For grooming, my dog comes out soft and smelling like an angel

I really can’t say enough good things about Skipton! I’ve been taking my boy here for about 3 years now. I’d be lost without this place. He is on the sensitive side, but he acts like Skipton is his second home. He adores all the staff, and they are fantastic with him. It’s so obvious everyone at Skipton cares deeply about each dog that comes through their doors. They carefully select the dogs they take, which I am very appreciative of. They foster a safe and friendly environment, and I never have to worry when I leave him there. The home style facility is an amazing fit for us, and the staff sends adorable photos throughout the day. Many thanks to all the staff, you all are wonderful!

We picked Skipton for our dog based on the recommendation of our trainer. Our dog is a n “energetic” breed and we knew daycare would be a challenge. I called Skipton and they where hesitant at first but agreed to a trial. Turns out the trial went great, and she was accepted for regular daycare. After the first 2 days the staff had great things to say, and each time my dog came home calmer and better mannered than I dropped her off. I thought things where great, but it all changed on day 3 (third week) I drop her off, and 3 hours later I get a “wall of words” text from a young staff member saying my dog is behavioral and is not welcome back. Very disappointing. #1 - if there is a problem, be PROFESSIONAL, pick up the phone and CALL me to discuss. Don’t text like a teenager. #2 - If my dog was not a good fit for the environment, tell me that up front. I’d rather hear that than being told it’s great when it’s not. Don’t string it along and waste weeks of my time I could have been looking for a better fit and you could have given the spot to another dog.

Skipton is a great place,I bring my dog Cooper for daycare and he loves it!

Our Luna pup has been going here for over a month and we are very happy with how they take care of her. We here picture updates throughout the day, and you can tell she's having a blast. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Gentlemen I spoke to was very snarky and condescending. I would never recommend boarding my dog here seeing how they treat customers or potential customers.

Zoe is a 7 month puppy very playfull Today the owner called me in the middle of her staying asking me to go pick her up bc she bit another dog and said he didn’t want Zoe there any more. I sent them a email concerned about her behavior and he told me that she was way too playfull and that Zoe did not act mean to the other dog but she does play with her mouth a lot.... shocker!!!

Best pet daycare and boarding around!

We’ve boarded our boys, Rudy and Rusty, several times. The staff is friendly, helpful and you can see how much they care for their charges. We feel confident that our boys are in good hands, and that is most important. The flexibility and ease of boarding has been a godsend as we have had medical emergencies and Skipton helped us out last minute, no reservation. The outside space is great for my energetic little ones and at night they get to sleep with the staff, just like they sleep with us. Thank you guys. Stuart and Wanda

We take our labrador almost every month for nails. Their groomer is highly experienced and knowledgeable. And their customer service is geat. Have not used any other services that they offer.

My pup loves visiting skipton. He gets really tired and eats well when we pick him back. So we are happy ????

Friendly staff. They greet my dog by name when he arrives. They also text photos of my dog to me each day he’s there and sometimes post to Facebook.

Amazing staff, Our dog absolutely loves everything about it and we love it just as much! They are so welcoming and our dog feels right at home. He has an absolute blast. Thank you Skipton Pet Lodge!

Skiptons was there for our family at very short notice, at our time of great need. Everyday, their caregivers emailed us pictures and an update. Skiptons is more like a home, than a kennel.

Great staff, fantastic care for our two dogs. Have relied on Skipton for over two years and believe the care they provide is simply better than any other place we've used. Would recommend to anyone for boarding their dog.

Extremely rude staff, service has gone down in last year. Not impressed at all.

No better place to bring your pooch!

The staff was great with our 4 month old American Bully (not bulldog) and all loved her and raved about how well she got along with the other dogs. The staff told us that her breed is one that would be allowed since she was coming in from the time when she was a puppy. After bringing her in several days, I came to pick her up after work today and I was told by the business owner that she wouldn't be allowed back. She did not hurt another dog, wasn't acting aggressively, or exhibiting any behavior that could justify her not being allowed back. I was told that he didn't like how playful she was with the smaller dogs (she's currently <30 lb.). He then proceeded to shove her into my arms. This is the same owner who told my girlfriend that our German Shepherd wasn't allowed due to her weight (65 lb.) without ever meeting her. I was then told by another staff member that he actually doesn't allow German Shepherds because he had a bad experience with one once. To put it bluntly: he lied to us. Despite our dog's exemplary behavior/friendly demeanor and her popularity among the staff who was with her for several days, the owner saw her for one afternoon and decided that she is not allowed back. Based on conversations with the rest of the staff who were with her each time she was in, this is not a decision they were in agreement on. This is a clear case of breed discrimination by the business owner. I would discourage anybody from bringing their pets to Skipton not only due to this being morally wrong, but also a shameful business practice!

I really don’t love leaving my dog anywhere, but this place puts my heart at ease. Joanne is fabulous, she will text you pictures and updates on how your pooch is doing. Gus is happy and exhausted at the end of the day when I pick him up on my work travel days. I know pups that sleep over and they have the option to sleep on beds and couches or be crates if that is their normal preference. We just had Gus groomed there for the first time and OMG he looks beautiful and is so so soft. It’s the best grooming of his life.

Our dog loves Skipton. They take great care of her in a home like atmosphere and she loves playing with her dog friends.

Love, love, LOVE this place!! The treat my dogs as if they were their own, and send me pictures throughout their stay, which I really appreciate. Very affordable, too!

Only takes small or medium dogs

My dog loves it here. It is just like home, no cubes. They have a fenced in backyard and the room/couch etc. to play or lay around.
