For a first visit, I was somewhat surprised at how cursory the evaluation was. I have had dogs before and the first visit at the vet is always very thorough and thoughtful.

We love Stoneham Animal Hospital! We’ve been taking our fur babies to see Dr. Jawitz for many years now. The staff is always helpful and professional, polite and positive which is important. It’s a great place, I highly recommend.

I have gone to Stoneham Animal Hospital for many years. Dr. Jawitz and staff always go above and beyond for me and my pets and they are helpful, friendly and courteous....they take time to care for all of my pet's needs. This is now our 3rd dog they are taking care of. Love this place....they are one of a kind! ❤️????????????????

Love Dr.Jawitz and his team! They make you feel comfortable and confident your pet is getting the care they need. Dr.J is always cheerful and great at making you and your pet relax a little. Even for my dogs who are both very nervous when at the vet. I've been to other vets who may cost less or offer insurance, but by far Stoneham Animal Hospital beats all of them hands down in quality and care! Highly recommend this animal Hospital!!

Dr. Jawitz is as good as it gets. We were crushed to learn he won't treat humans-- no chance we'll find a family physician so whipsmart, efficient, sensible, and clever. Visits are short and sweet without ever lacking thoroughness. Highly recommend.

Been bringing my dog here for years (hes now 8) the staff is very friendly and no waiting around during your appt time! They will always make time for you if you need to get an appt.

From the first phone call I made, the women that checked me in, the techs in the room helping the Dr all were wonderful.....they made my first visit there so comfortable...and the Dr's sense of humor helped a very scary visit for my injured doggie!

I’m very new to the Stoneham animal hospital I was treated kindly by the staff and doctor praying they treat my dogs kindly and attentive. I will say I went to a woburn emergency room a couple years ago and sat for hours as my dog was suffering treated horribly and when I left they said I had to get doxycycline for my dog who had lime disease they were charging me $100 for a quarter of a bottle I left and went to Stoneham animal hospital and they gave me the same medication without even really knowing me just looking at my dog that day for $10 I couldn’t believe it 90.00 cheaper.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Jawitz at Stoneham Animal Hospital for 15 years. He is great with my dogs and the staff (especially Trish) are all fantastic. I totally trust them to care for my pets.

This place only cares about making money on healthy animals, and when a poor pet is sick, they rush you out the door to another animal hospital and couldn't care less, or even attempt to provide a diagnosis for your patently obvious sick pet. STAY AWAY!

There comes a time when the community must know about a wolf in sheep's skin. This business is all about making money and less about caring for truly sick pets. They gladly have the time to accept your money for routine check-ups for otherwise healthy pets. The second you need ANY actual diagnosis, this place is incapable of the basic services. An investigation into this practice needs to be conducted.TO echo what other recent owners seem to have experienced. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE! I know I wont.

My family and I have been coming over for well over 15 years and each time we come they get better and better! The team is always amazing with our animals and they take the time to get to know our furbabies.. I wouldn’t trust another vet unless it Dr.Jawitz. Keep up the amazing work and stay safe!

If you are thinking about taking your pet to this establishment...please think twice! Our beloved cat was a patient of Dr. Jawitz for almost 14 years and the way he was treated at the end of his life is inexcusable. I don't believe Dr. Jawitz cares for the health of animals and seriously lacks compassion. We had an emergency appointment for our cat and Dr. Jawitz couldn't be bothered to have a conversation with us about his prognosis or even look at his medical records before we were rushed out the door to another hospital which only prolonged our cat's suffering and the trauma we endured before putting him to sleep. The other hospital was much more caring but our cat had to be admitted into the emergency room and was alone for hours before we were given our options and decided to end his pain. Dr. Jawitz could have saved him and us from going through that experience as I am certain he knew that his prognosis was not good. Instead he chose to send us elsewhere and prolong the inevitable. The doctors at the other hospital who had never seen our cat, let alone taken care of him for almost 14 years, showed more compassion than his actual veterinarian. Save yourselves the heartbreak and look elsewhere for your pet's care!

Dr. Mark Jawitz and the staff at the Stoneham Animal Hospital are outstanding. We are clients for at least 20 years with a number of pet cats. Our cats receive outstanding care and upon occasion, are boarded at the hospital when we are away from home for an expended period of time.

I have been to several veterinarian doctors and this doctor is by far the best. He is so wonderful with the animals and highly educated in his field. He does not try to upsell you on products or anything that your animal does not really need. He is precise and focused 100% on the animals. He is very personable and understanding and has true empathy for all the animals that come under his care. His staff is wonderful and kind. I've become very friendly with some of them over the years. Especially with Tiffany who has been there for many years, she is great at what she does and has tremendous knowledge. I will continue to bring my fur babies there for as long as he has a practice. I took my 1st dog Annie to Dr. Jawitz for 16 years until her passing. My second dog, Dixie, who is 11 years old has been in Dr. Jawitz care for 10 years when I adopted her. He knows his business and is a compassionate veterinarian. If the diagnosis is beyond his scope of expertise, I have been referred to Mass Veterinary Hospital. I have always relied on his diagnostic skills.. would recommend him to anyone.
