogation angled at how unfit I was and was lying about everything I had said. I had two cats from 6 and 8 years ago that I had adopted still on my record. One cat passed away not even a month after adoption because he was so malnourished he didn’t bounce back and the other was kept by an ex. She liked him more, it made sense. But instead of just saying I was denied, I was literally questioned so fast I didn’t have time to respond with multiple angles to the same questions. I had to actually ask to leave because the lady was standing at the door and wouldn’t stop hurdling questions at me long enough to step out of the way despite me having my purse in hand motioning to the door. It was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with someone. Zero professionalism, I don’t use the term “interrogation” lightly here. **Edit: The lady Im referring to is the heavier older woman with grey hair at the desk. After reading all the other low ratings this specific woman is responsible for I figured I’d specify.

My heart melts got the animals! Wish I could take all of them home with me but today was my first time here. We asked to walk one of the dogs but was denied due to not being ready to adopt the dog at that moment which sucked.

I was amazed at how few animals there were. We went in to make a donation and everyone was so nice and thankful.

Very nice and caring people. Animals well taken care of. Please adopt or at least donate your time, some money or food for those sweet animals.

We lost our cat Tuxxy who struggled with chronic breathing problems, and finally a fatal lung infection. We went to the Humane Society. We found a beautiful cat named Sofie, who was $50.00 to purchase. Sofie had been there long enough that they gave her to us for free. She has a loving home, and we could not be happier!

Always a mixed bag of feelings here..your helping an animal to be safe and find a loving forever home and letting them go after receiving all their kisses, snuggles, and emotional support for the (both) of you in reality. But knowing it's for the health and well-being of the animal in the long run. So kuddos to everyone at the Humane society for all their help and support!

Got a dog here during covid, big mistake. Only allowed me to have 15 mins with the dog during my appt, I asked 3 times if I could take him outside to get a better feel for it’s temperament and energy, versus being in a small enclosed room, they refused. 15 mins up, so you want the dog or not? Gave me little info about the dog, I get it. Next, the adoption process: I work during biz hours, so my mom signed the paperwork on my behalf and picked up the dog and had a photo op with it. Return the dog for any reason they said if it doesn’t work out. The dog: super high energy, we didn’t get nearly enough time to spend with the dog to determine if he would truly be a good fit. He scratched up our wood floors beyond repair, high separation anxiety when we had to leave, I have plenty of pics where he jumped up on our guests ripped their jeans and scratched their thigh deeply, myself included, he also bit my arm and ripped the sleeve of my shirt in doing so, he jumped on my 4 year old and scratched her deeply from her chest down to her belly. Knocked over our elderly grandma. We gave him a month to try and work with him and ultimately it was too much. We tried to have family return him since family picked him up and signed for him, they refused to allow us to do that. They said we had unrealistic expectations, broke contract for trying to have someone else return him, in our defense they let someone else pick him up, and banned us from getting another dog there. Why?! You make and change the rules as you go! It feels like we were set up to fail by limiting us to 15 mins, and 1 person in with the dog in the small room. Extremely unrealistic on this facilities behalf to adopt dogs in this manner. When my husband returned the dog and signed your paper work, why was nothing mentioned then? Incredibly rude mannered people working here.

If I could give zero stars I would. This organization and its employees are a joke. They will give you misleading and untruthful information to get you to adopt from them. My girlfriend and I went in and wanted to adopt a dog to add to our family. After listing our current dog and vet they called our vet and found that our dog needed a vaccination (that is not detrimental or really necessary according to our vet). One employee explained that if we were to get our dog the vaccination and heart worm preventative by close of business the following day they would be more than happy to move forward with the adoption process. We did as they asked and spent a substantial amount of money to do so, just to be told that the dog in question was already pending adoption. So they made us spend hundreds of dollars on our current dog to meet their requirements which our veterinarian explained was a little extreme just to be told sorry about our luck at the end of the day. Not to mention another employee claimed that she was present for a conversation that she wasn’t present for just to cover the other employees rear end. I spoke with the organization manager Lynn who was very rude and condescending, also talking in circles and defending the employee who told a blatant and bold faced lie. These people will do and say whatever they have to in order to cover each other backsides. Nothing but misleading informational and lying, condescending employees here. They should all lose their jobs for their lack of consideration for good people who want to provide a nice forever home for these poor animals instead of letting them live in a tiny cell for god knows how long. I will be making contact with the organization coordinator to push for disciplinary actions against these senseless neanderthals.

They tried telling me a dog was aggressive and that my apartment complex wouldn’t allow the dog. for starters that was the only dog in there that wasn’t barking and jumping around so I cal bull .. and 2: how do you know where I live without even knowing the name of my apartment complex then she caught an attitude when I ask her that.. I’ve came to a conclusion when it comes to a person with a different skin color they do not want that person to adopt a dog

Fell in love with this puppy as they had me spend time with him, turns out my current dog is behind a couple weeks on his shots and can't get them current for 3 days so they won't let me adopt or hold him for me im very upset over it. Been trying to adopt a puppy for a year now through various shelters. I hope leo and the rest of the animals there find good homes I

had an appointment yesterday to go see a cat , was told to arrive 10 minutes before. I did so. called / couldn’t get ahold of anyone on the phone so i went to the door. had 3 WORKERS see that i was standing there but couldn’t open the door even when i was knocking. finally got in, when i was sat down I was greeted by a worker named Brenda. very rude. i found a cat i liked , they left me a voicemail saying everything was approved but when i called back the next morning, they said they couldn’t get ahold of the apartment complex. brenda was on the phone/ of course still plain out rude. this place used to be nice & workers used to be so sweet. such a hassle so i went somewhere else.
