i made an appointment three months ago to get my cat fixed. they didn’t call the day before like they said, ignored every one of my calls and voicemails, and my cats about to get pregnant for the third time this year because of it. I’d put 0 stars if i could, they do not prioritize animals

My female dog was spayed here. Very clear instructions, good communication and the surgery was done well. Staff is friendly and caring!

I've been a cat care volunteer since 2019 at Dakin. And they let me go for an unfair reason . I was unable to log in to remove my self from the schedule , Im a volunteer with a learning disability and sometimes I have a hard time focusing and completing tasks . I was unaware that I had forgotten to finish tasks . I was not made aware of this until I got a rude email saying they were basically getting rid of me I feel how they did this is discrimination and they should not treat people with disabilities this way . They should reach out to the volunteers if they miss a shift and see if they are ok or need a schedule changed I got none of that . Once they got a new volunteer coordinator the place went isn't the same the other one actually cared this new person does not care about the volunteers or volunteers with disabilities. I feel I treated unfairly and Im owed an apology for this treatment. Only one staff member was willing to help me and really understood my needs as a volunteer and I was trying really hard to the job on my own but I still needed help like a check list would have been helpful but none of the other staff ever offered to help me at all. The one who sent a rude email telling me I couldnt come back needs to be retrained that email was rude and hurtful. EVERYONE NEEDS to Be TREATED with KINDNESS and RESPECT. The remaining staff needs to be retrained in dealing with Volunteers with disabilites. I'm very hurt that my volunteer position was taken away from me so rudely.

Wonderful staff and clean environment. Services are numerous and inexpensive. My male cat was neutered here and the procedure was done well and the incision site looks clean! Highly recommended.

Dakin has professionals that care deeply about the dogs, cats, birds – all the animals they receive. They have trained team members and loving foster parents to care for them until they can be adopted. They work with animals that have been abused, neglected, abandoned, and need medical care until they can be adopted. After natural disasters they take animals from all over. It is awesome what they do not just for the animals but people that need the companionship.

Adopted a gorgeous young kitten this week. All the staff were friendly, helpful and obviously love helping the animals.

Amazing place they were awesome in trying to help me find my cat and what to do and where to go and who to call.

My only regret is that I didn't come here 1st. We have been trying to get a kitten for my daughter's birthday present for a few weeks now. This is the 3rd place we tried. First two shelters(who will remain nameless) did not have their act together. Dakin was organized, efficient, and made it happen for us in only a couple days. Thank you Dankin on behalf of a very happy 7 year old girl and a grateful family ❤????‍⬛????

Amazing staff and a great humane society for animals. Adopted 2 of our beautiful animals here and grateful for all that they do for the animals under their care! The thrift store is great as well, and knowing the money spent there goes towards the animals means even more.

Fantastic service for the community. I had my 2 kittens spayed for just over $300. Regular Vet cost estimate was more than double that which was unaffordable.
