The staff and Vets here are great!!! My fur baby struggled with stomach issues for about a year and I took her to several vets and they would only treat the symptoms. The vets here finally determined she had Irritable bowl syndrome and gave me several treatment options from mild to more aggressive. We started her on meds which we've now tapered down and she's doing great. They are professional and caring. No vet is cheap especially when they have major issues but they were worth every penny for me! Highly recommend!

Had a great experience with the surgery department and the internal medicine. Drs are very attentive and professional they explain everything in details and answer all your questions no matter what. They answered my emails and my phone calls after surgery with care and handled the situation on point. Thank you for taking care of Nio ♥️

The fantastic oncology team, in particular Dr. Gordon, helped us through a difficult diagnosis and plan for our dog. I hope we don't have to return, but if we do, we will be confident that our dog is receiving excellent care.

Please give your vet tech, Karen a raise! She is amazing. We were there on 12/3 after hours when every other vet was at full capacity in the area due to my dog being attacked. 10 minutes later after we checked in, I witnessed an emergent case/unresponsive dog came in, which all their staff rushed to. I can appreciate this as I work in healthcare and understand triage. We waited for several hours due to the emergency, and I was going to understandingly leave and go to my primary in the morning…when Karen helped us shave my goldendoodles bite area and clean it before we left. We were reassured that it didn’t look as bad underneath all the bloody/matted fur. Karen, I can genuinely tell you care and I was so appreciative of you that night, after such a scary attack. Thank you so much again.

I had booked surgery for my dog to have ACL surgery. To my surprise, when I arrived at the facility, the receptionist said I was late and that they possibly could not see my dog due to walk-ins. After a discussion, the receptionist said she would do me a "favor" and take my dog anyway. My dog was later brought out due to him being nervous and not wanting the doctor to touch his leg. I offered to go in with my dog to keep him calm, and I was denied. I also permitted them to sedate my dog, and they said no because they had other walk-ins. The nurse told me to come back another day and that he was just a dog "he would be fine." Then later that day, I was called and told that I was not welcomed anymore due to my dog's "aggression" and my attitude. I was forced to wait two weeks for my dog to get ACL surgery. I am hight disappointed in this facility as well as the way that the nurses treated the situation. There were many ways to correct the problem, and no one wanted to correct it. Please take your dog to another facility!

They're pretty good with emergency room care for your pet. Regrettably I've had to go there twice in a year for my 12 years old Shih Tzu but they nursed her back to health

Thanks to this great staff for taking care of my 13 y/o dog! During an emergency it’s scary watching your fur baby have anything wrong. They did a good job triaging (mine had an emergency but not as urgent as a couple other pets) and when I picked up my dog today he looked so happy. Thank you for caring.

Edit: 4 days ago they commented saying they will get ahold of me directly to discuss. To no one’s surprise, they have not. I will update if they do. I’m so upset. I brought my dog there. She literally can’t walk from a suspected sprain to her hip. First, I waited 3 hours. That’s fine, that’s not why such the low rating but I figured I would warn people of that, though that seems to be the norm for everywhere. They brought her in and said she was shy and that’s why she was shaking. No, she’s not shy. She’s in pain. She has been shaking and panting at home as well because she hurts so bad. They told me she’s not in any pain nor discomfort but tried to tell me she needed $350 X-rays. For what if she’s not in pain?? They brought her out (made her walk) and as soon as she got outside she fell to the ground and wouldn’t get up. I asked if they gave her any medicine because she can’t even walk. They gave her nothing. They did give me pain meds at home but the tech told me “she doesn’t need them”. Now we are home, she’s in excruciating pain, still won’t walk, and now won’t even go potty. I have to take her elsewhere. My toddler could have come up with a better diagnosis than this doctor. Common sense does not seem to be a thing here. Trust me, I know my dog and I know she’s not shaking because “she’s scared and shy.” She’s the most energetic dog ever who loves everyone. Very disappointed I wasted $240. Do better. I do not want a response saying to call. You know Stella. She’s in your system. If you want to make things right then you can call me.

I’m writing this review after one visit to this hospital’s oncology department (I have no experience with the ER and/or other services) and will update if needed. Being a veterinary technician myself, it was really hard to find another hospital for my dog’s oncology visits because I didn’t want to take her anywhere other than the hospital I work at; however unfortunately we don’t have an oncology department and we really needed a specialist. My girl was incidentally diagnosed with stage 1 hemangiosarcoma during a routine ultrasound, followed by a splenectomy performed at my hospital. My last dog passed, very recently and very quickly, from the same cancer. We were devastated to find that our other pup could share the same fate since the cancer has consistently poor/lethal prognoses. Given she already had surgery and is only in stage 1 (which, if you know the cancer, is remarkable), we decided to pursue chemotherapy. It was a tough decision, but I am happy we decided to go through RVRC’s oncology service. Our new doctor, Dr. Tidd, along with her technician, has been nothing but informative, empathetic, and wonderful to my dog and my family. She has helped to give us some hope in a truly terrible situation. It was rough having to do our visit over the phone, because I am so used to being the one working on my own dogs, but we felt comfortable enough that we decided to do her first treatment the same day we had our consult with Dr. Tidd. It’s expensive because it’s a specialty service, but it’s better cost-wise than other places and it’s worth it. Crossing our fingers, we have luckily had no major issues with my dog post-op. Obviously, I will update this review if I need to but I feel as though my experience will remain positive.

This was my first time needing emergency care for my pet. While I didn’t actually go here, the receptionist was outstanding and sent me a list of a bunch of 24 hour hospitals, as the hospital was at capacity, and explained my dog’s situation should be taken care of ASAP. Due to her help, my dog was taken care of right away, and I greatly appreciate her help in my search.

They always take such good care. My dog had to have stomach and intestine surgery. The waiting time is long but the care is the best

I came here about a year ago for my dog having an allergic reaction. I called recently called and the lady said it not an emergency even though hes showing the same signs and symptoms of the first time he caught an allergic reaction. And the first time they said its an emergency and to bring him in immediately but clearly this time its not an emergency. She also said very rude and told me this can be taken care of my regular doctor. Not only that but also told me i cant just “walk in” because of covid with sarcasm. I don’t know what happened cause the first time i went there i was treated very nicely but i definitely will not be going back.

I waited literally for 4 hours in the car to get my dog checked. When they finally did they wanted to keep her overnight when after observing her for the 4 hours I waited; it was evident for me she could survive the night on her own. And then made me repeat the x rays the day after. 500$ and 6 hours wasted. If your dog is not literally dying dont go there.

Excellent care! The staff was very welcoming, kind, compassionate, and professional. The staff ensured to report meticulous and thorough details regarding my animal and her condition as well as listening to my concerns. I would definitely come back if needed, and I would recommend this place to everyone!

I trust this hospital with my dogs’ lives, not only one was saved by ER doctor’s and the Dr. was very honest about my dog’s condition, also very understanding about all my crying but she didnt give up until founding problem. Dermatology department Dr. Hansen diagnosed my dogs skin issues first time after we had seen 3 other hospitals and surgery dept was amazing also and very understanding of my concerns since my dogs are seniors. Communication always great and all personnel is very professional and nice. Totally recommend this hospital. We gave been recurring clients since 2019.

Was told I need to wait there in person to be seen. 5 hrs later they took my dog in because she was next. 1 hr later told it would be 30 mins or so to be seen. 1 hour later the vet saw my dog. 1 hour later she was done. I waited 8 hour, 7 before my dog was even seen. Would be 1 star but the staff was nice.

My puppy yorkie was vomiting so much that she past out. This place refuse to see and take my dog for urgent treatment because my pup was only 5mos old. Really! They don't see puppies? ???? So if you have a puppy don't waste your time on this place. Go elsewhere! One star because of location only.

Incorrectly diagnosed our cat with cancer (doc said she was "97% certain"), doctor recommended we put her down immediately. And by "recommended" I mean "nearly strongholded us to". The doctor was not permissive of what we chose to do with our cat and was very rude and condescending... WHILE WE WERE THINKING OUR CAT WAS ABOUT TO DIE. We took her home despite the doc's insistence, and what do you know! She's slowly getting better, and another doctor says she likely just got into something toxic. We had to ask the doctors for medication to make the cat comfortable when she came home with us, there was no thought or foresight on their part. Our family has suffered emotional damages and our kitty was nearly killed for no reason. DO NOT GO HERE. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.

Our cat is dying fom a bladder obstruction which Dr. Mansell just brushed off as THC consumption which was impossible and refused to run a urinalysis. Thankfully I got a second opinion but he still may pass due to their malpractice and assumptions. And delay of treatment due to trusting this doctor. Avoid this place.

My older dog had some of her favorite people food, she got sick and diarrhea shortly after and lay down and couldn't get up and was unable to stand. We called and rushed her to emergency vet. After thoroughly examining her she was given medication for vomiting and was put on a special diet for a few days. She is doing much better and is back to her old self. They were extremely professional and knowledgeable and very eager to help our pet any way the could. I thought they were great!

They charged us almost double what they quoted us. They approached our dog when we specifically said she had behavioral issues. Amateur hour!

My second time brining my cat for treatment (first time was about four years ago). My thanks to all the doctors, surgeons and staff were involved in taking care of my cat. Surgery went well and all concerned kept me up to date as the situation unfolded. All concerned were very nice and put me at ease during the trying time. My cat is progressing well at home. Will bump up to five stars when my cat completes his recovery without complications. I see other review about pricing. I thought what I was charged was reasonable considering the circumstances. I'm glad I bought Insurance prior to this and we'll see how all that shakes out soon. Again fantastic job everybody!

When I first called about my dog they told me to bring her right in and to fill out the intake form which I did prior to arriving. My dog was struggling to breath and crying in pain. I arrived and called and was told someone would be right out. About 45 min later they came out with a paper intake form and they took it inside but not my dog. After another 15 minutes they tell us that they are at capacity and there was no way she could be seen. This was something that could have been relayed to me before arriving instead of wasting time in the parking lot to just be turned away. Go somewhere else where they will value your pet’s life and your hard earn time and money.

DO NOT GO HERE FOR EMERGENCY CARE! My dog was diagnosed with complete urinary tract obstruction and we were referred here by his primary vet for emergency surgery expecting high quality care. The staff, especially the nurses, receptionists, and technicians are rude and dismissive towards your situation; they roll their eyes, scoff at your situation, act condescending and display deplorable customer service. They give no updates on your pet's condition despite promising so, don't inform you at ALL of the intake process as they keep you waiting in the dark, harass you to complete the intake form, and are quick to demand your money before anything is done. My dog was brought to this emergency room in the morning, and he did not have his EMERGENCY surgery until night. They informed me the surgery would last an hour, and someone would call me after surgery to give updates. HOWEVER, I called 5 times before someone finally responded (3 hours later) stating he was out of surgery and "thought someone had called to update me already". I did not receive any calls from the surgeon nor my dog's on call doctor as promised. After finally getting an update, they updated me on on someone else's dog! They charge extremely high prices despite giving an estimate, they charge and save your card on file (despite request not to) to charge for services you don't even consent to. Summary: don't go here, you're better off paying more responsible ER vet professionals. Despite many reviews stating they'd like to hear about your "experience," there hasn't been any improvement. This horrible place all needs a mandatory training session on compassion and customer service skills.
