I absolutely love this practice. With my animals I have gone to a wide variety of vets across western and Central MA, but Mill Valley is by far my favorite. I learned about them last year from a dog trainer friend of mine, took my service dog for his first appointment there was was treated with so much compassion and understanding. Both of the vets that I have had experience with there have made sure that everything was explained, and took the time to belay my fears when he came up as lyme positive. Today, in addition to our dogs' yearly vaccines and HW testing, I had a concern I had about my dog's spine. I keep him fit as he is a working dog, and thought something was irregular as his spine has always been easily palpable. When I didn't hear anything as the doctor was checking in with me over the phone, I brought it up again with the tech just to be sure, who ran him back in to be double checked. No roaching, no misaligned vertebrae, I was just feeling the differences between the thoracic and lumbar spine. Load off of my mind, and the vet told me the vet thought it was cool I had picked up on it.

The best doctors and staff. Helped my dog Rocky and saved his life during his heart worm treatment. Thanks guys!

Dr. Clay and the whole staff are wonderful and took the time to talk to me about each of my dogs. My little guy was very sick and he is now on the road to recovery thanks to every one at Mill Valley

i have two german shepards Cody and Julie they do a great job for my dogs we have had several puppies they did a great job with them as well the first litter she quit feeding them and they showed me home to feed them by a tube alot of work but the mom started after 2 weeks all puppies survied.i still use mill valley nice staff too

I have been going to this vet for two years per the recommendation from my close friend. Unfortunately I have not had the same positive experience. The last time my two dogs were seen, in August, it cost around $400 to “cure” my dogs ear infection. When the medication didn’t work I called and asked for the doctor to review the culture I spent $133 to have done, and prescribe me a new medication. I was told that couldn’t be done and I would have to come back in. For another fee. I requested to board my dogs at my regular boarding facility and the facility told me my dog rabies expires the end of November. Since he just had his annual visit in August I called the vet and asked if he could get a rabies vaccination without a doctors fee charged on top of the vaccination. The office manager laughed at me on the phone, which was incredibly rude, and told me she couldn’t waive the fee. They didn’t have his rabies records so didn’t know they were expiring. I’m honestly not sure who’s at fault for this one. Me for not remembering that his 3 year rabies vaccination ends or them for not asking or keeping notes in their file. My big boarding kept track with the same information the vet has so it’s concerning the vet couldn’t do the same. When I was there in August the front staff was very rude, and when I tried making an appointment I asked for latest available appointment during the day. She told me when they close, but there was no appointment open. Tons of miscommunication, uncomfortable interactions and rude dialogue. I’ve spent way too much money in these short 2 years to be treated like this. My dogs are 11 and 10 years old so I know a good vet when I see one and this is not a good one. Compassionate, friendly staff and knowledgeable vets who aren’t trying to grasp every last penny out of you is a vet I want to see. Mill Valley Vet is none of these! So I will be taking my business elsewhere and in the meantime going to Petco for a rabies vaccination. It should be that easy. Very disappointed.
