Gasow has been our family Veterinary practice for over 30 years. We trust the care they provide to our pets and appreciate the staff for all they do, especially during the pandemic. We know it hasn’t been easy. They were still always there for us. Their hours of availability are unmatched. Having the on-site pharmacy is also a plus.

My daughters cat had to be put to sleep and we did the drive up. She is 19 but this was her first pet to put down alone and she said the staff was amazing!! They made her and lily very comfortable and gave my daughter nothing but kind words, they even squeezed her in because they knew how important this was. They also in the past helped with a cut eye on my dog and it felt like they were NOT there just to take my money but to help the pet. Worth the wait and they didn’t leave a hole in my pocket!

Unfortunately we were underneath dire circumstances when we brought our kitty in, she had passed away there. Friendly staff considerit and fair... I'd go back any day Good Job.

Gasow's team has taken excellent care of our dogs for the past 10 years. One frustration is that appointments are rarely on time. Other than that we have been very happy.

We have been a customer of Gassow for 32 years. We moved out of the area to Saline, and continued to return to Gassow. My dog is aging and is having a lot of issues. So we tried to make an appointment to get him in, but they were booked. They told my husband to call at 8 AM to see if there is a cancelation that we could get him in at. So he did, and a 1:15 opened. So my husband left work early from the Airport, to Saline to pick up our dog, and drove out to Gassow. He was 15 minutes late for the appointment, and they refused to see Buddy, because they didn't want to inconvenience anyone else because we were late. Wow. And frankly, in hindsight the last time we brought him there, it took the doctor about two weeks to return a call to us after they had the results from a test. When we asked what the best way to proceed would be, she just said to wait a few weeks, implying that he may die, so don't spend the money. This is not the GASSOW that we had grown to love. We will not be back.

Gasow's has been our family vet for over 50 years. There is no other place like it. Their doctors are compassionate and very good at diagnosing, caring, and helping owners make difficult decision regarding treatment. And, I can not say enough good things about the staff. Thank you to all the Gasow team!!! From Jill, Scott, and Rainah

Dr. Wright and all of the staff were absolutely wonderful. This was the first vet that didn’t push me out of the room, he took his time and treated me and my boy life family. You can clearly see his love for his profession, I highly highly recommend this place!!!

I'll start by saying that I didn't want to have to write this review... The service I received in my two times here was prompt and the people friendly. However, I feel that Gasow includes everything else that makes vet visits pretty unappealing... By that I mean, upcharging/add-ons of additional services, lack of pricing transparency, and incorrect information being provided leading to surprises upon completion of services. I had brought our cat to Gasow months and months ago due to some gunk next to her eyelid. They did their thing and suggested some prescription drops but mentioned they would need to do some more testing to rule out some other possibilities. Cost was not mentioned, but I asked and was told it would be a couple hundred or so for this additional test. Point is, I should not have to ask what something will cost. Seems the assumption is the client just says yes and cost is dealt with after. Anyways, I declined, and the drops worked fine and no further issues since. My second experience here was earlier this week for a new puppy wellness exam/first visit. I called and was told they were booked up till end of November but added myself to the cancellation list. Oddly enough I got a call later that day and was told I could come in same day... Great as I wanted to get this done promptly to ensure the puppy was healthy and all was well. On the phone I was asking about cost for the entire visit as again, I am not a fan of surprise charges at the end of visits. I was told verbatim $57.50 for the wellness exam, $33 for the 2nd round booster shots, and $5 for a COVID/OSHA compliance surcharge?? When I arrived and saw the doctor, the first question was if I brought a stool sample... No I did not. Maybe I should have known? But regardless was not told. In regards to the wellness exam the doctor quickly looked at ears, eyes, belly, and listened to heart. Was then taken to another room for vaccination and to obtain a stool sample. All in all, a quick visit and I was told the puppy was healthy. Honestly, it didn't seem very thorough from an outsiders perspective, but I am not the vet. Upon check out (which is done via phone from your car), I was told my total was now $165.13. The wellness exam went down to $32.13, but the additional vaccinations became $33 for the booster + $35 for Bordatella. Previous assumption was that it included in the original cost I was told over the phone. Additionally the fecal matter test was $60... again assumed this was included, as it was in no way specified prior to the visit. And perhaps I making this a bigger deal than it is, but I feel that vet practices operate in this way because they know you will be forced to pay it. The lack of pricing transparency is always concerning and additional services are basically assumed as accepted and cost will be settled later. Had the costs been discussed upfront and communicated correctly, I truly would not be writing this review. You don't ask someone to put a new roof on your house, or install a new HVAC unit, and then ask for the cost of services after the job is complete, it is agreed to beforehand. Unfortunately many hospitals/vets operate in this way because they can. Personally, I will be looking elsewhere for future visits for both of our animals. Upon researching further I've discovered many other lower cost options that focus on providing optimal care with full pricing transparency (all costs listed on website so you know what you are looking at prior to the visit). Again, the people are friendly and service relatively prompt, but I am looking elsewhere for the aforementioned reasons.

Took my poor cat for a walk-in emergency visit on Friday evening after our usual vet told us they could not see her for at least another month. The staff is working extremely hard to balance giving the patients the right amount of care but also respecting everyone's time. I can appreciate this is extremely difficult with the conditions of the pandemic. We had to come back Sunday morning due to her conditions not improving. My cat is now perked back up to her usual self and we will monitor her from here. I will probably switch to Gasow as our normal vet because this is the first vet that took my concerns seriously.

My cat needed emergency attention and Gasow was where everyone told me to go... Boy o boy was that a mistake. I got there at 9:30a, and sat in the parking lot until 1:45, I had to call twice and was put on hold for over 15 minutes each time. I don't know where the mix-up went but I was clearly forgotten and their system for waiting in the parking lot clearly does not work. The receptionist on the phone was kind of nice about forgetting about us, the tech that brought us back didn't even speak to me. Then I sat in the room for another 45 minutes. I had to grab my things and go after finding a better vet that's taking us in asap. Thanks for the waste of time and poor customer service Gasow.

Cannot say thank you enough, Gasow. This was the only vet in the area that would see our dog who had a sudden growth appear, we called eight other vets and were told they could see him in 3 months. Gasow not only got to him that same day but had his surgery scheduled the next day to remove it. We were given estimates throughout the process and they did phenomenal work to help our dog. They go above and beyond for their patients

My dog was having a heart attack then they told me he had never been there (maybe I gave them the wrong number not sure I was hysterical) which is not true and they refused to see him as he was lying limp in my arms in v fib. I took him home and gave him human cardiac meds a calcium channel blocker and baby aspirin. And I have taken many many animals there throughout the years. Not just Dexter. He has lived through the weekend but he is in agony!

I was so happy I chose to come here instead of my normal vet. My year old cat has been having digestive issues and my normal vet prescribed the wrong kind of medication that is meant for older cats and was actually making her feel worse. Every staff member was so accommodating and nice compared to every other veterinary or emergency place I have been to. They were not dismissive of the symptoms I was telling them about and did not try to push Purina dry food onto her diet!! Every other vet I have been to says to ditch her raw/wet food diet for purina pro plan or science diet which I will NEVER do. So glad to have found a vet who has knowledge on nutrition and a better understanding of cats overall.

Super kind nurses and doctors. Answered any questions I had and made sure my pet was comfortable with them before the exam.

Doctors spend time with you and your pet. They know what they are doing. Staff very friendly and helpful. Today, Sept. 7, 2021 I would not give such a good review. For several days I have tried to contact them but am put on hold for 20 minutes or more. They have also raised their prices. Bad business.

Quick, professional, friendly and able to get an appointment the same week. Our dog has anxiety and they took great care of her. Thank you Gasow!

10 year plus costumer. Recently they started taking appointments, since then the wait for walk in has been 1 to 2 hours. Truly awful when you dog has unexpectedly hurt themselves. I liked it much better as a walkin only clinic. Vets are top notch Pandemic update their service continues to decline only taking walkins for a few hours A-day today I called they told me they would see my injured dog if I came right in when I arrived they said all their spots were full and turned me away they don't care about dogs anymore it seems last time I'll ever go there

I’ve been coming here for years and have always had an okay experience. Not this time. Showed up to my appointment on time, waited 30 minutes to get in the building, waited and HOUR inside the room with my cats before being seen, took about 10 minutes to actually get the shots we came for, waited another 20 minutes after getting the shots to “have someone walk me out”, then they told me to wait in the parking lot so I could pay the bill over the phone, they called after 15 minutes. Over 2 hours for 10 minutes worth of shots. Not to mention the $300 bill. Won’t be going back.

If you can get in, the doctors are great. Some of the front desk works are good and some are bad. Overall, they are way too busy and better with pets then they are with people.

I'm a Pet Sitter for two different families that own two dogs each from Waterford that both go here. They answered my concerned calls when owners where on vacation and got help with any questions i had with the pets i'm taking care of.
