They were ready to treat my pet after an attack, but they were not equipped and my dog's wounds weren't as bad as they could have been I guess they don't have enough staffing and equipment...so if there is any way to donate and help please do.

The doctors were awesome. I fully trusted them in taking good care of my cat.. the only gripe is very congested parking area other than that it’s all 5 stars for them. Too bad I moved further away from these fine folks

We've been bringing our dogs and cats here for 15 years. Until the last year or so, I would have given them 5+ stars. Drs. Hamburg and Ziegra have always been absolutely wonderful, they take time to explain in great detail any procedure or illness that we've dealt with, they think outside the box, work within your budget, and I truly feel like our pets' lives have been enhanced by their care. However. The past year or so, I have noticed that the newer staff and vets they have hired have not had the same level of attention or care. I have been treated rudely on several occasions by one of their vets - in one instance, they made a mistake in their records by confusing our 2 dogs (same breed, but different ages and different health concerns). When I tried to correct her, I was snapped at and she basically tried to argue with me over which dog they saw, despite the fact that the receptionist had already acknowledged that the mistake was on their end. I attempted to schedule a nail trim for our VERY nervous dog, and she suggested that it may be better to just not trim his nails if he was going to need to be sedated for it, which contradicts all veterinary advice I've ever heard, and I felt like she just didn't want to be bothered working with a difficult dog. She grudgingly offered a different combination of sedatives, but her attitude was very off-putting. In another instance, we brought our dog in because he had been limping and we noted that he had a corn, but we were unsure if the corn was causing the limp or if something more serious was going on. One of the newer vets saw him and did not even look at the corn, she immediately said it was either a cruciate tear in his knee or osteosarcoma (bone cancer). We were devastated and immediately scheduled a follow-up visit to xray his knee the next day. We saw a different but also new vet, who manipulated his knee and looked at the corn...and immediately said his knee was fine and it was clearly either the corn or a broken toe. Of course, we asked why on earth the first vet didn't look at the corn, and why she would have thought it was his knee, and the 2nd vet just shrugged and said it may have presented differently the first day. That's understandable, but we lost all confidence in the practice after that due to her abrupt and dismissive attitude and her lack of willingness to even look at his foot, even after we told her that he had an active corn. We're sad to leave after being clients for so long, but I feel like they are forcing our hand.

Incredibly professional, caring, and knowledgable staff. Having had pets my whole life, I am continually impressed by the care they provide our little chaos panther (cat). The business has the physical charm of a small-town vet, but the care staff I would expect from the most cutting-edge facility. After having used their services for >3 years, I can not recommend them highly enough.

The Doctors and staff have been very caring and helpful with Bandit and Velvet. They are both 16 yrs of age and are now experiencing health problems. I appreciate their patience and compassion in working with us for the best plan of action. Many thanks from all of us. ????????

Still fixated on Covid. I've been fully vaccinated since March, all state restrictions are over and yet I still can't enter with my dogs.

They truly care about the animals first and foremost. They're also flexible, good with follow-up, and great with communication. Really down to earth. Importantly they're not shady: they don't suggest useless imaging to inflate fees; they don't insist that you buy everything from them; they were happy to write a just in case prescription rather than insisting on visits every time for a chronic but occasional issue.

This was my go to vet for over 30 years. We would board out dogs there, always satisfied. The last two times I had to deal with them, whomever answered the phone wouldn’t ‘hear’ what I was saying. Very frustrated. Tried one more time, and my call was handled very unprofessionally. Had to finally leave.

Service was AMAZING! I brought my boyfriends dog for a quick check up. The front desk staff made everything super easy and even got Lucky to feel more comfortable about going inside alone!!!! Much gratitude, Amelia

Inflated prices. Asked for a quote for scheduling a routine physical for my cat and was quoted $220 by the receptionist. Not sure if that includes labs, but it was not disclosed that it does. Asked the same of a nearby competitor and was quoted $70. I live less than 5 minutes walk away so this is sad. Be sure to ask for pricing before you schedule.

The vets and vet techs are absolutely amazing at this clinic. I brought my 17year old cat and 11 year old boxer here and ended up having to put them to sleep (it was a few months apart). We saw Dr. Ziegra, and he has to be one of the most compassionate people I have ever met. They really care about your animals. They don't push for tests that will break your wallet, they take so much time evaluating your pet, answering your questions and concerns, they truly comfort you if the news isn't good. Malden Animal Hospital is so awesome I will never bring my pets anywhere else, I also recommend them to anyone with animals! ????

We've been taking our dog here for almost three years. The staff is incredibly kind and really care about the animals. When our dog managed to get a chicken carcass out of the garbage they advised us on the best course of action- and called to follow up several times to make sure she was still doing well. There is a small driveway in case you need to park close to the door; in addition, there are a number of close by side streets with unrestricted parking.

So I had previously set up an appointment for a nail trim for my new dog Marisol at the beginning of December. I was called by one of the receptionists Arianna to reschedule it, which I was understanding and perfectly fine with! However, I nicely asked why it was getting rescheduled again (which was fine with me) she was agitated from the start of the call and was very rude and proceeded to swear at me and called me a “bi**h” all because I had asked why the appointment was getting rescheduled again. I really don’t appreciate being yelled or sworn at. I ended up coming in for my appointment still and the doctor was very nice and prices are accommodating.

Even with coronovirus protocol in place, they are helpful and attentive. Not just to the pets, but also to the owners. I very much recommend them.

Dr. Ziegra, is a great Veterinarian. I have known him to follow up on our cat's condition even outside business hours to make sure things were getting better.

I had the worst experience with this vet, I cannot warn future pet owners enough not to go here. I moved to the area in June, and at the time my greyhound had a cast for a fractured paw, so I went to Malden Animal Hospital to follow up. I had a bad experience from the beginning with the office being very disorganized, with visits sometimes taking over an hour with no communication. Then my dog developed a sore under the cast- this is fairly common in greyhounds since they have such thin skin, but instead of explaining that the vet was very accusatory about it with me saying this would not have happened if my dog was fed better (Note: I had rescued him a month before and he was fresh off the track, he was still gaining weight but as I mentioned this is a known issue with greyhounds for vets who have experience with them). The day my dog got his cast off, the vet called to say his sore had gotten worse and if I had called the day before and they had taken the cast off then it would not be an issue, even though I had been in three before and I hadn't noticed any changes since then. He was once again very accusatory and unprofessional, and I left very upset and blaming myself. Due to COVID, I hadn't been able to go in with my dog and considering his next vet said the sore was so bad she could see his full tendon, I'm fully convinced the sore did not develop in those three days and the Malden Animal Hospital vet was not being honest with me about how and when it developed. Also, though this is much less important than the impact on my dog's health, I also felt this vet was trying to get as much money as possible from me. When my dog's cast was removed, the wrap didn't fully cover his sore. I called as soon as I got home, and they recommended I come back the next morning, which I did. Both of these visits were over $100 for wrapping his foot. I tried to point out that it was only fixing an error they had made the day before but was told that was how much a rewrap cost and it was not up for debate. After that experience, I changed to a vet that was recommended by a greyhound group. It has taken from July until now for the sore to heal, since it had gotten so bad, but I'm happy to say he's finally doing much better. My experience with the new vet has been great, she's been communicative and knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with greyhounds. I hate to think what would have happened to my dog's foot by now had I not changed vets.

We love Malden Animal Hospital! We have two nervous rescues, and the staff always makes them feel welcome, and takes the time to answer any and all questions we have. Even during Covid when their office was closed, Dr. Ziegra was available to answer questions we had when we ran into issues with our dogs. I just moved, but will continue to go here!

We feel so lucky to have a great vet so close by. My old pup has her fair share of issues, and every time I have to bring her in, I know she's getting the best care. They're super responsive, the prices are great, and they take such good care of my dog!

There are special protocols one has to follow to have your animal seen by Dr. PINO. They are simple and easy to follow. De Pino is a capable doctor. She will see your animal as soon as possible. She is a pleasant woman and has a love for you animal. You will not be disappointed with her service or the hospital.
