We’ve been taking our cat Pepperjack to MAC since we go him. They are always helpful, kind & listen to concerns. The staff is friendly & more than happy to explain things further as needed. Our cat is never stressed going here. We are very happy with Melrose Animal Clinic & love the service & staff ????

I have been going there for many years. They all loved my late dog Max and adore my puppy, Zula and my two cats, Daphne and Peanut. I cannot say enough good things about their care for my babies.

They have been nothing but amazing to me and my pets throughout the years. The routine visits are always quick and the doctors, techs, and receptionist are helpful and friendly. I called about my cat seemingly in pain, and the emergency vets wouldn’t take him without a referral because he wasn’t “critical”. MAC saw him same day and took a look at his mouth. I think we all were expecting him to have a dental issue. But the doctor suspected a fractured jaw and told us to call the e-vet again and tell them our normal vet says he needs to be seen today. After x-rays at the ER it was confirmed he’ll need surgery for a fractured jaw. Even with how slammed their clinic was today, they took Shadow in, assessed him quickly and treated me kindly because I was worried about my kitty. Always a great experience even when I’m dealing with a hurt pet. Thank you guys as always!!

Long story short, my 2 years old dog just passed away of kidney failure. And we only found out at the emergency hospital with not much to do. Mind you, she was always at the vet with a concern. They will always say “shes doing fine, but she is underweight”. Well I believed them. But she was giving sings of it like(vomiting, loss of appetite…)all along and they couldn’t diagnose her. Plus, they don’t really care about your pet as much as you think. At least that’s what I experienced. I called with concerns at times and they will never make an effort to book an appointment and see (honey). One of the last times I called them a guy picked up and I was of course concerned about honey vomiting again and all, telling him she should be seen. And he says “she’s just vomiting, we don’t have time, I will put you on the waiting list”. Mind you, he wasn’t letting me finish, honey wasn’t just vomiting. I will say the last time I called, a women picked up and she was very kind and referred me to the emergency hospital. After all, they failed to diagnose honey for two whole years. Yes, according to the emergency hospital’s doctor, she always had it. I don’t recommend going here.

I have changed vets as of today after almost 20 years. I’ve had it with arrogance and lack of caring by some staff. I feel better already!????

I've been taking my pup to the Melrose Animal Clinic for almost two years. Our first visits (prior to covid) the team went above and beyond any expectations I had set for a vet's office, and I have since gone out of my way to tell people to bring their dogs there. My dog is a nervous nelly and he has not loved having to go into the vet on his own this past year, BUT that is not a fault to the clinic at all. I trust them to take care of him and provide the best care without me hovering in the room with them. I am saddened by the recent negative reviews. Do not let them hinder your decision on whether or not to bring your pet to this vet. Covid has been a difficult time for all and I trust that once we are finally able to achieve normalcy again, the Melrose Animal Clinic team will still be the most loving and caring vet for your fur baby.

A place where you expect to receive care after coming there for years with your pet. My dog has seen them for years, but recently they have never had availability and people do not work with you to try to schedule something in advance. I’ve had to go to the hospital and be seen and wait hours. Looking for a new vet now that will care to get you in when you’re having an issue.

This vet repeatedly bill me for treatments that I specifically asked them not to provide to my animals without talking to me first. When I complained, they told me to find a new vet.

Exceptional, kind, caring doctors and staff. We have been bringing our 3 cats here for 5 years. They have always been thorough & thoughtful in diagnosing & providing treatment for our pets, especially when we adopted a cat with diabetes. Our family greatly appreciates their team's dedication to still provide excellent care for our pets during COVID, we were thankful for their adaptability to switch to curbside appointments to keep their staff safe. We wholeheartedly recommend Melrose Animal Clinic!

Really pleased with Melrose Animal Clinic. I have a small cat and I always feel like she's safe and happy with the staff! Everyone there is really kind and professional. The facility is super clean. They handled the Covid-19 guidelines really well, too.

I have been taking our dog to MAC for the past 4 years (every since she was a puppy), and could not be more pleased. Everyone, from the admins, to the receptionists, to the vet techs, to the vets themselves are simply amazing. Professional, kind, courteous, compassionate, thorough, I could go on and on. It's evident everyone truly cares about every animal that comes in the doors. I've been so impressed with their protocols since COVID-19 happened....they haven't missed a beat. Thank you MAC for everything!

The melrose animal clinic is a great vet! We had some bad experiences prior to finding them, and this was the best place we've been to. They really take their time with your pet and give you plenty of time for questions and to go over your concerns, unlike other vets. They really care about the pets that go there and personally, I love that they listen to my every question about my dog's procedures, medications, etc. Staff is always doing everything they can to help as well, they are all so kind. We couldn't be happier!

I have taken my pets to Melrose Animal Clinic for many years and there has not been one time that I was not satisfied with their services. Their dedication and love for our loved pets is outstanding. The doctors and the staff are like a family. Their dedication and devotion for the well being of all pets is very commendable. My dog Rowen ‘s doctor, Dr. Bonacorse is a very special person. You can see how much she loves these animals. . You can see the dedication and love she has for each pet. I will never forget the day I had to put my beloved dog Raja to sleep. She supported me with kindness and compassion. I trust and recommend the Melrose Animal Clinic very highly. If you love your pet and want the best care for your loved one, this is the place to go.

I cannot put into words the caring, kindness and professionalism of the Melrose Animal Clinic. Unfortunately, I recently had to make the agonizing decision to put my 20 year old cat down; I was hysterical. They were soooo kind and empathetic as I was struggling with my decision. The doctor following up with kind words that she was at peace and I had made the right decision...They gave me a plaque with her polydactyl foot imprints, something I will treasure forever! Then they sent a sympathy card. Not one stamped with the facility name...no, Dr Bonacoursi and staff had each written a personalized note about my sweet girl as well as their condolences. This facility is an A+++. A place I would recommend taking any of your furry family members to. Thank you for your kindness during a terrible time Melrose Animal Clinic.

I took my cat here for the 1st time and she is doing better already. The staff was very helpful and took care of her immediately. I especially liked that I didn't end up with any over inflated bill and the staff was honest and let me know the cost upfront. We will definitely be back! Lisa R.

The employees of Melrose Animal Clinic never disappoints. They are taking every precaution to ensure their safety and the safety of their clients. The process of bringing a furry family member in for an appointment is safe and efficient. Mitsy was seen by Dr Bonacorsi and Angela. All of the services were performed and Gerald helped with the check out process including my insurance claim. I cannot say enough good things about this team of dedicated people. I love the Melrose Animal Clinic ❤️❤️????

Everyone I have ever dealt with there has been wonderful. Very responsive even at the busiest time. Even though services can seem expensive, the staff was great about working within my budget without judgement. I highly recommend Melrose Animal Clinic.

This clinic is way over priced from others we have used, but the real reason for this bad review is that they lack the ability to follow up with patients owners. Recently we spent $700 on multiple visits, tests, and drops for our dogs ear infection at this clinic. Not once did the vet check in to see how things were progressing between treatments. We were already besides ourselves because our dog was in pain over multiple months and there was nothing we could do, the staff at this clinic told us to wait it out when we called, and never reached out/followed up with us (not once over 3 months). This alone is huge for us, we won’t be returning based on this experience alone.

I have 6 cats & 2 fosters. I have been going to the Melrose Animal Clinic for about 5 years. I would never go anywhere else. The staff is very friendly, prices are reasonable, the facility is immaculate. Me & my cats love Dr. Shah!!!

Check your invoice. I did not ask for a nail trim for my cat and they charged me $26. I trimmed my cats front nails myself before I went to the appointment After I reviewed the invoice I checked my cats back nails. They are as sharp as ever. I did however call and complain. They said they will refund, but I have yet to see it. Other than that they are a great place to take your pet but a bit pricey.

Terrible experience. Poor communication between the doctors and front desk staff. Front desk staff is rude. I've been bringing my two dogs here for about 5 years. It seemed like a great place at first but the last few times have been …

I’ve been going to melrose animal clinic for years. My elderly dog had to be put down recently. Dr shah and staff were very compassionate, and gave us lot of time before and after for us to process and stay with our big guy after he passed. They even washed his helpMeUp harness for me to pick up later so could donate it. Thank you Dr shah and her team.

Been taking my dog there for almost a year. Everyone on staff is so friendly and has handled the pandemic like champions keeping us all safe. I love it there! And so does my dog.

The vets at Melrose animal clinic are very professional and seem to take a true interest in the well-being of each pet. However, right now, I feel I can only give a rating of three stars. I have had to wait with my cat several times in the cold, rain, and/or with barking dogs around us despite being on time for my curbside appointment and checking in appropriately. I don't mind waiting, but this causes undue stress for my pet, and it isn't fair to her.

Both my wife and I as well as my sister have used the Melrose Animal clinic. We are a bit extra with our doodles and we couldn’t be happier with the level of care here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I was nervous about my mini doodle getting fixed but she was clearly treated well and she healed within 8 days without pain. Great local Vet!!

I’ve been going to Melrose Animal Clinic for 13 years with my cat, Cleo. She’s had some serious problems and they have worked with me to keep her healthy. The staff is very pleasant and accommodating. I also bring my dog, Dakota and they give her the same love and attention. Thank you Melrose Animal Clinic for all you do for us.

I'm sure there are excellent doctors at this facility, but my own experience was awful, and so my review is primarily for the doctor I saw, not the clinic as a whole. I had just moved to the area and my sphynx cat had developed a terrible skin condition the week before we moved...lesions all over his body. I had moved to Medford the day before I brought him to see Dr. Bonacorsi. on a Friday...spent an hour and a half in the clinic, and she diagnosed him with cutaneous lymphoma. She referred me to a veterinary oncologist. Before I left, she casually gave me the option to have a biopsy of his lesions sent to a lab, just to confirm what she already knew. That was verbatim, as I remember wondering how she could have made the cancer call before a biopsy test (I have proof of the diagnosis before the biopsy test confirmation). I was so upset, had already spent so much money moving and treating my cat, but I said yes to the OPTIONAL biopsy. Well, the following Monday she called me with the results of the biopsy...and turns out it WAS NOT cancer as she diagnosed the previous Friday. After taking my cat to a specialist (NOT Melrose Clinic), it turned out that he has a highly treatable autoimmune disease and is in no way terminal. I was so angry with Dr. B's unprofessionalism and unnecessarily swift diagnosis without confirmation, but I sat on this for awhile debating about whether or not to tell others about this extremely unprofessional conduct. But I since decided that it needs to be said, because this shouldn't have happened, and her treatment was unprofessional. Since there are several other doctors at this clinic, my review is in no way a commentary on the clinic as a whole, and the front desk staff and veterinary techs were extremely compassionate and kind. However, if any of you visit Dr. Bonacorsi, I'd be wary. I was dumbfounded why she didn't order a biopsy before making the diagnosis, declaring my cat had cancer before she knew 100%...turned out she was 100% wrong, and she put me and my partner (who just moved to the Boston area) through an emotionally turbulent weekend of hell (and my birthday, so thanks Dr. Bonacorsi), only to find out that my cat didn't have cancer and he actually had something that can be treated with the right meds. And so my cat is, at 10 years old, alive and thriving and free of skin lesions thanks to a different clinic and doctor. ALWAYS get a test before declaring a diagnosis.
