Always available to help with emergencies and with everyday things. After my dog's first vet retired they were happy to take him on as a patient and I've been very happy with their service.

This place is awful. I don’t usually write reviews or like to talk badly about businesses. However, I need to express how highly unsatisfied I am with the quality of service for this place. I called, attempting to book an appointment and an older adult screamed at me to call in the afternoon. I proceeded to call in the afternoon following this rude individual's suggestion. I spoke to another rude lady, informing them they do not book months in advance - which is completely fine, but her rude tone and condescending attitude is ridiculous. I would seek other vets considering it’s impossible to make an appointment at this location without encountering rude employees. Not sure if COVID is making everyone on edge but this place should consider how they speak to folks.

from the start we had a bad experience. the receptionist was very rude and seemed like she could care less she was there. to the nurses who put literal scotch tape for on our dog. never again.

Friendly staff, Dr.Katz is great. Doesn't oversell what your pet will need.

I do not know what we will ever do if there is no Dr. Katz. He is the epitome of kindness and an example of excellence not only in his knowledge but in his love of animals. A truly caring and intelligent man.

My dog was not a patient here but when I needed an emergency vet they welcomed us in immediately when no place else had openings for a month. They took great care of my dog. It was worth the long drive to get there.

You gotta be down for some weird experiences, but the care is top-notch and Dr. Katz has saved our cat's life a couple of times so I have no complaints.

I called to get my dog dental surgery that my usual vet was booked way out for --and was initially very happy that they were able to schedule me, I was clear that my dog hadn't previously been seen there and was told it wouldn't be a problem. I waited a week until the appointment and brought in my dog on time, filled out the paperwork and they took possession of my dog. Halfway on my return home I received a call saying they could not do the surgery on a dog they hadn't previously seen and that she would need a pre examination, and both that appointment and the subsequent surgery couldn't be done that day, I was to come back immediately and pick up my dog that was in pain and now stressed, and be left with no recourse. Incompetence of the highest order, I welcome the vet to contact me and work to address the situation and I will happily update this review accordingly to reflect their follow through, until that time one star.

Just took my kitten rescue in to be vetted for the first time (during the pandemic) and Dr. Sansoucy was absolutely wonderful! Since I couldn’t go inside for the visit, Dr. Sansoucy called me on the phone after looking over Blueberry—while I sat in my car in the parking lot out right front—and spent a good twenty minutes answering all my questions and detailing her evaluation of my newly adopted kitten in a manner that was clear and easy for a lay person like me to understand. She was so gracious and helpful and I really appreciated her thoughtfulness as she even offered perceptive insights and useful suggestions RE the tension and stress that my other (older) cat—used to being the only cat in the house—is exhibiting, since the arrival of the new kitten in our home. In no way did Dr. Sansoucy appear rushed or eager to get off the phone (as many vets probably would after twenty minutes on the phone with the pet’s owner), and through our phone call it was so evident to me how much she genuinely cares and wants the best for her animal patients. Definitely would recommend!!

Wonderful doctor and staff. Pricing seemed very fair for what they had to do. 2 huskies full of porcupine needles. Quick and attentive service. I will be back for less life threatening visits too.

We brought our old dog here who was very sick with cancer. Dr. Katz and his staff made his last weeks with us very comfortable. They were extremely understanding about everything and gave us plenty of time to make decisions about his treatment.

My family has trusted Dr. K for many years. Unlike some others he actually takes the time to keep up on the most current science related to his field. He speaks frankly and never with condescension. He also loves every one of his patients almost as much as their people love them.

Great staff. They were so good with my cat snowball and we are searching for a puppy to add to our family and this will be where we take the pup as well. Even during the pandemic they were great. Reasonable prices and close to home. I'd give 10 stars if I could

My two cats are treated very gently and respectfully at the vet. There are two Drs there: Dr Katz and Dr Sansoucy. Their charges are reasonable the rooms are clean. I’m very happy and confident they are taking good care of my cats.

My dog had an emergency and this place made time to see my pup when no one else would. Other places were reserving urgent care only for current clients (and I was new to the area). The Doc was really smart and thoughtful (Dr Danielle I think? I think she’s the main Vet here), didn’t rush the visit and really gave my pup the necessary time to check her out. So grateful that this place made time to see my pup. My backup was to drive back to NYC on two hours of sleep and lots of coffee and glad I didn’t have to. I’ll be loyal to this place in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend this spot!

The vet and staff here are awesome! Prices are reasonable. I drive 35 minutes to get here from Springfield.

I've been a client at Hampshire Vet for a very long time, 40years and Dr Katz is wonderful, very helpful and caring. Also Dr Sansoucy is very knowledgeable, love her too !

Dr. Katz needs to retire. He misdiagnosed my dog, gave her outdated meds and told us to put her down. Thank god we got a second opinion. Go elsewhere.
