Very courteous and caring. Willing to answer questions. Yes ,there was a wait but remember what we're going through right now. A life threatening emergency will go before one that's not life threatening. They're doing their very best. I will use them again if necessary.

We had to make the very difficult decision to euthanize our dog due to a ruptured spleen and cancer that had metastasized to his lungs. After paying over the phone, we were allowed to come inside to be with our dog during the euthanasia procedure. We were stunned when the vet tech brought us the WRONG dog. We informed the tech of the mistake, she apologized and shut the door. We could hear her shouting at someone that they had sent her with the wrong dog. My mind was racing. Where was my dog? Was my dog still alive? Was the prognosis I was given for my dog accurate? Several minutes later, It was explained to us that the receptionist that took our initial payment on the phone had charged us for the other dog's treatments by mistake. The vet assured us that the prognosis for our dog was accurate. We graciously accepted their apologies and paid the remainder of our actual bill. We left that day grief stricken, and never noticed that our receipt had a balance. They were supposed to apply the initial payment (for the WRONG dog) to our file and never did. They have no record of the mistake their receptionist made that day. They refuse to cross reference the payments from other patients that day. What would have happened if we had paid over the phone ,but made the choice not to be there for the euthanasia procedure? Who would have stopped them from euthanizing the wrong dog? That's the scariest question.

Said it would be $3000 to bring my dog in for oxygen. This place is scam. No decency no kindness no care! DO NOT GO HERE.

Just an awful experience. $1400 for 2 rounds of X-rays and blood work over a 20 hour period only to be sent home with the instructions to take to my normal vet in 7 days for a follow up. I should have listened to the other reviews but was desperate after getting turned away by three other emergency vets that were at capacity. AVOID AT ALL COST (literally)

We had to bring our 21year old kitty to cross the rainbow bridge. They were amazing to us and to her. They gave us plenty of time with her before and after and never made us feel rushed. We called our normal vet with still 2 weeks later no return call and lots of places were not taking new patients which i understand. But affiliated got us right in amd the care they had was impecable! ❤❤

First of all, the message you have to listen to at the beginning is very unprofessional. They state, "our staff are tired" amongst a 2-minute-long monotone recording - it's a very condescending message. Took our dog to this business yesterday after he was unable to eat for several days. You have to wait in the car, which was not told prior to our arrival, neither was any indication of an EXTREMELY long wait time. Over the phone, 4 hours later, they told us our dog had a mass on his spleen and liver, "So we can euthanize tonight, or you can take him home and wait a few days." They told us our dog was dying OVER THE PHONE! I asked if we could discuss this in person as this was shocking and devastating news, but the doctor said the COVID protocol was not allowing them to do so. I can understand that to an extent, but if you have to tell someone their beloved pet is dying - let them come inside. Then when it was time to pay, we were allowed to come into the vestibule. Could we not have spoken to the doctor inside the vestibule? So you can take my money in person, but cannot break horrible news in person? Take your pet somewhere else unless you want them to go through an emergency situation alone, with rude doctors and staff, and incredibly long wait times.

I had to put down my pet on Thanksgiving. This was my first time having to do this, and it was extremely difficult. Dr. Lobkovich, Aurora at the front desk, and the vet tech were all very helpful, informative, and caring. I am so thankful that the vet explained what she was doing and went slowly to make sure everything was peaceful for my baby. I am really grateful for them taking such good care of my cat, Bubba. She was truly the best! Thank you AVES!

After looking at reviews it seems like this is more of a place to take your pet to be euthanized. Expect to spend your entire day waiting only to be charged a ridiculous amount of money. And the service is average at best, so it’s not like you’re paying for it. The staff has no communication skills. Seriously, call around and go anywhere else you can.

Please don’t take your animal here if they are experiencing a critical emergency. The recording when I called should have been my first clue, but I was in a panic so I settled for this dump. It’s not an emergency vet. Their website advertises critical patients being seen IMMEDIATELY, but it took four HOURS for my dog to be seen while he had been ACTIVELY BLEEDING from a several inch laceration. I was terrified he would bleed out in the car. They don’t even come out to assess the severity of the situation. The front desk is incompetent and rude. I will absolutely never return. My stomach is turning thinking about what my dog is currently going through while we are stuck waiting in the car and what they will ultimately end up charging for this garbage service. What a joke.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We were waiting for just under 3 hours and every time we called for an update, we kept being told that there was one pet in front of us. We were then told by Sam that since our dog was stable, we had to keep waiting. There was no sense of urgency and it was a “it is what it is” attitude, especially every time we were transferred to Sam. Our puppy’s issue could’ve possibly only taken about 7-10 min at the most to resolve, instead we just kept getting pushed back. I understand that animals may come in that are in critical condition but even a phone call update would’ve been better than just sitting clueless and wondering what’s taking so long.

Ashley the front desk receptionist and Dr Rachel we're so very kind with empathy and consideration for my cat, Christmas. She was 12 years old and was sick and they helped her cross the bridge peacefully. I am sad that I lost my cat but without them I'm sure the road would have been rougher. I appreciate them so very much. I would definitely come here again for any services that I needed for my pets.

They were clear and honest about care, likely outcomes and estimated costs.

Not sure how you can be an ER vet and not take “new patients” my dog was possibly poisoned and now i have to search around google for an ER vet to take him too. Pathetic.

If you want to use this "emergency" clinic you better teach your dog to play dead Bc that's the only way they're going to admit them. You get absolutely no updates with your waiting time even if you're the next person in line for 3 hours straight. Took my pet here because of her tear duct prolapsing and completely crowding out the eye socket and could not get in with the 6 hours of a chance I gave them. Arrived at 5:30 and waited until I started writing this review. Currently about to head to another clinic with hopes they can help her and she doesn't loose her eye. Bet plenty of fur babies have bled out in this parking lot. So many dog ghosts, now I have to wash my car. Blood is on their hands

My cat had degloved his tail the week before, and before I could see my vet he damaged it further. I called around to several places before Affiliated answered and told me I could bring him in. They were professional, kind, and clear about any costs that were incurred before I brought him in. They listened to me and explained the plan before putting it into action. I greatly appreciate the help and service from this practice. My fluffy dude is home and safe, when I wasn't sure that would be the case. Thank you so much.

My heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff at Affiliated Veterinary. Saturday night my beloved little buddy cat Bitty passed away suddenly from we're guessing a heart ailment. We rushed him there as quickly as possible and the staff at Affiliated took Bitty in immediately but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done. As heartbroken as we are to lose our little buddy, the staff at Affiliated was very consoling and kind in helping us not only understand what possibly happened but also helped us decide the final arrangements. Also as we were leaving they presented us with his little paw print in cement, which I will always treasure. Again thank you from my heart!

Sat for 3 hours outside before dog was seen for a 1/4 cut ear. Afterwards receptionist quotes $900 bill for cutting more of the ear off, stitches, anesthesia, blood work for heartworms, antibiotics, and meds. Then said if your don't have it what can you afford. This place is a straight hustle. Going elsewhere.

They are very helpful. It is an emergency vet, so make sure you just have some patience. It's gonna be a wait, but you'll get clear and helpful answers.

Fyi, they do not allow you inside facility with your pet. My dog was having trouble breathing and coughing up blood and they made me sit in my car for hours while they ran tests and decided treatment. It was absolutely terrifying for me and sure even worse for my dog.

Called to try and put my dog to rest and was put off by the rudest receptionist ever. After explaining my dog was in a lot of pain and inevitably at the end of his life(in-between being interrupted as she clearly was not going to listen anyway) we needed him to be euthanized, the woman coldly stated that they are performing an emergency surgery and there's no way they would be able to do it. And then ended the call. No "sorry to hear about your pet", no "unfortunately we cannot", just straight up no you need to go somewhere else, we're too busy for your problem. I get that COVID has put a strain on a lot of businesses, I didn't need the 2 minute answering machine message to tell me that when I called; being a place that offers care for a pet, no, a family member should show more kindness and patience for all calls for help. In our most desperate time of need to help our poor dog pass on, we were basically disregarded like our situation was no where near as important as whatever surgery they were about to perform. Luckily I found a place that showed more compassion and were able to help my family put our dog to rest. I wouldn't bring a goldfish to this place if that's the extent of their warmth for anyone experiencing something as traumatic as a long time pet dying in front of them and their children.

They made the transition for our beloved dog easy. Offered us our private time to say our goodbye to him. I would like to say thank you to them.

Arrived at 1pm with my dog after she was attacked by a larger dog. It’s now 6:17pm and after almost 5 and a half hours of sitting in my car I’m leaving. What a waste of time.

I took my dog there because he was not eating or drinking. After 7 hours of waiting, he passed away in our vehicle in the parking lot. I called multiple times check on how much longer. I was told I had one more person ahead of me, and they were dealing with criticals and euthanasias. The parking lot had emptied out.
