Noticed how sanitary the hospital was as soon as I walked into the door. Very welcoming and friendly staff! My Rabbit had an amazing first vet experience, thank you!

I can't say enough about how compassionate & helpful Oceanside Animal Hospital was during my recent visits with my two chickens, Rose & Gloria. The outcome for Rose was wonderful but for my other girl Gloria I had to unfortunately make the decision to euthanize. For many people they wouldn't understand that although my pets are chickens it is still painful & emotional. Dr Esmond & the entire staff were so kind to me even as I apologized & worried that I seemed silly. They were also clear about the cost of everything along the way. I always felt like I had all the information I needed. Thank you! I feel confident knowing I have somewhere to turn with concerns in the future.

There was an accident with my pet bird and I needed to get him checked out immediately. I called other vets and nobody could see him. I called Oceanside and they offered to take a look with short notice. They were quick to discover a broken bone in the wing, which requires immediate attention. Every employee was very nice and professional. Dr. Blake and Dr. Esmond were very patient with me as I tried to decide what was best for my pet. Dr. Blake even contacted avian vets in the New England area to help give me all of the options possible. Oceanside has a great team and I would trust them with any pet that I have in a heartbeat!

Oceanside has gone above and beyond for my new puppy. They're patience, kindness, and clear relay of important information is incredibly valued. I would strongly recommend their services to pet owners.

My poor cat, Clarisse, had gotten some serious fur mats during the pandemic and not many places were accepting new clients. A lot of groomers also felt my cat was too rowdy, which didn't pair well with how close to her skin some of these mats were. Luckily, Oceanside was able to make an appointment for my cat just two days after I called, when many places were asking me to wait for weeks. Now my cat is freshly shaved and happy back at home, and I will certainly be making sure those mats don't re-surface! Thank you to everyone at Oceanside for taking good care of Clarisse. She seems much happier without the mats weighing her down and I'm so thankful for your service!

I cannot recommend Oceanside and all of the staff there enough!! I am a native Cape Codder who just took a quick trip home to visit young nieces and nephews, and my rescue pup decided to eat an entire soiled diaper on our first morning there! I called around to maybe 5-6 local Vets (She lives in Barnstable) who were all either booked up or not open because of Covid. One even recommended I travel to Boston to have him looked at! Luckily, I called Oceanside and they were WONDERFUL. They acknowledged that yes, this is extremely dangerous, asked all the appropriate questions, please bring him right in for an emergency visit. They walked me through the steps of what they would do (I won't go into detail on this review, but yuck!) and called me periodically with updates (due to Covid I waited in the car!), and then kept him a little while after to make sure he was feeling alright. Once I realized he was going to be okay, my brain immediately went to dollar signs - this accident was going to cost me an arm and a leg! When I tell you the charge was MORE than reasonable, I was shocked and so thankful. Because of this incredible experience, I am posting about it on every forum where I am able to give them 5 stars :) We hope to move home soon and when we do, we will be going to Oceanside! Thank you all for helping Bruin!!

Long gone are the days where a vet actually cares and is not in it for just the money. This place is absolutely awful and tried to force unnecessary treatment of my animal so that they could profit. And when you advocate for your animal, they request you find another place. Thank you because I plan to. This place has never had my boys best interest at heart and the vet really showed her colors today.

If you have an anxious dog, this veterinary hospital is for you! The last vet I took my dogs to was a VCA and it was unsettling how disorganized they were. So when my dog injured her paw, I was worried where to bring her. My dog has phobias when it comes to loud noises and unfamiliar places, so her anxiety was also a concern of mine. Right away, when I called to inquire about appointments, Nicole was very friendly and kind. She addressed all of my concerns and I was able to bring Sophie in quickly. I wish I knew her name, but the vet tech that took Sophie in and out was so caring, and affectionate towards Sophie. She was very patient with her, and took the time to help Sophie unwind and relax. That meant the world to me. Once Sophie was inside, Dr.Jensen gave Sophie a thorough exam. She called me to discuss and we went over bloodwork from her previous vet, who did not even tell me Sophie had Lyme, discussed her paw injury and treatment options, and answered all of my questions and concerns in a very thoughtful and kind manner. I did not feel rushed whatsoever, and I really appreciate Dr.Jenssen's wealth of knowledge, care and concern for Sophie. I will be recommending OAH to my family, friends and clients. It is hard to find a veterinary practice who is this behavior savvy. I absolutely recommend bringing your dog here, especially if they struggle with anxiety. Sophie says thank you for all of the help, love and treats :-) Thank you to the wonderful staff at OAH!

Who brings a hamster to the vet? We did. He had some sort of infection on his leg and it looked painful. After calling multiple places Oceanside was able to help him. He got antibiotics and pain killers and is doing so much better. I would definitely go back. Will probably start bring my dog here now that we found them. The lady that answers the phone, Lisa, seems super caring and professional. Thanks Oceanside

I just want to thank everyone at Oceanside today. I woke up to a very sick Guinea pig and no one in my area (outer cape) could see him. They saw him as soon as I got him there. Unfortunately the prognosis was not good and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him. Needless to say I was pretty emotional but the staff and vet were so great and made a horrible time slightly more bearable. They were incredibly generous during this hard time (pandemic) and I will be forever grateful.

This animal hospital is filled with amazing people who care deeply about pets and their owners! We arrived on the Cape (for vacation) with a dying bearded dragon and these wonderful, educated and professional people saved her! (And no, we didn’t know she was dying!) Not only did they conduct thorough examinations of our beardie, but they discussed proper husbandry for our pet’s future! Although “Spike” is a lizard (not a dog or cat) they treated her as though she was the most important pet in the world. We were very emotional about maybe losing her and the staff were so compassionate. We cannot thank Dr. Blake, Summer, Nicole and the rest of the staff enough! We just wish they would build a satellite office in our state! What will we (and Spike) do without them? Thank you again!

If you have a chicken, I would advise not to go to Oceanside Animal Hospital. The staff didn’t seem to know how to handle my bird, were not knowledgeable on what was actually wrong with her foot, and did not have common “farm sense”. After …

We will be the first to give a very poor review for a very bad experience. Our vet referred us to Oceanside for a dental X-ray for our beloved cat. We made a 10 am appt which was confirmed at 8;30 am for dental x-ray. A few minutes …

They were very professional, nice and accommodating when I called tonight 30min before they closed & let me bring my little bird in who just passed away. I called 3 other hospitals that were unprofessional when answering the phone and couldn't even answer my questions. One of these hospitals I have actually taken 2 of my pets to after recently moving here from Florida. & they couldn't help me AND wanted to charge me over $200 to cremate my parakeet. Wow. I think I will definitely be back with my other pets. Thank you for being so nice and accommodating.

Clean and friendly clinic. All staff were friendly. Waiting rooms provide a relaxing environment for nervous pets and pet parents. Doctors and assistants were knowledgeable and took my concerns seriously and helped me with understanding and solutions. Went for a yearly check up for my guinea pigs and was surprised how calm and happy they were around the vet and assistants since they are usually both very nervous. I felt the staff genuinely cared about my pets and this made me very happy.

The staff at Oceanside are extremely sweet, kind and caring. I think the prerequisite for a job there is a super cheery disposition. Very qualified and knowledgeable. I have known Dr. Blake in many settings over the years. Caring for our bunny, then our cats and now our dog too, she is the best. I don't trust anyone else. I am now meeting the other Veterinarians Dr. Kane and Dr. O'Donnell and they are equally as awesome! I highly recommend this practice.

My pet ferret of seven years, whom I adored, recently had a stroke and had to be put down. Dr Blake and her staff were so kind and professional throughout the ordeal. Her exam was thorough, she presented a differential, gave me options and advice. I felt taken care of.

I can’t say enough about Oceanside. My two Scottie’s are very comfortable when they need to be seen. The staff gives you all the time you need. It is obvious they listen to your concerns. What I appreciate the most about Oceanside is Dr. Blake is up on all the latest vaccine protocols. Dr. Blake is always thinking about what is the best course of treatment for the safety of my Scottie’s. Only the best will do for Teddy and Lucy. Thank you Oceanside!
