Love them! My doggo can get scared easily, but he was happy coming out! Honest, and not pushing for unnecessary tests and procedures. Definitely recommend!

I have struggled to find a good, trustworthy vet in Baltimore, but Hillendale turned my luck around. I highly recommend bringing your pet here. The staff was kind, competent, and professional. They didn’t try and upsell me on unnecessary services like other vets in the area have. Highly recommend!

They were soo Pleasant and helpful!! flower had upper respiratory conjunctivitis and needed an emergency visit her eyes were sealed . everywhere else booked for weeks to come but they squeezed us in now she is happy playful and can see thank you so much we shall be back!!

I took my older dog (Omar) to Dr. Ramappa, as he was struggling to walk and seemed to be suffering from severe arthritis. My old vet did not seem to be listening to me, and he had suggested medication without doing any blood testing. What a relief it was to work with Dr. Ramappa. I was taken back immediately, and he listened to all my worries about my pup. He did a thorough exam and blood work. He went over all the medication prescribed, and even called me a day after to check on Omar. I also really appreciated his honesty; I was so worried I would have probably paid for almost any test, but Dr. Ramappa only suggested what was necessary. He will now be the full-time doctor for both my dogs! What a great experience! The staff is awesome as well!

Bought my 2 kitties here for their first visit. Spoke with someone on the phone name Meredith who scheduled us and gave us a first visit price of 186 for both kitties. We even made her repeat it back to us that this was the price for BOTH kittens together. When we arrived we were placed in a room where we waited for the kitties to get done their appt. We spoke briefly with the vet letting him know this was their first visit and talked about food and any concerns I had with them. He then left out to go attend to them.. when the assistant bought them back in she then told me the price would be $306. I was shocked and explained to her the price we was quoted over the phone for both kitties. She then went on to tell me that the person I spoke to was "new" and on vacation. She then said she would go check my folder for my quote because they "always attach it to the fille" .. came back minutes later and mine of course was no where to be found. Go figure right.. I could just feel the dishonesty and the lack of care and I was highly disappointed in this situation. I then asked to speak to the vet who she mentioned was also the owner and he came in and gave me the same story his assistant did. The girl is new. My quote is missing. It's 306. I explained to him I would have called around for better prices had I known I was going to be charged that much because I definitely don't have that. They took absolutely no responsibility for their "new employees" mistake. Mentioned she left out some things that my kitties apparently needed their first visit. And took no responsibility for NOT giving me those additional prices before completing the task on my kittens so that I had the option to say yes or no, I can afford that. I felt totally disrespected and it made my first vet visit with my new babies a complete nightmare. They had no sympathy about it either, just kept saying "she's new" like that excuses the miscommunication. I will definitely be looking for another vet office

I have been loyal customer of Hillendale Animal hospital for over 15 years. Dr. Ramappa and staff are very attentive to furry patients and their owners. I have taken MANY animals to this clinic. All ranging from well visits for yearly shots to sick animals needing many interventions and then the unfortunate loss of a pet. Dr. Ramappa is very conscious of your budget and the quality of life the animal can have after a major illness. The office staff and vet techs are very good at their job. Always a smiling friendly face to see. Make an appt. you'll love them!

Pet ER was going to take our pets leg off and Dr. Ramappa was able to remove the cancer ,and was able to close it up . Our pet is doing great ! Dr. Ramappa puts his heart and soul in every pet that comes into his door . Thank you for giving us more time with our time with our dog . God bless you ????

Really REALLY great staff. So helpful and kind

I just moved to the area and had no idea this place was here. My roommates ferret was in a tragic accident and my friend who was with me told me about this hospital. She ended up passing but the staff here was incredible. They are such sweet, loving and passionate people. I could just feel the love and them caring for me while I was waiting for my roommate to answer, they just let me stay as long as I needed and they are holding her free of charge. They walked us through all the options and just let us take our time. I absolutely loved this place and highly recommend it to anyone that lives in the area. Update: My roommate went to pick her up after them holding her in the freezer for a week and they were once again amazing. He had called in advance to make sure she would be ready and they told him whenever he could come she would be all ready to leave. The staff asked how he was doing to make sure he was okay and had even asked about me. These ladies are absolutely amazing!

The staff and vet are amazing, respectful people. They take care of your animal as if it was there own. From the person that answers the phone to the person that checks you out everybody is so nice. I recommend this place to everyone. They took care of our Oscar with such care. We can't thank them enough.

The doctor was super patient & answered all of my questions. The nurses/attendants were all friendly & accommodating even though we showed up a bit early for our appointment. You can just tell they really care about your pets well being

We've been coming here since the 90s. Great people. Kind and compassionate. They care about your animals. They've been here since forever and most of the staff has been here since it opened. I cannot say enough about them.
