Perfect Paws Newton, Massachusetts

Reached out about a week ago asking about playgroup services for our golden. We didn’t hear back after almost a week later (no out of office or bounce back message) so we sent a polite follow-up message just in case the email was lost over the weekend. The picture here was the response…never have I received such a rude and unprofessional response for simply trying to give my business to someone. Glad I did not end up trusting perfect paws with my dog after this. Clearly if you can’t handle emails and scheduling without this reaction, it says a lot about your temper and worries me about how the dogs are cared for in your presence.

Perfect Paws is wonderful! The staff is loving and caring towards the dogs (and us!). Our 2 Wheaten Terriers have gone to daily daycare and they come home happy, socialized and exhausted. We have used the boarding and training services for over a year now with huge success. They have real knowledge on dog behaviors and temperament. We trust the staff with our fur babies. We recommend Janie Hagopian and her team as a business that is both professional and loving.

We love perfect Paws! I reached out to Janie about over a month ago about training our 1 year old golden retriever Bow. He needed obedience training and had issues jumping and pulling on the leash. I am so happy we found her. She has been working with bow for the month of February and I have seen such a change in my dog. He loves to go to doggy daycare and train and play. He come home exhausted after playing with his friends. He is doing so much better listening, staying, and sitting. He no longer jumps on me when I bring him on walks. The icing on the cake is that Janie offers a pick up/ drop off service for day care. We are more than pleased and so grateful we found this place! Highly recommend!

We love Perfect Paws! We had our first private training session last week and had a great experience. Janie was patient and friendly with our 4 month old puppy. We had the option of training in her large fenced area, where our pup felt safe & had the best time playing/learning. We can already see a difference from doing 2 days of training "homework" with our pup :) Can't wait to continue our lessons! Thanks Janie!

Five Stars! We booked the three one hour sessions package with Janie and could not be happier!! Not only she’s a dogs’ whisperer, really understands dogs and can effectively teach you all the pro training techniques, she’s also a “family whisperer!” She was amazing with our entire family! She was able to quickly grasp everyone’s personality and effectively adapt to give each person (we’re four) the tools and confidence they needed so we could collectively and collaboratively train our dog when at home. Her dog training skills and people’s skills are superb. We’re all so thankful we found Janie and Perfect Paws. Highly recommend!

Perfect Paws is THE BEST! Janie is an amazing, calm spoken and diligent trainer. She runs a doggy day care and small boarding out of her home. She has a huge fenced in yard where the training commences and brings dogs out with certain temperaments to properly socialize my 8 week old Havanese puppy. I signed up for the 5 hour sessions, which I know is going to be well worth it. Finnigan and I have seen Janie twice now and with consistent training at home using the pointers, advice she has provided, life inside my apartment has been super for my pup and I. We walked around her neighborhood leash walking/training. Janie has so many ideas and with such a great calm and warm personality, she doesn't make you or your dog feel silly if you don't get it right the first time. I would highly recommend Janie and her team from Perfect Paws, it is well worth the investment, especially since I ask so many questions about swimming, play time etc. I know I am going to use other services of hers in the future outside of training. 5 stars for Perfect Paws!

We brought our 6month old pup Rosie to Perfect Paws in Dedham for daycare with Janie. Rosie warmed up to Janie almost immediately and loves to spend time running around and playing with the other pups. Thanks Janie!

Janie from Perfect Paws is AWESOME! We took our golden retriever pup to Janie initially just for training but have also started bringing our pup for daycare as well. We have made a ton of progress in training our dog and overcoming some bad habits (biting, aggression, etc.) thanks to Janie’s work with him and the tricks and tools she has given us. She is super hands on and is always very professional and responsive.

I am a new client of Perfect Paws. I signed up for private training with Katie for my two dogs and, after only 4 private training sessions with Katie, I am seeing considerable improvement with my dogs. My dogs biggest issues were with greeting other dogs and loose leash walking. They have dramatically improved in these areas and also with sit & stay. Katie is wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend dog training with her!
