Wellesley Animal Hospital helped me out when I was visiting the area. The front desk was friendly and helpful, and Dr. Hartman was wonderful!

I have been taking my cats (2 generations) here for several years. Their compassion and way with each unique personality is impressive. They have helped us through various stages of life and health needs. They are like family.

My cat is very anxious and I thought she would dash to the corner of the room when the vet got her out of her carrier to examine her. But between the vet’s calm, reassuring manner and perhaps the cold table, Tabitha stayed perfectly still for the whole exam - even the shots! The vet also gave me some helpful advice for both her anxiety and a runny eye, both of which I could do at home without any medications or further treatment. (Of course some runny eyes do require meds, but Tabitha’s runny eye was probably stress-related. I would highly recommend them!

I have taken my 3 dogs here over about a 25 year period. Dr. Hartman, Dr. Tast, and the staff care for my pets as if they were their own. I could not be more pleased. I moved out of Wellesley to Dover five years ago and still come back to Wellesley Animal Hospital.

I have been bringing my dog Reckless here for about twelve years for everything from his yearly physical to his problem of the week. Having a terrier that thinks he can fly, has bad allergies, and loves eating sticks and rocks has brought us constant interaction with his vet. As he got older he developed chronic ear problems from allergies and Wellesley animal hospital worked with me closely to control the outbreaks. They managed his constant emergencies as well as developed a consistent treatment plan that not only took into consideration his symptoms but also his long chronic history. Later, when his ear needed surgery, they worked with the specialist and continued to be instrumental in his treatment and recovery. They combed through his endless records and supplied years of his liver testing results that helped regulate his steroids and were able to conclude the exact time of year his flare ups from his allergies happened. This information was critical in developing a post surgery treatment plan and greatly reduced unnecessary anti biotic treatment. I have my own dog walking and sitting business and I have worked directly with numerous vets in the area and our favorite is Wellesley animal hospital. They have always been there for us.

My tiny, fragile pup Layla has the best veterinary care at Wellesley Animal Hospital.

I brought Annie, 11 months old Golden Retriever, to get spayed yesterday. The surgeon left the very detailed message and she called me twice yesterday afternoon to make sure she is doing all right and I am doing the right thing. The stuff member called me this morning to see Annie is going to pee or not which seems very important factor after the surgery. She is making the great recovery last 36 hours. I really appreciate the care we received. My husband, physical therapist, said the incision looks great. I am glad I brought Annie to Wellesley Animal Hospital. Thank you. Tamie

Most caring, responsible and responsive staff! Each doctor in this practice will take the time to talk to you, explain your pet condition, give you valuable guidelines and recommendations. From the receptionnist that greets you to the vets that will treat your pet, I have no words to describe how compassionate, professional and knowledgeable they all are. So grateful and lucky we found them.

The vets and staff saved my little street rescue kitty who was 16 oz when I got her and 14 oz when I got her into their care... Rescue pups and kitties are more than worth the time and effort but you better be darn sure you know where your vets are and the animal hospital is... They are street survivors but they need love and care. And they will throw you some curves. They will repay that with loving but independent spirit.

I very rarely write reviews for anything. I'm not even tempted to do so unless the place is really terrible or really outstanding. Wellesley Animal Hospital is outstanding, mostly because they know how to handle animals without frightening them. I've never had a cat take vaccinations so well, as both of mine do at Wellesley Animal Hospital.

Fantastic Doctors all around. They're compassionate, they listen (even when you sound crazy!), and their love for animals really comes through. Several years ago, my dog was suffering from seizures and it was terrifying to watch. Dr. Hartman worked with us to find the right medication for him and he hasn't had an episode since. Don't even think about it, just go see them.

Every single staff member there is just the nicest. I've been to many veterinary clinics with our cats, this is the best one yet. Can't recommend them enough.

Just shifted here from another veterinary clinic because of Wellesley Animal Hospital's excellent reputation and because I couldn't stand the corporate affiliation of my prior clinic.

The staff are all always helpful and pleasant. The vets are amazing and their prices are much more reasonable than other veterinarians that I have used in the past. I recommend them highly.

We have been going to Wellesley Animal Hospital for 5 years, since my Australian Labradoodle was a puppy. We love all the vets. If I’ve had a question for the vet, she always calls back in a timely manner. Dr. Tast and Dr. Hartman are friendly, compassionate, approachable and knowledgeable ! Thankfully, we have never needed emergency care and hope we never will, but I trust they would be wonderful!

We have been going to Wellesley Animal Hospital for 32 years - through 6 cats and a hamster. Vets Liz Hartman and Janet Trask are incredible! Warm, caring, very knowledgable, never rushed, thorough and great with our pets as well as with us (especially during difficult end of life times). The office staff is always responsive and organized. Wellesley Animal Hospital has a stellar reputation in Wellesley and surrounding towns, and we have had exceptional service in all ways. We feel very fortunate that they are our pets Vets and highly recommend them!

Brought our dog here for a second opinion. The vet was knowledgeable and kind. Listened and addressed our concerns without making us feel bad. Our dog is now on the road to recovery we hope and we will be back. Definitely would recommend 10/10. The receptionist was very nice and helpful as well.

For 16 years our dog Fozzie was in the best care. He was an extremely healthy mini Poodle his entire life. We can't thank Dr. Hartman and the rest of the team for all the understanding and care showed to us and Fozzie over the years .

We had a great experience with this vet. We love Wellesley Animal Hospital. Friendly, approachable, good informed advice and assistance with each step that we needed for our new adopted dog. They are great. We'll 100% go back on a regular basis. Great staff, nice vets, easy communication, excellent response time with tests. Everything was great.
