I love ARL Boston. Adopted my perfect dog, Patrick, (AKA Thunder) from here and the staff are amazingly kind, professional and knowledgeable. I would never have considered him as I went in looking for a small dog, but they knew better, and he is the best and best fit for me and my family. We walk, hike and run together and he is the most loving, adorable, and sweetest dog. I brought him back to visit ARL after he was with me for a year, and he was ecstatic meeting with the staff who cared for him pre-adoption. I love this place and am forever grateful. Thank you to everyone, but especially Ryan, Michele, and Paddy's favorite, Dania (sp?)

This is an amazing organization. They do great work for animals. We adopted a kitten from them a few years ago, and it was a very positive experience.

Amazing staff! When we got our cat 6 months ago they did a wonderful job of providing us with the necessary details and even gave us a scratching post, small bed, and toys as well. Great experience and would go back again when the time comes.

I got my cat Myers Jett Wiley from them and I love him so much. I got to get me a new cat so he has a friend now. The place answers your phone call quickly and the answer emails quickly. They love all the animals and take very good care of them. All the animals they have are fixed so you don't have to pay to get your cat or dog spayed or neutered because they do it ahead of time. My understanding is the MSPCA charges you to spay or neuter your cat or dog and they give you the option if you want to spay or neuter your cat or dog before they do it when you're getting ready to adopt an animal from them.

We were able to walk Puma outside and interact with her. Michelle walked us through the process of adoption and Puma, now Bella Luna, has been with us a week and we are in love with our new family member.

We adopted. Great service. We have had our dog for 5 days and love him. New note below on 9/21/21. Going strong now with Ace after 2 months on 9/6. We love him. He is a challenge, loving, fun, and tiresome but most of all a blessing to our family. He is so spoiled with toys, snacks, playtime, and love. He loves everyone in our family and lets you know this when you arrive home or simply come in the room. He is not just man's best friend. He is a families best friend!!!

The people at this rescue shelter show genuine affection to the pets and are communicative and supportive throughout the adoption process and even after. I was pleasantly surprised and glad I went through them

Best animal shelter around! I found my cat off petfinder and filled out an application and there response time was so amazing. They made the adoption process easy and non stressful! Dania was so kind and gave us so many resources and when I was having card trouble she was patient and understanding! I’m so grateful I was able to adopt from them and will be referring everyone to go adopt from them!

Two weeks ago we adopted a cat named Pro. The experience has exceeded all of our expectations. He seems as he has lived here forever. Sleeping in both his bed and the two adult beds. He is actively entertaining, with boundless energy. The ARLOB is responsible for making this adoption go so smoothly. Thanks to all of you. Special thanks to Tia who handled the connection from initial phone call, through the entire adoption. I will always use your organization for anyone thinking about rescuing an animal.

Very bad experience. Left an adoption interest form on-line as requested. The person called two days later, left a vmail to call back ASAP to schedule an appointment. I called back 5min later, went straight to vmail, kept calling every 15min. No response. Finally reached them a few hours later, the cat we wanted already had another appointment. What a waste of time!!! The person did not even apologize, her tone was rather "why are you even calling?" There has to be a better system or they just have more pet adopters than pets and really do not care, which is obviously great for the animals and I will find mine somewhere else. Not worth it being treated this way...

Great location... Staff have covid protocols down... Super friendly we picked up two rats and are so happy to have them in a loving home... Now to get one year of living in a pet store out of there minds. Highly recommend going here if you are looking for any type of pet.

I can give 6 stars If I could. It is good you know that there are good people with a pure heart and willing to help. They helped me with everything necessary for my 3 cats during the pandemic, thanks, May, Alex, and the volunteer who helped me bring everything by car to my home was helpful because I have many health problems and disabilities. I admire them, and I will carry them in my heart and whatever I can donate I will do it with pleasure. Please help this organization, they are wonderful beings who do it unconditionally for our animals. Thank you. THANK YOU.THANK YOU! Extremely grateful. AQ. South end. It's a shame this agency continues calling itself "animal rescue" when indeed they terminated its rescue team whose boss was Brian O'Connor in 2017. This was the legacy of Good-For-Nothing president Mary Nee now retired. Mr. O'Connor and his rescuers of domestic and all wild animals were showed the door by ARL of Boston, all kind of wild animals in need of urgent rescue die slow, painful deaths in Boston area and whole Massachusetts. But still ARL wants your money, your donations. They say now they "rescue" turkey vultures, hawks, raptors, because rarely those raptors need rescue. It's disgusting to see how this former good agency stopped helping suffering animals because for the directives GREED was more important than service to all animals, without any discrimination. ARL founder was betrayed after 100 year. Now ARL is just one more dogs and cats shelter giving a damn about animals, but keeping the money in the deep pockets of the shameless people in charge of it
