I booked an annual checkup 4 months ago. They moved my appointment 3 times and then with 24 hours notice they called me to tell me they booked my appointment wrong and they had to cancel. They told me there were no vaccination records, although my cat has been a patient for 5.5 years. “It wouldn’t be fair to my cat” the assistant said, but blaming your receptionist, canceling on him, then offering me an appointment a month away is? She was extremely rude and dismissive when the call ended. Pretty sure this is the same assistant / supervisor who acts like the Dr. and tried telling me false answers to a medication question. Our primary veterinarian is awesome, the receptionist is awesome. But tell the supervisor blaming her staff and acting like she has a doctorate is not in her job description. I have no choice but to take our care to another local veterinarian. I understand this individual may not care they lost a patient, but if you guys keep it up there will be more.

As a grieving pet owner and my cat being patient , i am totally disgusted with VCA of Quincy for their lack of compassion at such a difficult time! My Bengal cat Porsche is 15.5 years old and suddenly stopped eating last Monday, I waited until Wednesday and called VCA and was told to take her to the sister property in Weymouth or to vet urgent care. I closed the latter $670 later was told her labs were all within normal range and her kidney function was fine ( i was told by VCA in June of 2020 that Porsche had stage II renal failure) so this made no sense to me. I called VCA on Thursday and asked if I could have the urgent care send them the notes from weds evening and was giving an email to forward them, which I did on Friday, I called on Friday to confirm VCA received them and asked if Porsche doctor could call me to help in my decision for next steps. Porsche at this point hasn’t eaten for 5 days, I was told that her doctor was not in but Amanda reception would see if another doctor could call me. After waiting a few more hours I called again to ask if there was a nurse or anyone I could speak with and was told to take Porsche to ER once again, I explained I simply just needed to speak with someone that could guide me in the proper direction. No one ever reached out to me , today is Sunday and I am having Porsche Euthanized . I am beside myself being that the VCA was Porsche vet since I purchased her at 5 months old and their lack of compassion and or concern is pretty unprofessional. I am very connected in the Quincy community and will not give a recommendation for the VCA

We were just turned away from our scheduled appointment without any prior notice and no apology from the staff. We showed up at 7:45am for our dog’s CT scan, the results of which would determine how advanced her cancer was and whether surgery would be possible two business days later. It took VCA 3 weeks to schedule this appointment to begin with, after passing us between three doctors prior to this (a separate consultation fee was required each time). We received a confirmation text, and called to validate the night before. At the door we were simply told that the doctor was not in today, and that there was no timeline on her return. We were informed that no date could be given for another appointment until this doctor returned. We are now sitting here, in the dark with what’s really going on with our dog. Unclear on whether we can proceed with surgery or if it’s even possible to proceed. Worst of all, the staff were nonchalant and rude when challenged why they couldn’t provide prior notification. No apology was offered. It’s a common theme at this place.

As a new customer, I love this place already. 1. Dr. Punton is awesome! He listens carefully, treated my cat gently, gave me great advices. He is also very flexible in terms of my cat’s treatment plan and willing to adjust based on my special needs. He did not try to over-treat my cat or over-sell unnecessary vaccines, which gained my trust instantly. 2. The manager here is super kind and warmhearted. I found this place online after my cat got mistreated at another vet’s. And she listened to my complaints and showed great sympathy to my cat. And she managed to squeeze me into their busy schedule on a Saturday. 3. The receptionist and the nurse are welcoming and nice. They are knowledgeable about the work, and efficient in communications. 4. The price is not bad. Medications and vaccines are all at affordable prices. 5. VCA’s mobile phone app/online system works well. I guess that’s a perk coming with the large VCA network. 6. There’s a free welcome package to new customers that includes one dose of tick/flee medication, a small bag of food and some toys for my cat. This is a plus on top of the super positive experience with the crew.

Dr Walker has been taking excellent care of our bulldog Spanky since he was 8 wks old & now he's 4 & in great health because if the VCA's care...he actually likes to go to the vet!!

The doctors and staff are so nice. It's just like the relaxed atmosphere you'd find at a small-town vet. And the affiliation with VCA Weymouth is extremely convenient in the event your pet needs more specialized care (e.g. an operation)

Love our animal hospital! Their new COVID precautions are great. They are asking people to stay in their car while our pets have their appointment. They're keeping everything simple, fast, and easy. Highly recommend. Although keep in mind that you need to make your appointment well in advance (maybe months!).

Place is poorly managed. Staff turnover contributes to the poor management. VCA cares about the bottom line and NOT good customer service. Better to go to an independent VET, they care about quality care, affordable pricing and maintaining excellent customer service.

Great veterinarian, first visit no wait for appointment, very professional, reasonable prices. I recommend insurance if you have a puppy well worth it. It's also a hospital 24/7. Highly recommended.

My dog has had 2 knee surgeries....I felt he was well taken care of, vet was very nice, open and honest. Facility is clean and front desk staff nice, but sometimes confused with billing. Very, very expensive, I recommend researching options, costs vary hospital to hospital and vet to vet. Check out of state as well. If you are willing to go that far.
