We went to ask for information about some dogs Sally or any of her little sisters We were attended by a very friendly girl while we asked her a question, an adult lady came out and in a very bad way told her that she will close the door for us I suffer from anxiety and depression and currently Cancer came back for that reason I look for a puppy to distract me and have a partner

Very poor communication.. I’ve emailed several times and have gotten zero response.. i missed out on a couple of precious looking puppies because of this..

Had a lovely conversation with Save a Dog as we are planning an adoption soon. I also love that this shelter is holistically minded and doesn’t advocate for unnecessary vaccinations. I wish there were more like this!

Don’t adopt just go and buy one. I wasted my time filling an application and having people sending letters so I could adopt a dog, they ask for everyone living in the same house to come and we were going to come on Saturday and then they told me they were just going to give it to someone else. They just want to get rid of the dogs and make that money lol If you’re going to be adopting go to a different place or just buy one is way easier and you don’t have to deal with this. Btw they never answer me back I send them more emails and they just ignored me????

Great experience and people were a pleasure to work with. Very happy with the dog we adopted. I would recommend this place, if you're looking for a new companion.

Everyone here is super nice, really care for all their animal charges and spend the time to make sure each addition is a good match for all involved.

It should not cost so much $ to save a dog

Wholesome, knowledgeable, and dedicated. Every part of our experience there was easy and comforting. I could not give enough praise to the great work Shirley and all of the staff do for these animals.

Fantastic staff and a wonderful adoption experience. Great supplements, food, and supplies available right onsite. Complete transparency and knowledgeable people made this a food experience.

Beware!!!! A friend recently adopted a dog from here and the dog is older then what she was told, and has many issues 1 being cancer , kidney stones and not to mention a few other things i will not get into .....she loves the dog and has put over 7 thousand dollars into saving this poor dog and the dog probably will not live long . I had to give 1 star in order to post this review and i feel 1 star is too good.

Their website is kinda sketchy. Their blog posted something about not needing vaccinations for your dogs, except rabies. And vets are just trying to get money from you. Seems a little too anti-vaxx for my tastes.

This shelter privately scolded our friend after she lost two cats to feline leukemia just months after adopting them from here. They deserve public ridicule for their insensitive actions.

What a great experience. It's a sweet little shelter. The staff are so friendly. I never felt rushed. Snickers has been a great addition to our family.

For my efforts to help the critically ill, FeLV positive kittens I adopted from Save a Dog and to save other pet parents from heartbreak, owner Shirley Moore has accused me of being entitled, cruel, and a liar. Stay away.

A wonderful rescue with volunteers focused on finding forever homes for abandoned and homeless dogs.

Incredible dog shelter. I have gotten two dogs from here and I love how I get to see them out in the yard playing to really see their unleashed personality. All of the workers are very kind and easy to talk to.

As potential adoptive parents of a dog, my wife and I brought our dog to meet his new brother (hopefully). The volunteer staff were very professional and answered all our questions. If you are thinking about bringing a new canine member into your family, Save A Dog would be a great place to start

My husband & I were looking for additional family member , we have no children & loss our 16 yr old yorkie , we were so ready to adopt ,, Then we met donna & theo what a gift ,save a dog has a great philosophy of holistic care of these dogs , we should be so lucky as to have someone look out for our best interest as they do for the care of their dogs . the process was both intelligent & caring to match he dogs & the adopters. I will definitely adopt through them again --- donna,, theo's foster was knowledgeable & compassionate - thank god for all these compassionate people that donate their "time " to the cause .... Thank you so much for Theo , he is a gift ,,,, muriel, les & Theo

I adopted a Dog from this place 12 years ago. Jumped thru all their hoops, finally I was approved for the adoption. I bring home this sweet puppy and after a vet check from my vet I learned her age was not even close to what I was told, much older not the same breed, and was not at all good with certain things as stated. Shirley Moore is the biggest Fraud when adopting from here. My pup turned out to be my best friend and my much Loved Fur Baby. She had many undisclosed medical issues but lived a Great life for 12 years until she passed to the Rainbow Bridge on 12/28/2019. If adopting is really what you want please find another rescue agency. Shirley Moore thinks she controls all these pups.

Drove all the way for an open day meet and greet that stated it was open to the public. Was not aware that you had to have your while family and other pets with you. Will have to make the trip again.
