Just moved to the area and was anxious about finding a new vet: one of my dogs is large (100 lbs), has some health problems, and hates every vet without fail. Setting him up with someone new after years of working with one vet was stressful and not something I was looking forward to. But! Today, my worries went away. We saw Dr. Joe and had Chloe as our tech, and they were both amazing, kind, and patient with my two challenging dogs (and my slew of questions and concerns!). We did have to wait over a month for an appointment, but this seems typical for the area/situation with the pandemic. I was allowed to go in with my dogs (one owner per room for vet appointments) and meet Dr. Joe in person, who was amazing, even as my dog clearly did not want to be examined. I am so happy that we have a great vet in our new area!

Went here after getting a notification that our dogs heart worm medication needed to be renewed. After calling and waiting in the parking lot for a half hour I was told that it wouldn’t be ready for another hour and a half. So I decided to come back on my way home from work the next day. Only to have them tell me that I actually needed to bring my dog in for an appointment and that they were booked out for a month+. Well how’s that supposed to work when my animal needs her medicine every month. Hoping she doesn’t get sick in this time thanks for nothing valley Vet

This is a special place, I’ve been bringing my cat here for a decade now and they’ve always given her the best care despite her not so enthusiastic attitude when visiting. You can count on these folks.

I have been taking my cats to VVH after being put off by extremely rude behavior from another place. The staff at VVH are nicer to deal with and very helpful even when they are busy. Dr. Noel Watkins is an experienced, resourcful vet who pointed me to the right treatment after my cat got diagnosed with a very difficult disease.

Brought my cat Milo in for a limp paw, he didn’t put any weight on it before and I was so nervous for him. Dr Joe was the BEST. He was so kind and honest. He 100% wasn’t in it for money. Told me everything that was and wasn’t necessary. Went in thinking I was gonna have a $500+ bill (stressing out about money) ended up being $140. AND they got me in the same day. Milo is already doing sooo much better. I work at Pet Hotel Hadley and always highly recommend valley vet. Thank you guys and especially Dr Joe!

We've been bringing our cats here for years and have also had MANY differ Vets over the years in various states and cities, and VV are prob the best private vets in the Western MA/Hampshire County area. Really kind and consistent. Agree with review above, their front end staff is really great and welcoming, as are the Drs there. Invested in their love for animals and professionalism, it is thee go-to vet in the area. Recommended for sure.

VVH has had wonderful customer service since the very first time I brought my pet. Even when they are exceptionally busy, they answer the phones politely and with a desire to make sure me and my animal are taken care of. I worked with Dr. Joe to get a diagnosis for my cat (it ended up being an autoimmune disorder) and he was kind and thoughtful about the costs and time I would need to spend when getting outside specialists involved. Follow-up has been wonderful, and my cat is doing much better under the care of the VVH staff.

Staff is friendly and the practice is willing to be flexible. I missed an appointment and they got my fur baby seen in a reasonable amount of time the same day! I would take my beloved pets there again for sure :)

As a fairly nervous dog mom, it’s a lot to say that I feel fully confident in Valley Vet’s care. They are thorough, responsive and genuinely care about the animals they service. I was very impressed with my dog’s most recent dental cleaning procedure. They called me promptly to update me on my dog’s status during the procedure to ease any worry and they offer excellent wellness plans for money savings. Dr. Joe is especially great. Within five minutes of examining my dog, he was able to discover that a health condition my dog had been treated for with heavy and expensive allergy meds, was in fact only a yeast condition. It saved my dog a lot of side effects down the road and he is much happier now. I’d recommend Valley Vet to anyone!

I called so many vets during the pandemic for an urgent situation with my very nervous cat- and Valley Vet were the ones who were able to help me out quickly against the odds. The vets and vet techs and front desk staff all truly care about your animals. I appreciate it so much & I am happy to take both of my cats there in the future.

Spent a lot of money with no results. Disappointed. Dr Rote wouldn’t listen to us when we were trying to communicate with her to try different options so we had to switch vets. “Customer is always right” that’s just business. One visit to the new vet and our dog is already doing amazing.

Absolutely love Valley Vet and their staff! Brought my dog here based on a recommendation from a friend. Even though I had taken my dog to other vets in the past, Dr. Lough was the first vet to look at Ella's lump on her belly and call it a mammary tumor. She recommended on that first visit to remove it. Vets at other clinics never informed me that it was actually a tumor. Dr. Lough also took the time to discuss the costs of surgery with me with estimates and what I would most likely need to pay, giving me payment options. With scheduling things, Dr. Rote ended up being the vet to remove the tumor and the follow up care from all the staff was amazing! The tech explained the meds and post-op care really well. The front desk staff called me the day after the surgery (and a few times after that) to see how things were going and were super thorough in addressing any potential problems. Even spoke with Dr. Rote a few times directly on the call to discuss the biopsy results (benign!), and she personally looked at the incision site when we came to remove the stitches. Dr. Lough readily listens to any concerns I have about Ella's health and provides recommendations on treatment, letting me choose what's best for my dog. She's provided wonderful care for Ella's arthritis and anxiety, helping us try out different options and meds until finding something that works for Ella. We also LOVE the wellness plans offered for pets. Ella is a rescue pup who is definitely at least 6 years old so we set up the extended wellness plan to cover all her routine expenses for the year. Definitely a relief for me to just pay a regular monthly charge than have one visit cost hundreds. And the extended office hours are awesome - love that I can schedule an appointment after work and not worry about taking time off to bring my dog to the vet. I always recommend this place to anyone that asks!

The only place I trust to bring my Harley. Not only is Dr.Lough an absolutely amazing vet, the vet techs as well as the front office staff are great as well. Everyone is informative and super friendly and their waiting area is always super clean. If I ever have a concern, they are quick to get us into the office or if I have a general question I’m contacted directly by email. I recommend Valley Vet to everyone I meet in the area, although honestly most people I know already bring their furry friends here.

ry negligent service. This year I took my dog for his annual. He wasn’t seen by the Dr. but for her assistant. The appointment lasted 10 minutes. Soon after it I notice that one of my dog’s teeth's was loose.I decided to take him to another Vet, who diagnosed Mayor Periodontal Disease .He is going to surgery and he’s going to loose 3 of his teeth’s. I’ve been taking my dog there for the last 4 years and they NEVER EVER mention it . I supposed they didn’t even check his mouth...
