I used to love this place, but now Idk. Three years ago or so, my vet moved away and never reached out to tell me,nor did the hospital. In my dogs final months, she had a whole new vet and I felt so angry at not getting ANYTHING from the hospital about it until I suddenly couldn't schedule her on the app anymore, and had to ask about her during my next visit. I've never really felt like I had the same relationship after that with the staff. They are nice and I do feel that they do an excellent job with my current dogs health, but this has always sat in the back of my mind. I don't see the same vet anymore either unless I want to wait a full month or more.

I was told after just being there that the follow up appointment would be free. They lied and charged me $56.00. My rescue shih tzu needed grooming after waiting for an appt and then them canceling one, my dog now is very knotted. They showed so sense of urgency. And acted like they could care less. It is now going on 3 months and now they tell me December. They told me they have no staff. Not professional. Looking for another place after this grooming. Sad and upset!!

My husband brought our cat here. Unfortunately we had to put her down. We paid to get her cremated and of as yet, we still don't have her. He was told 10 days and it's been over a month. They made sure the billed us. I haven't called because now I don't trust them and fear that the remains we receive will not be my cat.

These people do NOT care about animals, what they DO care about is money! They wanted to rip out all my tiny dog's teeth, I got a second opinion and they helped my little pooch, he didn't need one extraction. They won't do ANYTHING unless they figure out a way to overcharge you, and I cannot tell you how bad a place this is. i expect they won't be here much longer, they get a lot of bad reviews....I'm not the only one. They can take any visit and triple what any other vet would charge, and they're vets are not good as noted above. BEWARE....money hungry, not animal loving - it's a big business that's all!!!!

They don't see things through. Our cat need dental work that turned into surgery. We were told that if any complications occurred, to call at once. A few days later, we called and were told they did not have an opening for several days and to keep trying every day or go to the emergency room. Receptionist was not helpful and poor customer service was apparent. Tried to get an appointment to more times for ongoing problems. A challenge every time. We were eventually able to get appointments. The doctors are very nice. They treated our cat twice and said if that didn't work he would need surgery. When we called to schedule the next steps, we requested to discuss with the doctor. No return phone call. Had to call and explain again the problem and we were told that they could not treat him and we had to see a specialist. That's after 2,000 dollars. Why not do the right thing and tell us that from the beginning? Our cat has been coming here for his entire life. Will not go here again. It's a shame because once you get in there, the doctors are really nice. Customer service trying would be extremely helpful.

We'd been going to the VCA in Plymouth for about 4 years. We've trusted the vets and techs so much and felt that our Furbabies were always safe and in good hands. We've had exams, surgeries, emergency visits and even had to say "goodbye" to our Bichon. As painful as it is to have to say, "goodbye" to a pet, we had the most peaceful goodbye when we had to let our little bichon go... A few months ago we had a very bad experience to the point that we have left VCA in Plymouth. We felt the care was not the same and it caused our Dog to suffer. I hope and Pray things have changed and the TRUST, LOVE AND CARE that once was there, is back.

Horrific experience. Avoid this vet. Went there a few months ago and they didn’t provide the treatment my dog needed but charged me $200+. Also had a friend who notified us that his dog needed a vaccine and he pulled into the driveway and the vet came outside and just gave the dog a shot in the car. Extremely unprofessional.

Take your pet here at your own risk! They fail to provide the basic standard of care! Due to their negligence crucial time was lost in diagnosing my dog which could have preserved her quality of life instead I lost out on thousands of dollars and it could cost me lost years with her!

I took my dogs to the Plymouth vca after transferring from a vet in Weymouth. The commute is well worth it with the care and atmosphere vca plymouth provides. The techs were very sweet and patient while bring my pups (11mo and 6mo) in. I rescued my youngest dog during covid so she hasn't been able to socialize easily within restrictions or have a very great vet experience since we've never been able to go into a facility with her. The vet and techs took their time to make my dogs comfortable with their office during the exam and they left happy and noticeably more at ease/ easier settling back down in the car than they ever left their last vet. Definitely happy we chose this facility for our furbabies!

Very professional, it's a little pricey but the staff does not push for things your pet doesn't need.

We love the Plymouth VCA! We take our puppy Lady for routine grooming appointments. She comes back to us smelling LOVELY, so fresh and clean. And, happy! She loves the staff, and we do too! Everyone we’ve spoken to is very friendly and helpful. We’ve also taken Lady here for her annual check-up and vaccines and the Dr. couldn’t have been nicer. I’d highly recommend the Plymouth VCA!

I've brought my husky here numerous times and never once had an issue. The staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. They call the next day and ask how your pet is doing. However, I recently brought my cat here. She has stage 3 periodontal disease. The vet explained she needed surgery and I agreed, VCA has always done me right so I trusted their opinions. I schedule the surgery and my estimate was $1300. I recently left my job but had enough saved for this surgery. I bring my cat for her blood work and the staff on the phone said it would cost $167 for blood work. I agreed, not a super bad price. Time to checkout and the total was just about $400. I was very confused but paid anyway figuring they had made a mistake in the pricing on the phone or maybe I misheard. One week before surgery I get an email on the expected price of surgery, $1800-$2200. My original estimate was $1300. I don't understand how it could bump up so drastically. I didn't save that much money for surgery they said was $1300. What could they have left out in the surgery that was worth $500-$900 more. That's a significant amount to have not included in the original estimate. Long story short, I canceled surgery and found a vet who does it for $600. Ridiculously overpriced.
