Called with an emergency (am staying in town and can’t get to my normal vet). Told them my dog cannot walk at all and it was an emergency. Their response was “you’ll have to look elsewhere as we don’t take new clients, even for an emergency”.

My family and I have been going to Chase for years. All of the staff is wonderful and friendly. They always want to help and never made me feel like I was a bother even when so swamped them with questions when I got a new puppy! Will always take my pets here, thank you chase!!! ❤️

Impossible to make appointment. They don’t answer the phone. Provide text number which didn’t work and when I registered for appointment via website, no one called or emailed me. Been coming here for years, not sure what going one but service is lacking and prices are too high. Time to find another veterinarian

In the past this has been our family vet of choice and received amazing care. Sadly, over the past 5 years quality of service and care have significantly decreased. This company has gone through a turn over of amazing staff and those presently working have been cold, rude, and uncaring towards myself, my partner, and our pets. I have been provided misinformation on the care of exotic pets when they were being seen here, thankfully this misinformation was corrected by our new vet at a different location. When we had to put down our lovebug kitty of 17 years last year, they rushed us in our mourning, did not demonstrate the care and respect grieving kitty parents need (especially for a family member of 17 yrs!), were rude and hasty to get us in and out, and were very unreasonable with financial understanding (it was right when COVID began and we unexpectedly became unemployed). Immediately after the passing of my furbaby, I moved my other animals to another vet 20 minutes away who is caring, warm, and available via phone for any concerns or questions we may have. Our new vet (who our newest kitty is now registered with) has only ever shown empathy and caring and that is exactly what a vet should offer! Today, my partner had his cat in for a basic nail clipping and this is the last visit she will ever have here. There is absolutely no excuse for the horrible lack of communication regarding pick up and updates. We spent THREE HOURS attempting to get in contact with the vet and were met with being placed on immediate hold then the phone disconnecting after a few minutes. When I finally got a live person to answer, they were rude and responded that they were very busy and we should have just texted and essentially did not care that I had to make arrangements with work to pick her up now due to my partner having to go to work. I finally set up a pick up time and was told to text at arrival, it took 55 minutes after arrival for them to bring our cat out. And this was after several more call attempts to inform them of our arrival for pick up. I will NEVER recommend this organization if you love your pets and want the care they deserve.

3 years ago around this time me and my sister faced one of the most scary moments in our life, our Cat Tadashi got really sick due to a urinary blockage and we were devastated when the first vet we took him to (Capeway in fairhaven) told us he was going to die and it was our fault because we didn't have 1000 dollars up front. But when we decided to take him to Chase farm they welcomed us and Tadashi like we were family and thanks to the amazing doctors and staff there our baby is now four years old and as healthy as can be! I will always be grateful for everything they did and can't thank them enough for all the support and understanding they showed us, thank you everyone at chase farm for giving our baby a second chance and not giving up on us ????

I love Dr. Pitcairn and the team at Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital. They are amazing. Always helpful and responsive to our pet needs. They have been taking care of my cat for the past 15 years and I cannot say enough great things about them. Highly recommended!

Took my cat here for a second opinion as his original vet saying he needed a dental cleaning. I didn’t want to put him under without a second opinion. The doctor looked at his teeth and agreed yes he has a lot of build up that needs to be removed. She was able to break away the tartar right then. She said if he had gingival issues she would recommend a dental but because it was just the tartar build up she removed then and sent us on our way.

I was doing business with them for 20 yrs. Now I bring my cat in and they do nothing. Because of other clients, there is no more payment plans. Well because of others my cat is suffering. Again I did business with them for 20 yrs. There is no compassion with Chase Hospital. I would never recommend them to anyone And there prices are outrages. They charge just as much as a Human Doctor or St Luke's Hospital. Never will I go there again. They have killed my pet with they're ignorance. (At 7:30 pm on January 29, 2020 my baby boy Ivory died. Bad, bad vet, couldn't help him....

This hospital saved my dog! The doctors and staff saw her for an emergency - as a brand new patient - and took the best care of her and my family! They were patient with us and even made sure my children felt like they were comfortable and could ask questions! Our little Precious would not be alive today without the care and compassion of this place - they have even called to check up on her, since she has been home! Our human doctors offices could sure take a page or two out of their book! Grateful is an understatement.

Saw Chase Farm for my cat. Staff is very responsive and professional. They take good care of the animals they see and all of my family members use them for their veterinary care. I have used other vets in the area and they just don't compare.

AWFUL! Don’t fall for the first time you call the sweetness that they portray. Animal care- they do NOT care. AT ALL. Also, There is a way to speak to people and then there is a way to not speak to people. I have never written a review about anywhere not a restaurant, not anywhere in my life. This goes to show you just how awful this vet is. WE ALL KNOW OUR PETS ARE PART OF OUR FAMILY- WE LOVE THEM- IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET- stay clear of Chase Farm Vet/Chase Vet whatever name they want to run under. My husband and I can’t warn you enough. Horrific.

Never returns phone calls, pricey, bills for shots they never gave, and, although the vet was great, never had any flexibility or availability. The worst. Switched after two visits.

What would I do without Chase Farm Veterinary Hospital? They have treated my cats and my dogs with the utmost of care, compassion, knowledge, and expertise. Everyone is friendly and they care about their fur clients! It is a great feeling to walk through their doors and know your pets are in the best of hands possible.

Pleasant and professional staff on premises! Would reccomend to anyone looking for quality pet care. Glad to have them looking out for my furry babies. I've seen many reviews complaining about prices. As a low income single mother, I can tell you they explain everything at length & offer different options considering all financial abilities or disabilities. I was never blindsided the way some of the complaining reviews would have you believe. My family loves Chase Farm!

I've been here a few times with good experiences, the last time was no different until I was ready to pay. Within a few months the price jumped over 40% without any warning. I was there in October for a litter of 10 puppies and paid just under$500 for everything. Went back in June just 8 months later with the same amount of puppies, same shots. Without warning the price went up to $740. I think a return customer should be told about such an increase before hand. I was not happy and will not return with my next litter of puppies. They got their extra money but lost a customer.

Extremely upset with this place. I just came home from my cat's 3 year checkup. All she got was 1 rabies shot. 3 years ago I paid $40 plus of course the $4 fee to throw away the needle (which should be built into their operating costs). This year just 3 years later the shot more than doubled to a whopping $86 and now $8 to get rid of the needle. OUTRAGEOUS. how is it the rabies clinics they have yearly in Fairhaven Acushnet and New Bedford the shots are $10 and $15 depending if the animals are spade or neutered and this place charges $86 for a rabies shot. People shop around this isn't the only vet in town. After reading other reviews I noticed they only respond to the 5 star reviews!!! Nice.

After receiving poor treatment at our former veterinarian’s office, my fiancé and I were desperate to find an animal hospital that would provide a higher standard of care for our seven year old Pomeranian, Max, who suffers from a collapsing trachea. In December 2017, after numerous referrals, we booked an appointment with Dr. Alexandre at Chase Farm. Since then, we have taken Max three times.. one emergency appointment seeing Dr. Bartkus after the hospital was already closed. Each time we have visited Chase Farm, Max has been treated as if he's the ONLY patient of the day. We are completely blown away with the quality of care Max is now receiving. In short, Dr. Alexandre, Dr. Bartkus and the staff at Chase Farm have overwhelmingly exceeded our expectations and we are so thankful to have found such an amazing animal care group. Words alone cannot describe how happy we are to have found Chase Farm. Please, give them a try; you’ll be glad you did!

This place only cares about making money off of your injured animals—they do not care about the welfare of your pet and I’ll tell you my experience of why I believe this to be the case. My dog was run over by a hit and run drunk driver and thankfully the worst of it was she only had a broken leg and some lacerations. This occurred around midnight so I took her to an emergency vet to get fixed. When she was discharged, the paperwork said to take xrays at 6 weeks. Every week we had to get her split rebandaged so we chose Chase vet as the vet to do this. The emergency vet wasn’t sure if the splint would fully heal my dog and told us the possibility she might need surgery. Despite the paperwork saying she needed xrays at 6 weeks, when we went in for the second bandage change they took xrays at 3 weeks in order to charge us for it. Then they prescribed pain medication which I paid for seeing as they recommended it. Here’s the kicker: The vet said they spoke to the surgeon about surgery and said it was likely, based off of the xrays, she would need surgery. Yet, when I called the surgeon, he said they never spoke to chase vet about the xrays and that he was too busy to look yet. They lied to us about speaking to the surgeon. I can’t reiterate this enough: A vet told us they spoke to the surgeon when they did not. I can’t wrap my head around why they would lie about that. On top of this, the surgeon said my dog didn’t need surgery and definitely didn’t need the pain medication. I write this review as a fellow animal lover and I implore you to seek elsewhere for your animal’s wellbeing because this place only cares about one thing: $$$$

any less than stellar review Chase Farms has received, I have to assume is the result of said reviewers having an off day. Dr Rickard is a blessing to anything on 4 legs with fur. her genuine compassion is a breath of fresh air after some of the awful bedside manner of some veterinarians I've seen. & Moosie likes her, & that's what counts. all the Doctors & staff that I've had the pleasure of experiencing at Chase Farms are a cut above. would, & do, recommend them to everyone.

Great professional staff & great doctors! Went to Mass-RI Veterinary ER in Swansea and they did nothing for my dog except give us pain meds which wasn’t needed and misdiagnosed her. Came the next day here to chase farms which is my dogs regular veterinarian and they did a thorough examination and found the problem and my dog was put on antibiotics and is back to normal. You guys are awesome! Thank you...

If I ever get another animal I will not take it to this vet. My dog went here for about 4 years. I trusted them. After my dog died. Not even a phone call not anything at all. They were wrong with the diagnosis and not even a care. I spent a lot of money on his care thinking it was something else. Now he's gone.

I have been with Chase Farm for going on three years. Every time I take my fur baby in, we are treated with kindness and respect. The doctors are very understanding when it comes to the bill too. Their main objective is to get your baby well without breaking the bank. I love Chase Farm.
