Love this business. The Owner has groomed my Tuxedo cat for quite some time. My cat loves her groomer.

I moved nearby over the summer and finally had the chance to stop in today. Originally went in to grab a couple Christmas presents, but I left with more! I was really happy to see they are stocked with great quality brands I usually only find online or a farther out big chain store. Prices on certain items are definitely a little higher. But, it’s worth it to give business to a small owned shop. Definitely will be shopping here more often!

They don't take back anything that has been used from your pet. They won't take back a cat and or dog carrier. This is because they don't trust the customers if the customer says they never used the item. The machine was down therefore I couldn't get my discount with my discount card the last 2 or 3 times I was there. When I got the discount card for free the cashier said I would get my discount when the machines get back up. I went there 2 more times and I couldn't get my discount with the card. Im going to find out ASAP if I can cancel my discount card for this matter. I hopefully can cancel it.

Groomers are very compentant and good with my “not easy personality” dog. They are very detailed oriented groomers. What is most important is they are humane. If my dog’s coat is too unmanagable they do not torture him and do what’s best for him.

Excellent place to go for run treats for our guinea pigs! Lots of different hay that you can't find elsewhere!

If I could give this place no rating I would. The lack of professionalism from the woman upon check in was extremely rude and very offensive. With this being my first time there, I decided to not give business to a place that would treat their customers that way. Nor would I trust them with my dog based off how disrespectful the woman was. They also don’t have larger crates for bigger dogs.

I took my cat here for the first time this morning, and I am SO HAPPY with the care he was given. My cat has thick, long fur and had a big, stubborn mat on his back. The groomers took very good care of him this morning, and he looks fantastic. I think he feels much better too. I can tell they care deeply about the animals. Thank you Brookline Grooming!

Needed my cat’s nails trimmed and got in with less than a day’s notice. The process took maybe 2 minutes from when I walked in and the staff were super friendly. Will definitely be back!

HI , I have been going here for 8 years now and my Coco has never had a bad hair cut . I talk to the groomer myself to what kind of cut i want for Coco and they do just that . Wash and nails great job . I really couldn't ask for a better hair cut , very happy !! I was checking on the times they are open with the covid going on , I knew they had changed and started reading the reviews . I saw many bad reviews and can not understand why ?So i thought i would write one myself .This is my first review for Brookline Grooming and i give them 4 stars out of 5 , because there is always room for improvement . All said and done , great job , they work for us , 8 years and still going , that must tell you something . I hope this review helps anyone reading ! Thank you to all the staff !! Took my puppy in for grooming service since this was her groomer to begin with before I switched elsewhere and kept them as a backup. I dropped my puppy and picked her up 4 hours later just like I dropped her off not only does she hate being at the groomer but 4 hours with a terrible service only thing you can tell they did was give her a bath and left her with a bald spot on her neck and back no sign of haircut .Came home everyone asking what happened to her getting a haircut. When I made the appointment they never bothered to say her groomer was no longer working there I’m beyond frustrated and disappointing this was a waste of 75$ and they failed to understand my frustration! Terrible service they need lots of grooming training and customer service training. Then I was told the groomer didn’t really want to groom my puppy cause she was barking , if you felt so scared of a 7 pound chihuahua that was all you had to say and we would’ve gladly took our money elsewhere.Do not bring your fur baby here I am warning you all! Mindy the owner is in business for all these years which has me questioning how? With her rude self! They need to shut this place down and I will support the shutdown after my experience today. No customer who is paying for service should have to feel like this.This has me questioning race has a role. Sick!

First, I would like to say they had majority of my information wrong after spelling it out on the phone repeatedly. They messed up my email and name plus some parts of my address. Second, there was a disagreement in front of me regarding grooming my cat with the front desk person and the groomer cause apparently the groomer was overbooked so there was a lack of communication on their part. For Refernce I was called Monday on the early cancellation list so there was plenty of time to get everything situated. Disagreement with staff in front of customers is just unprofessional. Third, they are pretty overpriced for only shaving my cat and bathing her. They didn’t clean her ears nor cut her nails like I had asked on the phone. So another miscommunication there. Last but not least, I had informed the front desk person my cat doesn’t do well with dogs around her, had I know they would have had over ten dogs loose in a confined space next to my cat being groomed beforehand, I wouldn’t have gone to them. Her shave was messy, the paw pads weren’t cleaned up so there’s a bunch of grown out fur under her paws and sections of grown out fur behind her lower legs which is also quite irritating giving how much I paid. I wouldn’t recommend for a cat to be groomed here. It seems very chaotic and stressful for a kitty given how loud it is with too many dogs everywhere and the unprofessional environment. Though the lady holding my kitty down to be groomed and bathed was very sweet and kind.

This place is a nightmare. I asked to have my Pomeranian trimmed and they shaved her down to her base coat. It is extremely choppy and uneven. There are no words to describe what a terrible job they did. They are very unprofessional with poor customer service. Please avoid this place at all costs. Response: Not choppy or even? That is simply not true. I was not rude or demeaning to your staff. You were rude & unprofessional to a customer. I said the f-word once out of frustration & apologized for it. Your response here is dishonest. A no-refund policy is understandable when a quality and acceptable service is provided. In this case, that was not done. You couldn’t have paid me to chop my dog’s hair like that. It’s amazing how poor your customer service is with your “4+ decades” of experience.

I trust Brookline Dog grooming implicitly with the care and grooming of my dog. As a customer of many years I am assured that they treat my dog(s) as if she was their own. From their Doggie Daycare service to their years of expert grooming they are the place for professional pet care. Excellent, friendly and genuine. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

Manager Josh was very rude. My daughter with paws has been going to this place for a while. thanks to the manager josh we will no longer go there for business. Mindy the owner is always very nice and welcome .today I walked in to josh sweating and swearing then turned around and said oh I didn’t notice you there????????‍♀️ He didn’t try to help me has a loyal costumer ???? maybe it a race thing I’m not white !!!

The owner of this shop is ignorant to the concept of “customer service”. I spend ~$50 one day and returned a faulty $3 item the next day. The kind and courteous employee needed to get authorization for this return. When the owner came to the counter to authorize the return/credit she did nothing to apologize, and rather she questioned why I didn’t want the faulty product? WTH I thanked the sweet employee and asked her to tell the rude owner that I’d take my future business to the “big chain pet store” down the street. I’d much prefer to support our small local businesses, but I will not spend another cent in Mindy’s store.

I really can't give it much of a good or bad rating. I have never been there was calling because my mom who is a senior had a feline to be groomed and there's no discount for seniors for felines and basic grooming. In addition two things there is a appointment in place but a 3 month waiting period and it's a hundred dollars that seems extremely costly. To be honest I don't know how much it is to get a cat groomed nails, cleaning (fur, cutting hair and possibly spraying or applying some on hair for fleas). It's a indoor cat but poor thing scratches to death it is to much, poor thing is shedding it's that time of season have saw other cats shed their hair all over the place.

It's a cute little spot with realistic hours for those of us who work M-F, 9 to 5. However, I went on Saturday this time. In spite of the increased volume of business, my cat and I were grausiouuly greeted and provided excellent customer service. We will be regulars.

Excellent range of supplies and food for rabbits and guinea pigs (dogs, cats, fish and others too, but that's what I go there for!) Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful; and it brightens our day to see all of the happy dogs in back!

Today I went in and noticed that one of the employees was grooming dogs and coughing without a mask on. I think I'll be ordering pet supplies online from now on. Super disappointing.

Mindy, saw your reply below. This rating is because of your rudeness and lack of apology after realizing you were rude to a new customer. I came in for the DIY wash + nail trim this morning and you thought I was someone else (even if I was, good to know how you would treat a recurring customer).

Received an email within 72 hours of my appointment that if I cancelled within 72 hours, I would be charged extra if I come back. Pretty bad business to tell someone about an extra charge when it's already too late. Appointment was supposed to be at 8am, dropped my dog off @ 8am and was told she wouldn't be ready until 2pm, ridiculous. Was also told initially on the phone that they wouldn't be able to give me an estimate for grooming, but they charged me upfront almost $100 before any services were rendered which is also quite dishonest. overall not satisfied, do not recommend

DON'T GO TO THIS SHOP IF YOU DON'T WISH YOUR PET LOSE ALL THE HAIR!!! After grooming in this shop, they advised us to shave all my dog's hair and that make my dog bold till now. For nine month, my dog's hair doesn't grow up after grooming in this shop. I don't think anything could make up for this shop's unprofessional!!! I hope it could close up forever and never bring bad luck to the pet comes for grooming!!! For the reply of the owner: None slander you guys and this is the fact that you guy are not professional to make my dog's hair never grows up again. At least you can cut it short but not shave it. A medical grade blade should not damage his skin or hair. Pomeranian should never be shaved this is what I asked my doctor!!! Absolutely, you guys damage the skin and try not to be responsible for it. My dog doesn't groom for three months so what that is not the reason you guys shave it till his hair never grow up. Honestly, because of the pandemic, I don't want to visit you guys in store and ask for a claim. How rude of you is what you should consider about! Everyone can see your attitude from what you response!
