Shawme is another local formerly veterinarian owned business that has sold out to corporate vet managed care. Translation vet turn over and very young vet techs with no experience. You can however expect to pay double what you expected to pay even in 2020 when vet fees skyrocketed due to pandemic pet demands! If you want robo emails, preprogrammed reminders in your email boxes and follow up calls to sell services like a bank … the corporate care at Shawme will be right up your alley . I’m a 20 year multi pet owner who is disgusted at what this business of managed pet care has turned into.

Everyone made me feel very welcome told me everything that they were going to do for my pups annual visit. I felt very relaxed and my pups we were very happy maybe to happy the whole time we were there

One of the Best Vetenarian Hospital on the Cape. My 11yr old dog was extremely sick and they did everything to make him comfortable and figure out what was actually going on. They solely care of helping you and your animal.There prices are very reasonable and I would highly recommend to my friends and family and anyone out there that dont trust other vets. This Hospital values your pets needs 100 percent ,Thank you Shawme Animal Hospital for being caring to all pets out there!

From the receptionist to the Vet Tech to Dr Abbey Henneman this animal hospital is equal parts compassionate, down to earth as well as top notch in animal care. As a testament to this I have not lived on the Cape in many years (currently live in Rockland) but very recently when my healthy dog had an out of the blue seizure I changed her care over to Shawme Animal Hospital with Dr Henneman. That's how much I respect and trust their care. They were incredibly busy yesterday but they took their time with my baby girl and were very caring and thorough. I know how important it is to have that kind of peace of mind when it comes to our beloved fur kids!!

The staff is always professional and the facility is always clean.

Anytime my Pets have been sick and needed treatment , or even routine visits for check ups and shots, Shawme Animal Hospital always gives the best care.

I have a VERY BUSY German Short-haired Pointer, that gets highly excited and/or anxious. When I brought him in, his anxiety was very evident, even for a nail clipping. 4 of us holding him and the job got done✔????. His tailed the whole time, but he doesn't like his nails touched. Anti-anxiety meds were ordered and obtained for his visit with the Dr next week. The staff was responsive and very kind with my Henry. He was very happy to jump back in my car, but I was happy to have such a professional teamto work with me. Supporting my GSP.

Took Seamus in for his annual. Seen by Dr Dyer and Matt and Malen. Great service. Checked him out thoroughly. Excellent communication, give and take. They are very knowledgeable and compassionate. I trust their input and decisions/suggestions. Thanks everyone - see you next time!!

Taking my dog on a day fully booked for other dogs was a great relief.

Great people and great care for your pets

Lost our Tippy girl back in June.. Was the most heartbreaking moment of my entire life. Everyone is very compassionate here and Doctors Dave and Abby took very good care of her ... I cannot imagine anyone getting use to putting any animal down for any reason.. Our loss has left me broken in ways I never imagined , but were it not for their compassion in that moment I would have been lost forever in grief... I still cry over the only animal I've ever had.. I'm not sure I could ever have another.. But if I ever do I would certainly return here , for the care they give is immeasurable .....

Dr. Dyer did a wonderful and patient job in explaining my little guy’s current situation, options as well perform a follow up call. I have great confidence in her and would highly recommend.

Happy experience! I had an emergency with my baby black fur baby. They took us right in. Everyone was fabulous that works there. So kind and loving to her. Doctor (Dyer)and her assistant (Brianna) were wonderful .Ty all.

The staff was friendly, attentive and provided comprehensive details regarding our 1 year old cat.

My dog was away at training ( overnight)and they called to say that he had come down with a cough, Shawme made sure that we were able to get in right away!! The staff is amazing and care, and take the time needed to answer any questions!!

Our regular vet was not open and our cat was having a problem. Somehow they managed to squeeze us in. What great staff - kind, efficient, and caring. Than you!

My little 12 pound yorkie poo, Izzy was knicked by a car on 6A. It was a really really close call. We rushed her to Shawme Animal Hospital. The entire staff helped us and her. They triaged her immediately and gave her xrays, and sent us home with anti-inflammatories. They also comforted a very worried family! We are so incredibly lucky she is ok, as it could have been so much worse. Thank you to everyone who helped my little Izzy :)
