We moved to the area this past year with two cats and didn’t have a primary vet in the area yet. One got sick over the summer after eating something and the office was able to get her in right away and personalized care, fluids, appetite stimulant, and with frequent call check ups. A few months later my older cat developed some lumps and Dr. Palopoli was very thorough in her care. She did what she could before referring us to an oncologist rather than continuing to run tests there. Our cat was diagnosed with lymphoma (as Dr Palopoli suspected) and is undergoing treatment with an oncologist. Because of Dr Palopoli’s care, honesty, help, and frequent follow ups we were able to get her proper care quickly and I can’t speak higher to her ability. She is empathetic, transparent, and communicative and the entire team has been so helpful and kind. Our journey has been so reassuring to have a primary office and team that clearly cares about the health and well-being of our cats. Thank you for all you do!

VCA really "gets" cats, it's definitely a plus that it's cats only. They're truly empathetic towards their patients, and very flexible when it comes to cats that freak out at the vet (like mine haha)

I couldn't say enough about VCA city cats, highest quality of pet care I have ever seen. I brought my kitten here for his first time appointment and I will never bring him anywhere else! They are so kind and made sure he had everything he needed. I brought him to get neutered yesterday and as a cat mom I was nervous! The second he was done they called me and a few hours later texted me a picture of him wrapped in blankets letting me know he was doing good. That was exceptional in my opinion. They also have a package that includes EVERYTHING your kitty could need and really sets an affordable payment plan. I could go on and on but you should see for yourself :)

$80 just to walk in the door. That doesn’t include bloodwork, vaccines, medications or any other things you will probably need because that’s why you’re at the vet in the first place. Recently brought my cat in because he was vomiting semi-frequently. The visit consisted of a conversation with the vet where she suggested doing a $300 x ray to see if it’s a partial blockage. I said I’d rather try prescription food instead first, since he wasn’t having other issues or showing signs of a blockage. She also prescribed an anti nausea medicine. All told, it ended up being like $150 for what amounted to a conversation, a brief once over, some fancy food, and medication. It could have been $450 instead if I had taken her suggestion to do the unnecessary x ray. Ps: the food worked. He’s better now. Just wish it didn’t cost so much just for that!

My cat just had surgery there. I was expecting much worse for recovery, but she's looking good and seems to be doing well, and seems happy. I think she's also high as a kite on pain meds, but also good to know that she's probably not in pain. Even though it's hard to do normal things during the pandemic, the staff there all kept me informed about how things were going and they are caring.

I had to turn to VCA City Cats Hospital in a pinch with a very difficult decision to make about my ailing cat after Arlington Animal Clinic blew me off. City Cats were very responsive and were able to squeeze my cat in that afternoon. They were very professional and sympathetic to my situation, and I'm grateful at how they held my hand through the painful process. I'll definitely return here as a client in the future with a new cat friend.

Awesome service, both with taking care of your pets and with explaining all their findings and work that needs to be done. Dr. Nannig was wonderful for my pet, he wasn’t stressed at all and the exam, shots and nail trimming was all done in under 30 minutes. Truly excellent service and will continue to come here for all my pet’s medical needs.

This place is the best. My kitty had some problems breathing and brought him for a second opinion and stayed. The doctor and all the staff were so accommodating, finding appointment slots in their busy schedules and trying treatment options to identify his condition. He is still recovering, but I am grateful for the care and expertise of the VCA team here.

Dr Leavey is the best! Warm and compassionate; she really cares for all the cats that come through the door. The vet techs are great as well!

The staff here are great, but their policy of payment at time of service is what is ultimately going to send me to another clinic that is willing to work with clients to set up payment plans when necessary. If funds are tight, this isn't the best choice because of that policy. I will miss the awesome staff and their care of my cats.

I brought my cat in when she got sick and VCA in Arlington were very accommodating during these difficult Covid times. In the end, long story short, she ended up not making it, which I'm not sure I'll ever get over the loss. But VCA was extremely supportive and I could tell that they truly cared for the well being of my cat and did the best they could to help her get better. Thank you.

Wonderful and caring. Our beloved cat had a gooey eye during Covid 19 and we were concerned with having him go in alone. They were very clear in their communication and all went smoothly. They checked in on his progress and were super all around. Thank you City Cats ????

Cannot recommend this team enough. The vet techs are responsible and diligent, the veterinarians are never dismissive of an issue but don't talk you up to get more than they think your cat needs. Also just generally speaking bringing a cat to an all-day hospital is the best option - cats already hate the vet, at least bring them to one that doesn't smell like dog.

We followed our wonderful vet when she joined VCA City Cats, and we were delighted with the staff, facility, and level of care. No cat is glad to visit the doctor, but ours was definitely calmer given that there weren't dogs in the waiting room. We were also impressed with the hospital's manager, who was warm and welcoming as well as very knowledgeable in answering questions from patients' guardians.

Friendly. Expensive, but that maybe normal for vets.

What an AMAZING PLACE! I am so happy I found them and my kitty, Tweek, is in good hands! The Dr is super sweet, friendly and caring. She listens and tries to keep the prices down. I have a mental disability and my cat is my companion cat and helps me through tough times. Him being sick took the wind out of my sails. However, this place is so amazing and the girls at the desk are super nice, friendly and kind. I am very comfortable with my kitty here and the girls at the counter helped me overcome my stress and worry. THANK YOU VCA CITY CATS! You are the bestest!

Everyone is so nice! I brought both my cats and my baby for back to back annual exams and rabies shots and the front desk went through my pills of paperwork to ensure they were up to date on everything, the very tech helped me carry the cats since my hands were full with baby and paperwork, and the vet we saw was very nice. I mean, it's like going to the dentist, you never can floss enough (insert tartar build up and wet food) but I always feel like my cats are in good hands when we go here. Both for the usual visits and if they aren't feeling well.

I almost never write reviews, but I need to share how phenomenal City Cats made the process of putting down my childhood kitty. I am new to the area and brought my cat in on Tuesday because he stopped eating and looked sick. When I brought him in they were very straightforward on what tests need to be run. It was determined that he had kidney failure, and while an incredibly difficult decision for me, it was decided it was best to put him down to avoid any further pain. They help me set an appointment for the next day so I could have one more night with him. The day of the appointment the experience was unrivaled. It was professional and thought out for both me, as the pet owner, and my kitty. It started with having someone at the door to greet me and take me straight back to an exam room so we didn’t have to wait with others (Unbelievable! I didn't even ask for that but it was so appreciated). From there the vet was waiting for us and came into our room almost immediately. She clearly explained everything that was about to occur and reassured me through my last minute hesitation I was doing the right thing (I was a bit of a mess). Once I said okay the vet gave me some last minutes with him and waited right outside the room until I was ready. When I gave the word, they took him away in the towel I brought him in, prepared him, and then brought him back into the room in a little basket still wrapped in his towel. He looked very comfortable and I knew he was in good hands. The whole process went off without a hitch it was so peaceful. Right after he passed one of the nurses secretly passed me a little pamphlet for a local non-profit that helps with pet loss grief (Again absolutely phenomenal in a time of great loss). A week later I got a card in the mail with his paw prints signed by everyone in the office. I can not stress enough how perfect this experience was. In this moment the best thing a vet can do is to provide the best closure possible with your kitty loved one and they delivered 150%. Please go here for your cat needs. Rest in peace Moe you were the best cat a little boy could have ever wished for and were a great companion through college and adulthood.

These guys are great. We know them through their partnership with Black Cat Rescue. They have taken care of two of our fosters already and have been very kind and helpful. One of our fosters is terrified and they covered her up to help her relax. I would recommend them to anyone with a pet!

My cat needed an extraction. Not the happiest event. But Dr Werlin and the VCA staff were understanding, caring and professional. And now Seamus is a happy guy!
