I brought my pup, Ralph in for work up for a possible foreign body as my clinic was closed on a Sunday. The receptionist was super friendly and did a great job going over what to expect for my trip and set realistic expectations for wait …

Had to take our cat there on an emergency basis. Were really impressed with the way they handled intake as well as how great they were with our cat, who is a sweetheart until he isn't. But they were patient and gentle and he was so less stressed than usual after a visit like that. It's a great place to take your pets.

Dr Finn and her team were fantastic. She took the time to explain what was going on with my beloved dog, what to expect in the coming days and what the follow up should be. The intake person on the phone was so patient in explaining what I needed to do to get my dog his triage appointment - I was beside myself so needed the help (and patience). As his symptoms became more pronounced en route, I called back and they took him in as soon as we got there. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to bring my beloved boy here again, and would highly recommend them to anyone who asks.

They were very empathetic to our situation and treated my dog very respectfully. They were very ethical in delivering the bad diagnosis for my dog and even humane in the euthanasia treatment.

Staff is amazing. They listen carefully, treat you as an adult, and are super helpful. I'll expand a tad later...

I would like to thank Drs. Hughs-Wachtel, Yip & Maffezzoli for their fine handling & care of my 11 month old pup Millie, a Boxer/Hound mix who was bleeding profusely, litterally on deaths door after presumably eating something poisonous that attacked her liver and effecting her bloods ability to coagulate. If it hadn't been for their ability to take her in on a moments notice and immediately start diagnosing and treating her, I'm certain she wouldn't have survived. I'm happy to report now, a week later that she has almost fully recovered and is back to being herself. I also want to send a very special Thanks to Katelyn (one of the handlers/care-givers at Boston-West) She was like Millie's best friend and comforter.

Really nice staff. My cat fractured his leg, and these guys were able to x-ray it and get him an immediate surgery appointment at another hospital. Would highly recommend!

Our experience with a 17 years old cat was not too good.

Not a very good experience. Looks like unnecessary tests with no outcome but money for them is their specialty. I mean two doctors couldn’t figure out what’s going with my pet. Kept him overnight and then referred to hospital in Woburn for internal medicine doctor when the doctor was not available on that day. Woburn hospital also kept him for a day without any conclusive result. I would avoid this hospital in future.

My dog's limping was magically cured just by being in the parking lot outside, so I guess they're pretty good. I mean maybe he just wanted attention and a car ride, but for now I'm sticking with the hypothesis that healing radiates from the building in a characterizable diffusion gradient, restoring animals to perfect health by its mere presence.

Excellent and compassionate care in emergency situations. They were so thorough and thoughtful in their care of my 10 week old puppy, who collapsed out of the blue. I honestly hope to never have to go here again but in an emergency I will definitely choose Boston West Veterinary.

Although I wasn't able to enter the facility, I'm grateful to find help for my sick dog close to home.

Boston West saved our dogs life. She was having a life threatening emergency. We rushed her there, they took her in, and immediately preformed life saving procedures. The team that cared for her was amazing.

Very nice ER. I’m from out of town and our in-town vet recommended it. Got our dog in fast and taken care of.

I love this place. They are always very friendly, thorough and communicative. I have never had a bad experience here personally. You do pay for the convenience of a 24 hour get but even that is not to bad.

They saved my dog. Doctors are very good at keeping you updated on your pets condition. Also very good at keeping you updated on how much treatment costs, and giving different options.

My dog spent the morning here due to ingestion of a corn cob. They neglected to tell me that they had no one in internal medicine on staff this week, even though this is an internal medicine issue, and no one to read an ultrasound. (Contrast with Angell West who for a different issue told me they didn't have a neurologist and therefore should start elsewhere so as not to duplicate expense.) Six hundred dollars later we now have to start all over somewhere else, and because it's late in the day my dog may have to be admitted overnight to get an ultrasound done somewhere else. *In response to the director response below I will add that the next facility's radiologist thought that the ultrasound was ill-advised and that it is not a good tool for imaging stomach contents and said that we should not do it, and so we didn't. (Thank you for asking about dog, she is fine at home today.)

I am grateful for the care Satchel Page received on the day of his death.

My dog needed surgery to repair a torn ligament and damaged meniscus in his hind leg. The surgery team was very responsive and took good care of him. He is now fully recovered and running again. He was limping and carrying his leg 100% before surgery. Now he hardly ever carries the leg and he's jumping and running like before the injury. The only draw back is there prices. I paid close to 4k for this operation. After reviewing similar procedures some of which were on larger dogs I found that this hospital is among the highest priced. I am happy with the outcome and care. However If I had to do it again I would go to Sturbridge veterinary surgical center. They offer the same quality at much lower rates. I over paid by about $1500.00 If money is of no consequence this place is great and can be trusted especially in emergencies. If you have time to look around and need a non life threatening surgery I would check out Sturbridge.
