This place is kind of a dump. The employee who was working checkout was friendly, but it seemed as though very little care was being put into the overall store.

Good Pet grooming, but expensive. Call for Appt. Easy parking Allow 3-4 hours. Would be helpful to have grooming dept add our rewards number to account.When you get to register, coupons do not work, unless rewards number is attached to account.Register person said grooming department should handle this. Please correct this nuisance. Thanks

Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient staff

Out of timothy hay two weeks in a row, which isn’t itself deserving of 1 star… there were 6 ferrets competing to drink from a single water bottle at once. I let staff know and was told they “group drink” which is not a thing. They were thirsty and competing for water, probably after being shipped to the store. The staff obviously doesn’t care about animal conditions. To be dismissed and lied to like that is insulting and I will no longer be buying supplies from this store.

Went in for some fish for my nano aquarium. Yes you can keep fish in a nano aquarium with the proper skill. However, the lady in the aquatics section refused to help me or bag the fish I wanted because she morally believed it was wrong for me to put 3 neon tetras or guppies in a 2 gallon aquarium. —- petco should sometimes consider that fish buyers have experience and know what they are doing.

The staff is very knowledgeable and helps you to find best setups for your fellow creatures.

Have nice fish supplies there and inverts! Well stocked with lots of cool fish stuff.

Generally speaking their good variety had lots of gaps

The Grooming section has a new groomer that's not really helpul!! Missing the old groomers, they always had time for my dog and it seems that the pets came first for them. This new groomer has an attitude and tells you to come back later and there's never time for a bath...

They’ll try make buy stuff that your pet won’t need.They especially like to sell the expensive toys and make you wasted alot money.

Extremely sweet customer service, unfortunately a little under staffed but the staff did whatever it took to help and speed up the process for me and other clients. Very informative too. They do have ferrets for those interested in getting one.

The person I spoke to on the phone before my visit was knowledgeable and kind. Jackie was delightful, knowledgeable, and kindly and patiently explained everything we would need and need to do for our new hamster. She made my daughter feel included and helped impress the importance of taking care of our new pet. The store was clean and well organized.

Pleasant people but products I need wasn't available. I was stuck with getting only 2 flavors of urinary tract cat ???? food. I wish locale supermarkets would have it. You use gas to go way out to neighborhoods not in your general area and I personally had to pay someone to bring me here. I know do to a inconvenience the person told me come Monday it was a waste of my time had to give gas fare. Unless you live in this neighborhood or have a car ???? it's not worth. Only got 6 cans of food.

Any 18 wheelers that has a load to this place do not deliver here. The dock they have is for BOX TRUCKS. I ended up parking on the side of the store. The manager grabbed her employees and we unloaded the truck by hand. The 5 stars is for how great the employees and manager were!!

Very disappointing. I did an appointment more than 3 weeks ago, on Friday I was call to be notified that my appointment needed to be rescheduled. I was able to reschedule it for Sunday 9am. Then I was called again that they don't do grooming so easy so it was changed to 10 am. When I arrived and I took my dog, I let them know that she takes trazodone prescribed by her Vet for stressful situations such as medical appointment or grooming. They took her and then they called me 10 mins later to let me know that they are not going to take her as they don't groom pets under medications. IF thats the case they should ask and said that BEFORE I spent more than 40$ in uber tiring to bring my dog there. In addition my dog was very alert and normal was not even drowsy. The staff was not empathic and they just recommended me to go to my vet so the vet should groom her or thy could give me an appointment in 2 weeks. I am sure other dogs take low doses of anti-anxiety meds so they can be groomed and cooperative, I accepted totally responsibility and even offered to stay . They even have the VET info , my dog has never had any issues like that before. In summary a disaster- Very unorganized, no empathic, staff.

Older Lovey Girl got the best bath and grooming she's ever had. He did a fantastic job deshedding her heavy undercoat. She looks 10 lbs lighter! 10/10 customer service!

My local Petco, across the river from Cambridgeport. They carry just about any pet product you might require. Plus the groomers are a great option for all us dog owners. Lizy is a star, she is wonderful with my Lab/Shepherd mix. Keeps him looking ????.

only one cashier and nobody on the sales floor to ask for help. floor was dirt and the restock in brown boxes on sales floor.

Unlike a lot of chain stores, at this Petco you can see the manager leading her team, jumping in to make sure customer experiences are positive, and keeping the store's products relevant. The grooming salon has a staff that I drive further than two other locations to choose. There's a lot of heart here.

I bring my wooly coated husky here for bath and deshedding and Lizzy is the best groomer ever! They're so kind and my dog left super happy and looking great! Thank you so much!!

Understanding that everything around pets is a big industry, it's no surprise that the store associates encourage people (especially kids) to buy more items and accessories and spend more money. My 13 yr old son bought a fish tank and some fish. Instead of rocks on the bottom, the guy at the store recommended some kind of soil but did not clarify that it needs to be rinsed before use (and of course kids don't read the fine print on packages). The aquarium was a murky, muddy mess for about a week and we had to replace two water filters before the water was clear and we could put the fish in. He also bought a pineapple shaped aquarium ornament with large holes that the fish can swim thru. It cost a lot more than on Amazon, and after a few weeks the paint peeled off and the fish were nibbling on it... we removed it and were disappointed with the low quality. I called and emailed Petco, sent them a picture, got no reply :-/

Every time I get a fish from petco they always end up dying for Ich… the water quality in the fish tanks look so bad. I would never buy fishes here ever again
