Beyond disappointed and hurt for my daughters. We were approved this morning for a kitten. We called IMMEDIATELY after getting our approval email. The woman on the phone said we were the first to call and the kitten was still available. Their kittens must be adopted in pairs but they had no other kitten available to pair him. So the woman on the phone said she’d call us in an hour once she found him a friend. We called after about 3 hrs. No answer. Called again twice. No answer. Finally I email them and they tell me the kitten has been adopted! My husband calls because we’re very confused at this point. A woman answers and has NO EXPLANATION as to how/why this happened. And she seemed annoyed by my inquiring about how the kitten was adopted and we were the first to call in and were waiting on THEM to send the link so we could pay! This was a horrible way to treat people. If they found applicants with a kitty already in the home to be his companion they could’ve at least had the decency to email us. We waited all day to hear from them expecting to pick our fur baby up just to have him given away and them not even tell us.

Mary hooked me up with a wonderful kitty whom I named Zoey. I lost my girl KeeKee just recently after spending 13 yrs with her. I miss her tremendously and little Zoey is helping me cope with my loss and heavy hardship. Zoey is one happy kitty out of the cage free to run and getting lots of tlc. Thanks to Mary and me. I'm so grateful. Please adopt. Give a supernatural being a home. Love them till the end and forever my follow like people. Thanks

This past Sunday (11/7/21) I had to have my cat (Midnite) euthanized. He had been very sick and had stopped eating and drinking. At approximately 7:00pm I called the Humane Society. I spoke with someone named Vicky. Vicky was very kind, compassionate, caring, and helpful.

These folks do their best to take care of forgotten, lost, or abandoned dogs and cats. The animals are lucky to have them. If you are looking for a pet, look here or at your local animal shelter first.

I took my baby Onyx (7 month old cat) in to get neutered. They did a great job with him, he got sick a day or so after and they took care of that as well. They are a blessing to the community.

Customer service was terrible, ask questions and kept getting referred to website, would not show smaller dog's. I hope the animals are ok with this behavior by the staff

I love when they have their yard sales. You find discounted pets supplies as well as household items. Sometimes you will find surprises like jewelry items for sale.

Excellent. I got my sweet Nina Elizabeth from them. I never thought I'd meet another dog to fill the void of my sweet Shaggy Bartholomew but they helped me find this special girl and the adoption fee was a fair price. They really care where their pets go. Highly recommend.

Application process is flawed and employees lacked the professionalism that we would expect any company and or corporation to have. I took my family to pick a dog out here and after walking down the dog walk we found one that we absolutely loved. We took him for a walk and decided he would be a perfect addition to our family. We asked what the process was for the adoption. We were told to fill out an application for him and that we would be notified within 48 hours. We checked email for two days straight and didn’t hear anything back. So my husband and I decided to go back and follow up. When we arrived we were told that the dog that we selected had another appointment for the same day we were there and that he would likely be adopted by the other couple. My husband and I were both confused because we had done everything that was asked of us and we still hadn’t received a response disapproving the application or any feedback for that matter. When we inquired, we were told that our application was too vague and didn’t not include birthday information for me (which was not a required entry on the form) and we were questioned about being a military family and if we would be a good family due to our service to country. This was completely disappointing and unfortunate. We had to go home and explain to our children that we weren’t going to be bringing the dog that they picked out home.

Called on Monday to get information on spay neuter for my cat . The young lady I spoke with walked me threw how to set myself up an appointment online and gave me a detailed list of pricing and what was included When I asked For her name she said my name is Alexandra and let me know if I had trouble or needed help to give her a call back . Very well educated on the website and has outstanding customer service.

I went with my friend who adopted a cat from here the other day and the front desk staff was great. I asked for the names of these girls in particular to make sure they get the proper shout out. Megan and Krysta were super helpful!!! They had great teamwork and the other front desk staff worked so smoothly. One girl went over the paperwork and the other went over the medication. It's like they've all worked there for years and years! There is a major concern that I have for one of the staff members who works there whom I assume is management. This is why this review is 2 stars. She's extremely rude and obnoxiously loud and all she was doing was yelling at the front desk. It didn't seem like the front desk was doing anything wrong and there weren't many people in the lobby but she was cussing at them in front of customers!!! I assume she was management because she stormed off into what I think was her office and continued to yell loudly for everyone to hear. Her language was very colorful, dropping F bombs, MOTHERF-, and GODD-. This is extremely unprofessional and makes patrons feel uncomfortable. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with her for my adoption. I hope nobody ever has to. Everything else was great, like I said customer service was amazing from Megan and Krysta and now my friend has her forever friend but maybe they should reconsider who they have in positions that are supposed to watch over the staff. I'm sure the staff is uncomfortable too. If you decide to adopt a animal from this facility please ask for Megan or Krysta or really anyone up front but just not the girl who has a bunch of arm tattoos.

4 hours and still waiting for a rabies vaccine. Poorly run clinic with about 75 dogs present and no one seems to care that people and dogs have been standing in line for 4 hours and counting. POORLY RUNAND AND EVEN LESS COMMUNICATION. They claim to care about animals but this make me question their motives.

The building is very clean, we went there to visit one dog that we had seen on their website. The dog didn't get along with our Akbash breed so we left. We were impressed with the dog handlers and the facility. Barney

Thanks to covid you need an appointment just to come in and view animals. And thanks to sheer laziness from the employees you can’t get a response back to even set said appointment. My cat has been depressed since his partner passed a month ago. My goal was to adopt a new cat so he would have someone to really bond with. This shelter is making that terribly hard.

Yesterday I inquired about a guinea pig. After several emails of trying to get information on this animal, the very last email I get from them today told me that the animal already had an adoption pending to a person who has her sister. Now I know why the person at the Humane Society was so dismissive of my inquires, they already had someone picked. The first email reply I received from this person at this organization was very rude and dismissive. The lack of professionalism from this person is shocking to say the least. How many animals are stuck in shelters because of unprofessional people working on adoptions like this person. This was a very discouraging ordeal and I hope for the organizations sake they get a more professional person to work the adoption cases.

If you have a cat or dog, consider yourself family. They are a non kill shelter. They love animals. If your struggling financially to take care of your family member reach out to them and ask for help, they will do their best to help you. No animal shall go hungry ????

Staff were very helpful in my adopting four beautiful parakeets. I have enjoyed these birds immensely since adopting them. It turns out they are two pairs, so the staff was correct in insisting that they all had to be adopted together. Since having them home for a week or so they are laying eggs. This turned into 30 birds since adopting them.

All my pets have been adopted from HSCC, and I know they were loved and well cared for before they joined my family. The staff genuinely wants every animal to find a loving home.

Two days ago I found a 6-8wk kitten on a run. Desperate to get it some sort of medical attention (as it definitely seemed dehydrated, it was riddled with ticks, etc.) as soon as possible, I sent out feelers to all local veterinary hospitals. No local clinics are taking walk-ins at this time, and my cat's vet could not take a scheduled appointment until the end of September; I was told by a 24hr emergency vet that they wouldn't see the kitten unless he was injured. In a last-ditch effort I reached out to HSCC inquiring about a general check-over for the kitten, and within 24hrs of sending my e-mail out, Christine (Exec. Dir.) told me to come on over and let the little guy be seen by the clinic. In a flash, he got a comprehensive exam, got a first round of a de-wormer, tested negative for FeLV, and got a distemper vaccine. The veterinarian (Tracy Steller, I think, is the name I heard) was kind and helpful enough to come out and speak with me in spite of her busy schedule. The cats I had growing up came from HSCC, my current cat came from HSCC, and the little one was able to get help from HSCC... I will always support this organization.
