We've been bringing our dogs to Gabi for over a year now. After living in multiple cities, I can confidently say she is the best groomer we've ever had. She makes it so easy to schedule and is always accommodating. She's recently groomed our dogs after some health concerns and was great about their safety and making them look great even though their fur was a complete mess. Most importantly, she really loves our dogs and they love her, so I know they're in good hands with her. I never write reviews, but DC Petropolis is really that good.

I love DC Petropolis! Gaby the groomer is wonderful with the dogs and gives the best cuts! People stop me all the time to inquire where I get my toy Schnauzer groomed. He loves going to see Gaby. When I first started bringing him here, she insisted that I bring him by so that he could get acclimated to her and the grooming studio. If you are looking for a place to have your fur baby groomed, I highly recommend DC Petropolis!

I will start by saying I've been to multiple groomers more than once and by far DC Petropolis has exceeded my expectations. Gabby is awesome with my little girl, even in her nervousness. She always on point with her cut, following my wishes....not too short. just right.. I've been very satisfied with her professionalism kindness and extra attention she show my Nellie.

This is an amazing place to get your dog groomed. Gabby is so professional and nice, she does an amazing job and treats our puppy so well, he comes back looking so great and looks forward to visiting every time. Amazing business and I would recommend Petropolis to anyone!

We took our pup Lennox to DC Petropolis for the first time today, and I can't say enough good things about this place. She hasn't had the best experience with grooming in the past, but Gabi took her time with Lennox to make sure she wasn't pushing her too far out of her comfort zone. I can't yet say that she loves going to the groomer, but I feel beyond comfortable with her in Gabi's care and know that she's in good hands! I highly recommend booking your dog an appointment with DC Petropolis.

Gabi is amazing! My Cavachon always comes out with a consistent and perfect cut, and most importantly, happy! At other groomers I was terrified to see my pup’s cut when I picked her up (she usually looked like either a poodle or a rat), but with Gabi I’m always excited! I’ll never bring her anywhere else.

First full groom for my shihtzu + toy poodle mix and Gabi was the BEST and she did such a great job on my pupper :)

Gabi is the absolute best. I’ve been to many groomers in DC before settling at Petropolis. I have a bichon that is extremely high maintenance and requires frequent grooming which takes a lot of time and effort. She always comes out looking flawless and unstressed. I would not trust my dogs with anyone else in town. 1000% Recommend!

We love Gabi's grooming of our Bernedoodle. We have recommended her to all of our friends with doodles.

In this place you won't find just a groomer, I'd say she's a stylist. My dog drags me to this place and that tells me he likes Gaby and enjoy staying at her place. So much peace of mind when leaving him at DCP. I'd give it more stars If I could

An absolute treasure. We were finding it impossible to trim our pup Duke’s nails, so we brought him to Petropolis for his first visit. Not only was he totally at ease with Gabby, but we picked him up with excellent looking nails and a super happy pup. Great pricing and a business owner who clearly cares about the experience for her pup and human clients :) highly recommend!

If you are looking for a groomer for your fur baby and you want someone who is professional, but also warm and easy-going; a salon that is bright, cheerful and super clean, but not stuffy and clinical; and an environment where pets will be safe and secure, but also seem to be having fun; then you need look no further than to Gabi at DC Petropolis on 9th Street, NW. I can’t sing her praises enough and my miniature Dachshund absolutely adores her. I have been taking Buddy to DC Petropolis once or twice a week for about 6 months now. You might think that is a crazy amount to take your dog to the groomer, and I would agree with you. But Buddy has a skin condition that requires him to be bathed twice a week with a medicated shampoo and that shampoo needs to stay on him, lathered up, for 10mins. After several miserable attempts at home I finally took him to Gabi and she readily agreed to help. Initially, mindful that I was paying for something I had done myself for free, I resolved myself to one treatment a week. When Gabi learned that he was supposed to be bathed twice a week she offered to do 2 for the price of 1 every week. I couldn’t let her do that but we agreed on a price that is reasonable and fair and ensures Buddy gets the skin treatments he needs. Now bath time is much less stressful for both of us and he has a fun outing twice a week. So, if you live anywhere close to 9th and O Streets, NW, and you need a groomer, run, don’t walk, to DC Petropolis for great service and a happy pooch. (And, quite frankly, even if you have to hop in the car to drop off your pet, you should do it.) You won’t be sorry and your little one with thank you for it.

Gabby is so incredibly warm and caring I felt very safe leaving my pup with her. When I went to pick her up she not only had a lovely haircut but clearly had fallen in love with Gabby and was very affectionate towards her. I'm so happy I found DC Petropolis!

So happy to have found DC Petropolis! We brought our 14 year old Shih Tzu for grooming after months of not being able to bring her to the groomers. Her hair had gotten so matted but she talked us through the process and made sure we were comfortable with her cut. Our little dog came out looking so cute that we will definitely be returning. Gabby is wonderful and took great care of our 2 dogs. They look and smell so beautiful!

I am from Massachusetts and needed my dog groomed. Brought him to Petco and it was a disaster. They made him look like he had been mauled. I called Gavin and not only did she take him the same day, but fixed the botched Petco “grooming”. She is so patient and kind with the animals and truly loves her job. She is very transparent and you can watch her taking to the dogs when they are being groomed in the front window. I will never go anywhere else.

Gabi did a fantastic job with my Newfypoo. She listened to what I wanted and executed flawlessly—and my dog had a blast! Will definitely be coming back.

Gabriela is fantastic with my dog Roscoe! I have taken roscoe to a few groomers and the vet and no one has been able to trim his nails. Gabi was able to it on the first try and I have been back 4 times and Roscoe is getting more and more comfortable. I appreciate all her help and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog groomer in DC! She is awesome!!

My dog hates getting groomed but Gabi is so fantastic with my pup. She is fantastic, so responsive, and my dog always coming out looking and smelling so fantastic. Highly highly recommend!!

Gabby is amazing. She is so warm right from the beginning and it is obvious that she absolutely adores dogs. My French bulldog, Eugene, really hates water and will let you hear about it during his baths. But he loves Gabby so much that he's excited to visit her for a grooming appointment once a month, even though he knows he's about to get wet. Gabby is really transparent about what services she thinks your dog needs and won't charge you for things (like nail trims) if your dog doesn't need it. I also love that she accepts payments via Venmo and is accessible via text message to schedule appointments and coordinate pick-ups. We are so, so glad we started bringing Eugene here. Gabby is one of the absolute best groomers--and humans--in the DMV area!

I had a wonderful experience with Gabriela and Petropolis DC for my puppy’s first haircut. I absolutely love the cut! I have finally found my DC groomer and I won’t be going to anyone else! Easy and very responsive communication via text. I highly recommend taking your beloved pet here!

Best groomer on the area. I adopted a rescue shih tzu puppy and Gabi has been amazing with him. When I first got him I brought him to petsmart for grooming and they told me he was too difficult, but since bringing him to Gabi I realized the environment just wasn’t right for my pup. DC Petropolis really takes their time with your dog, it’s quieter so dogs don’t feel scared, and Gabi even gave me some tips to practice at home to help get my dog more comfortable with grooming. My little guy comes out of each grooming appointment with the cutest little bandana around his neck looking so handsome. Highly recommend DC Petropolis if you’re looking for a high quality and trustworthy groomer.
