discriminates against clients based on personal medical choices.

This business does not allow you to go in with your pet if you are unvaccinated. Talk about messed up. If they are vaccinated what are they worried about? Tyrants.

!! SEGRAGATION !! My family, even after moving out of Springfield, have been loyal customers choosing to bring our pets and support Spruce Hill for over 16 years. Outside of the smell of urine (which is reasonably understandable) we haven't had any issues. However after recent events we have realized that Spruce Hill is questioning people's medical backgrounds and segregating people as such. By picking and choosing admittance to only the people that they consider to be in proper medical standing. We absolutely respect their personal right to run their business as they choose. However we do NOT agree with their lack of ethics. Treating groups of people differently based on their medical standings is wrong. We know that this is wrong and I nor my family will be supporting Spruce Hill any longer. I hope that this review will be useful to some and especially to the owners.

I had been a loyal Spruce Hill customer for over 40 years and enjoyed excellent care for my dog and 3 cats. Sadly, my last cat passed away a little over a year ago. When I called today to schedule an appointment for my new cat (3 years old rescue cat), I was informed that they would not accept her as she is not a kitten or puppy. I am astounded and disgusted at this atrocious treatment for a long time customer.

I had a my past puppy brought here with stomach issues and there only solution was to give him shots that made him worse we later had to put him down due to the shots making him worse every time I look at this place I tear up because they were no help to my family and I

Staff is not friendly. The Veterinarian is not patient in answering questions too.

Truly cares, takes the time to explain and discuss what's going on with your pup. Best around!

The vet is always rushed and boarder line rude. We took our little dog for an an eye issue and was given a prescription for eye drops. After many months of trying to get him better ,we ended up having to have his eye surgically removed. I wouldn't recommend this vet to my enemies!

Took my 11 year old dog to the vet in early 2021 because of a bad eye condition. The vet didn't even look at his bad eye because my dog "wouldn't let him." My dog is a 20 lb shih tzu who can easily be held and muzzled. The vet simply said he had dry eye. The medicine they gave us didn't fix the problem and we ended up having to take him all the way to Deerfield to see an animal eye specialist. Now his eye has to be removed when this problem could have been solved months ago if the vets here did their actual job.

Amazing veterinarians and staff who care for all critters. It is nice having a humane and reliable place to take in injured wildlife. They are an great part of our community.

A little edgy. Not much of a welcoming place, possibly due to covid precautions.

I have taken my dogs to Spruce Hill since 1982. I consider my pets part of my family and would never trust them with anyone else. Sometimes I have to wait a bit in the outer office. But... the doctors always spend every minute needed with me and my pet. They are more like family than healthcare professionals. I wholeheartedly recommend them!

Been bringing my dogs here for 20 years. I will trust Dr. Crosson with my dogs for as long as he is practicing.

They are a smaller clinic but they provide the absolute best care for your pets. They are also one of the few places that will accept wounded wild animals.

It used to be the best vet around ,... but really gone downhill in recent years. The Vet needs to retire before he hurts someone’s pet.

I just brought an injured bird in. As usual they are so kind and caring. I would never take my pets anywhere else, they are the best.

Dr Himmelstein provided: immediate, caring and professional attention to my black lab/Shepherd mix in the mid 1990's. He got loose, and was cut on something in the woods. I put a tourniquet on his leg in first aid; she did the rest in saving my pal "BB."

First time there and everyone was so nice. Bailey is my first dog in a long time. Her physical was explained step by step. It was a very positive experience.
