My white haired terrier mix went here in June. The cut he was given was uneven and raggedy looking. Price was high. I won't use this groomer again.

We have been taking our dog and our cat here for about the past year. Dr Codd and the staff that works here are always extremely welcoming and very detailed at explaining things. When we got our pup, we purchased the puppy package which helped save so much money on vaccinations and procedures. We moved out of Ashland and still make the long drive to come here because of their services. I highly recommend this Vet.

They take such good care of my dog. They're sensitive to my dog's needs, and provide vet and boarding services. Highly recommend.

Dr Codd and the team have been doing a great job treating my dog. He's anxious and can be fearful of strangers in small spaces but they've been kind, caring, and patient while working with him.

Not one vet in the area would take a loom at my dog bc the appointments were full or they were closed. I wasn,t sure it was an emergency but Dr Valice told me to come in and it turned out my dog has 3 broken bones in her foot and needs surgery... thank you Dr Valis!!!!

Dr. Valas and the entire staff at Ashland Family Pet Hospital is just the BEST! They have taken great care of my pup and it is always a pleasure to be in their comfortable and friendly office. As the Leasing Consultant at Woodview at Legacy Farms apartments in Hopkinton I am frequently asked for vet recommendations from our many pet owners who reside here! I always recommend Ashland Family Pet! AND it's only 10 minutes away! Score!

We have been with Dr Valas for a very long time! Maybe 16 years and two dogs she has been great to us and our pets. Compassionate with the passing of one and a few emergency visits with the second dog. Wouldn’t want to go anywhere but to her with my furry baby.

We started bringing our two cats to Ashland Family Pet Hospital a few years ago after we adopted them. We chose this practice based on the good reviews. At first, it definitely lived up to the reviews. Our cats saw Dr. Bodkin, whom we adored. She left. Next, our cats saw Dr. Warner who was thorough, compassionate, and knowledgeable. She also left the practice. Next, our cats shifted to Dr. Duckett. We also found him to be a thorough and good vet. Our issue is with the declining customer service. Our one cat is on a year-round prescription for skin allergies. We went for the refill and were given the wrong size. Called to correct it. The receptionist was clear that we "wouldn't get anything for free." It became a whole fiasco. Finally we were told they'd prepare the difference of the prescription and we could pick that up. Then we were told they couldn't do that afterall. That's fine. I get that there are limitations on breaking up prescriptions. I don't get the need to be rude and unhelpful. My husband went to pick the meds up (we agreed to pay for the amount we'd erroneously been given and then get the right amount). In the meantime, we noticed the meds we'd been given were 4 years old and nearly expired. Our cat didn't react to them well so we brought it up. Dr. Valas refused to come out to talk with us. Vicki, the receptionist said the dr. would call later. My husband left disappointed but expecting a call. Later, Vicki called me. Dr. Valas still couldn't be bothered to discuss our concerns about the meds directly with us. Neither in person or on the phone. I let Vicki know we were extremely disappointed and her response was, "sorry." We had purchased a year-long wellness plan for our cat with allergies and while disappointed, had hoped to ride out the year and see if anything improved. That all changed today. We called to say our cat had fallen ill and we'd like an appointment ASAP. The receptionist said all the vets were busy, sorry. We asked for a referral to an e.r. clinic and were told any of them are good. Not even a "we've had clients use X in the past, please keep us updated on your cat!" I have never experienced such unprofessional care from a vet. I would not recommend this practice. It is too bad, something has clearly changed here and not for the better. The way we have been treated is unacceptable and we will gladly take our business elsewhere.

Never again. Dropped both of our dogs off for grooming this morning. Used their services many times before. This time no one called to let us know that the dogs were ready. After we called they said to come by now. My wife picked up our dogs and when she was on her way home, she noticed one was leaking his paw non stop. When she finally got home I realized his nail was trimmed so short it was bleeding and hurting him. Called them back and they said that accidents happen occasionally and he will be fine. We never gave them a permission to trim their nails in the first place. If they would have let us know that this happened and an honest heads up or an apology would have been real nice. Will look for another place to take our babies.

This place is awesome. Very knowledgeable, kind, and its just an all around good atmosphere. Dr. Lencewicz is so nice and really good with my bun. They're accommodating and really nice to everyone who walks in. The set up is really nice too. Great place to go, they really care about your pets.

I have known Dr. Valas from day one. The passion that she and her staff has is way more than can be expected. They understand your concerns that happens with our animal kids. Once you go to family pet you become part of their family.

The Family Pet Hospital was so helpful with my Chinchilla and Cat. Very great with my animals, and explained why they were experiencing hair loss and ingrown hairs on my chin. Very thoughtful and understanding.

Soon after I adopted my then 7 year old Choc. Lab, I noticed something wasn't right with him. I went to Dr. Valas because TFPH was right around the corner from my home. After 1 year of steroids and immunosuppression he is doing fine. I must admit there were a few times I didn't think he was going to make it. Unfortunately I moved to New Hampshire and now I have a new Dentist, new Primary Care Physician, new Opthomologist but I make the 5 hour round trip drive to see Dr. Valas.

I have no words to describe how wonderful, caring, compassionate and amazing they are. Dr. Duckett took such great care on the final days of my cat, he often called to know how she was doing and so on, unfortunately my cat passed away and when I arrived at the hospital Dr. Duckett received my cat and I, he was so respectful and professional, he is wonderful Knowledgeable man, they took care of arrangements with respect. Thank you for treat my cat and myself with respect.

I had been using another local vet hospital for 20 years. My dog Bella suffered terribly from chronic ear problems with little help from the vet. I met Dr. Valas' husband walking at the state park and he said 'you should call her' - so grateful for that day!! On our very first trip to the family pet hospital, Dr. Valas identified a strain of bacteria that did not respond to typical antibiotics. She treated Bella and for the remaining 3 years of her life had NO ear problems!! I wish I'd known about them sooner to save her unnecessary suffering. When she became sick with cancer, they offered the best possible care and were so kind and compassionate when it came to her final days. The team there is phenomenal. They are so on top of everything related to your pets needs. For 4.5 yrs they have treated my mini dachshund and are thrilled to see him when he arrives! Our newest member, Ginger, was adopted a year ago. On her first well check visit, Dr. Warner suggested a blood draw. Dr D called me in to suggest some additional testing and they found her to be heartworm positive. He was so helpful and literally saved her life ~ the treatment was long, arduous and costly but the whole team worked to make it happen! I now have a very healthy, happy and much loved coonhound! I would never go elsewhere!!! Although they have grown in size by leaps and bounds, almost everyone greets and treats you like family. They are so very warm and personable. I would recommend them to anyone!! Thank you for all that you do Family Pet Hospital ❤

I've been going to the Family Pet for several years receiving veterinary care for a multitude of animals - 6 hamsters, 2 gerbils, and a 1 dog to date. I can't say enough about the vets, front desk, vet techs, & beautiful facility here - all-around FANTASTIC! 1) If you have a small animal in need of treatment, YOU NEED TO SEE DR. VALAS! SHE IS AMAZING - incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, kind, loving & sincere. She understands that even though rodents are small in size, they can be big in heart. She treated my hamsters & gerbils for respiratory infections, wart removal, cancerous tumors, even stroke - all with exceptional diagnosis & care. 2) My dog Sid gets the best treatment from all the staff & vets with great canine & human bedside manner. Dr. Duckett was also very responsive to questions I had regarding flea & tick treatment. Sid LOVES boarding & doggy daycare here too with very personal care & updates. 3) CONCLUSION: Like Sid, who always runs into the doors in anticipation of doggy playtime & loving care, run don't walk to the Family Pet where everyone treats you & your pets like Family. THANK YOU EVERYONE! Shout out to my Sid bud Savonha (sorry if I misspelled)!
