We brought our dog to the Pet Hotel Hadley. When we reached our destination 4 days in I received a call saying our dog was vomiting and they would be giving him rice to settle his stomach. I tried calling many times in the next few days and had no answer on the phone and left messages. When I did get through they said he was fine and happy. Later we found out he had kennel cough and when we got him home he was not eating or sleeping and we told he had pneumonia by the Vet at VESH South Deerfield emergency and lost 10 pounds. It took him 2 weeks to recover. This upset me very much. We will find someone to watch him at his own home next time.

When we first started boarding our dog here, we loved it! The staff was friendly and the place looked clean. On our last stay though, my dog got kennel cough from here. I called 3 times asking to speak with a manager to let them know what happened. The woman that I did speak to (who was not a manager) questioned me instead of just apologizing. She took down my info to give to the manager, but I still have not heard back.... So either the staff is hiding my messages or the managers there have a blatant disregard for other animals safety. We will not be coming back here again. My dog is my child. He has all of his vaccines, and is playful and happy. Having to take him to a vet to get medicine because he is suffering is not what I signed up for. Any parents who do choose to board here in the future, please note there is a confirmed case of kennel cough that came from this facility.

After being a customer at the pet hotel for grooming my two golden retrievers, I had a very unfortunate experience when our regular groomer left and the only choice available was Gretchen. The Pet Hotel had previously groomed my disable dog without issue, but when the previous groomer left, Gretchen complained about grooming my dog to others, only bathed her, but charged me the full grooming price of $85. When I complained after hearing all of this and seeing that she basically did nothing, the Pet Hotel Lied and said that my dog was a safety risk, when in fact, they had groomed her without issue for almost two years. I see someone else posted something similar. Notice a pattern here? This place is only concerned about their reputation, not customer service. When I was there one day picking up my dog, I saw one of the guys literally yank a dog. Previous employees who have left, must have done so because of poor treatment. I posted in the past, but they don't want the truth told to potential customers. This place is not at all professional. When I requested my money back, they just ignored me. There are other good groomers and dog day cares out there. I suggest others to find another one as I worry about their ethics and should something happen, it will never be their fault. Buyer Beware!

VERY mixed bag. This daycare offers less services than others, while still costing the same amount of money, but we wound up here because our first choice was full and our first impression was a positive one. That being said, we’ve always had regrets. The play areas are not particularly big or stimulating for the pups, and we were hoping for a daycare that offered additional training and the option of 1:1 playtime. Most of the staff are very kind and patient, and you can tell they love what they do and make every effort to help the dogs feel comfortable and cared for. This is what always left us hesitant about switching; our pup always seemed so happy to come to daycare. Though she can be a handful because she has separation anxiety, most of the staff in the play areas were very understanding. The groomer in particular was an absolute sweetheart and does fantastic work! However, my partner and I got VERY conflicting information about our pup’s behavior. Sometimes we were told she struggled tremendously and often nipped staff because of her anxiety; other times we were told she was as good as gold and gave the staff no trouble at all. What was always interesting to me was that most of the negative behaviors they mentioned have never occurred within our home, at the dog park, in public, or in the training classes she has taken. We were not made to think the harder days had become a huge issue until one day I came to drop my pup off and was told by a manager (D) that she couldn’t stay until she had completed a behavior course, or else they would have to call animal control because of her nipping. This came COMPLETELY out of nowhere and was particularly frustrating given that I made the reservation the week before and my pup had been to daycare several times that week already and was given a positive report each time my partner came to pick her up. There was ample time to communicate with us if things were truly so bad that my pup wasn’t going to be allowed to come to daycare until a course was completed. I found it very unprofessional. Since we’ve been contemplating switching daycares anyway, this just sealed it; my experience was soured. Overall, while there are some great staff members here, it alternated between being a decent and pretty lackluster experience because of others, which is a shame. I wish I knew the names of all those who did such a lovely job caring for my pup, because they deserve the positive recognition.

My cat loves it here! Haven't put her up here, but used the grooming services and she always comes out smelling fresh, nails did, with soft fur and a cute neckerchief lol. Very good with my cat, who was very comfortable with them and their groomers. Will continue to go here more :)

The staff here is so nice and took great care of my pup. She doesn't do well in group play so my dog gets short walks with the staff. I can tell they actually did take her out and play with her a bunch because she was still worn out the next morning. They put a lot of nice personal touches at pick up and drop off. The report card she got at the end was really sweet. I can tell they really took great care of her. Booking, pickup, and drop off was a breeze. The staff was ready and had already learned all her info provided up front. Highly recommend.

One of the hardest parts of moving cross country was finding a new boarding place. We tried other places before Hotel Hadley, but this was the first place we could tell he genuinely had a good time!! Excited to have found a place where I know my pup will be taken care of and happy when he has to be away from me.

My review is a bit different but is indicative of a person/place going above and beyond the call of duty. Due to an emergency with my kitty, I was at VESH in South Deerfield last night. There was a young man there with an older pup that I thought was his own, due to how gentle, loving and patient he was with her. He spent 4+ hours in that busy clinic and kept her entertained, calmed and feeling loved during that long wait. It turns out this wonderful young man is Dominic, the manager who had this sweet dog under his care at the Pet Hotel in Hadley. I was so impressed by not just the fact that he took all that time to bring her in for immediate care, but more importantly, how he interacted with her. It's a clear indication to me of someone/someplace going above and beyond for what they truly believe in. Great job Dominic and the Pet Hotel!

The staff has been great. My dogs have been groomed and have stayed over night when I got married. My only concern is the noise level. I get that dogs bark, but there was little to no noise reduction inside. I would trust them with my spoiled pups again.

We have left our two dogs (basenjis) at the pet hotel many times for daycare and boarding and have been pleased every time. The owner and staff were exceptionally accommodating when one of our dogs needed subcutaneous fluids due to her kidney disease during her stay one weekend. They were willing to take her to the vet to have the fluids administered if they couldn't do it on site. I couldn't be more appreciative of their willingness to make sure our dog got the care she needed. It took a few visits for the staff to understand that our other dog will destroy anything that isn't nailed down in his kennel (he has anxiety issues, I suggest over emphasizing this when you drop your dog off if he or she does the same), but other than that we've had nothing but positive experiences.

Our dog's first visit was a great success. She made friends quickly and apparently joined an impromptu vocal duo.
