Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Staff was amazing and truly want these animals to be placed in the best homes with the best start.. I was amazed with all they assisted me with! A crate, gate, blankets, bed, food, toys, treats, additional Frontline, leashes even a large tub to store food in. I honestly left with items that would have cost more in total than my doggies adoption fee! Not to mention, he is an amazing boy! I highly recommend this shelter! Drive out of your way to adopt here!

My boyfriend recently adopted a kitten Amber (formerly Ficus) from this shelter and not only is she perfect the facility was clean and the staff we interacted with was amazing. They even sent us home with her little bed/tent and gave us a goodie bag. I highly recommend adopting an animal from this facility if you are looking for an animal friend. As soon as we brought home Amber she was a sweet cuddle bug. My BF couldn't have found a better kitten and companion for his other recently adopted kitten Autumn.

I adopted a cat from Medfield Animal Shelter. The managers and staff working there were very friendly and professional. They really care about animals and spend lots of time and money helping animals in need. Long story short my cat got sick right before the scheduled time for me to pick her up, the manager emailed to let me know that they had taken the cat to the vet and is giving her medication. They made sure the cat was perfect and healthy before I could take her home. When went to pick up the cat, Jackie clearly explained everything to me including Muppet's vet report, lab test and vaccination record. She was very kind and helpful. Overall my experience at Midfield Animal Shelter was excellent. Thank you Jackie, Marlene and Sherryl!

I got my dog from here and he is great! There are many great pets here that need to be adopted.

The website said not to apply for a specific dog until a specific day. I sent one 8 o’clock that morning and apparently they already accepted another application sent prior that day.

Their animals are their first priority and they're so grateful for any donations to help keep the shelter afloat..it is run by an amazing team of volunteers in

Just adopted this precious Kitty. The shelter was so wonderful in helping us with the adoption process. Kim helped us with all of our questions and set us up for success. The shelter was clean and efficient. Our Kitty was obviously taken great care of by the foster parents. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to adopt a new fur baby.

I saw Bentley in a add for adoption on Facebook and to my surprise he was local! I emailed and got a response right away. I filled out my adoption application and gave my vets name for them to verify. When I came to meet Bentley, he was very scared and a little anti-social. Bentley had me at hello with his beautiful amber colored eyes. I worried because I already had 2 male cats at home, and my black boy in an Alpha male. So now its been roughly 3 weeks and after MUCH social distancing they can all be in the same room without killing each other ???? If fact power has changed paws, and Bentley has taken over as the new Alpha in town. I couldn't be happier with the whole adoption process and Bentley!!

This is one of the best shelters I've ever been to. The staff and volunteers here are so kind and friendly. The place is kept super clean and tidy. All the animals are so well cared for here. All the animals recieve not just the basic care of cleanliness, food, water and shelter but also love and affection that they so desperately need. Animals here are quickly fostered or adopted. This is a great place to find a pet to give a forever home to. <3

Adopted my cat from here after she was found living on the streets in the middle of winter, and the process from initial contact to adoption day was nothing but smooth. Friendly and caring staff! Would highly recommend Medfield Animal Shelter to anyone looking for a new furry family member.

Great people...so helpful! I got 2 kittens.

Treated very unkindly as potential adopters! Visited on a Saturday during open hours, when appointments were not necessary according to the website. We were treated as if we didnt belong there and then told we couldn't even see the animal we traveled almost an hour to visit because there was already an appointment the next day, which is fine, but as a shelter you would think they would show us other potential animals to adopt or at least make us feel more welcome. The lack of knowledge about the critter in their care and the unwillingness to even show him to us was unnerving. Extremely disappointed in the experience given how many rabbits I have adopted from various other shelters.

My wife and I just got two 11 month old male cats from here and the whole experience was wonderful. The shelter is small, but they have the lowest adoption rates of any of the other shelters we looked into in the Boston area. Be sure to ask about their items for sale. They created a supply package for us which included food and bowls, toys, and a cat box with litter. It was much more convenient and we would have paid a lot more to buy all these items from the pet store. They also have some used (but in great condition) pet supplies for sale such as cat carriers. The staff here is excellent. They clearly care about animals and were prompt and helpful in all our phone and email communication to them. Absolute A+ experience!

Awesome place. The people we met when we adopted our cat were very friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell the staff there really cares for every animal and takes the time to get to know them and help them while they wait for their new home.

Wonderful volunteers/workers at this no kill animal shelter. Really great, polite, helpful folks at this animal shelter. The shelter is very clean and organized. The animals are well tended and cared for. I'd give em 10 stars if could. :)
