The Dog Stay Silver Spring, Maryland

Dogstay is the best daycare and boarding facility in the area, my dog is very well cared for and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about dogs.

My dog just returned from his first boarding stay here, and loved hanging out with all the friendly dogs and just being one of the pack. Everything about the environment at The Dog Stay made him very comfortable from the beginning and, although he has also done well at other dog boarding places, he seemed to relax more quickly here, as if he immediately recognized it as a good place for dogs. I also appreciated the laid back and friendly staff, who were flexible when our plans changed and he didn't need to stay as long as first planned. We definitely hope to return.

We take our dog to get his nails done. They grind his nails so they are smooth. They do an excellent job.

SO convenient to be able to drop off your dog whenever for daycare (during drop-off hours) without a prior reservation. I drive kind of far to come here because this is the only place my dog seems to love.

Lincoln and McCay are great with dogs and run an affordable and safe daycare, kennel, and groomer. My Maggie loves going to the Dog Stay!

Started taking my 40lbs aussie mix here a month ago and he LOVES IT!! All the staff really got to know him and keep a careful eye on him. He loves playing with all the other dogs and seeing all the staff members.

The staff at the dog stay are so warm, friendly, and professional. It’s so clear how much they care for all the puppers! So happy I found a place I can trust with my Penny.

So glad we found the dog stay! We've tried a couple other dog day cares in the area and none of them even come close. Our little pup pulls on the leash with excitement everyday when we drop him off. They just did a whole bunch of renovations and the place looks great. By far the best facility in the area. The Dog Stay is alway clean, has a nice big outdoor space, and the dog-o's are treated very, very, well by the dog-loving owners/staff. They even do grooming so you can pick your pup up with nice new hairdo. Highly recommend.

We have been taking our dog Benny here for almost a year and for a dog with separation anxiety, they made him a second home. The rates are fair and the staff is always friendly. Anytime we leave town Benny will stay with The Dog Stay! 10/10 if you need a dog day care come here !!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Dog Stay! First, Lincoln and McCay are extremely attentive to the dogs. McCay is some kind of dog whisperer! They truly do treat each of the dogs like their own family members. Second, the brothers make sure safety of the dogs is of utmost importance. Their attention to dog personality and play styles always makes me feel extremely comfortable with leaving our furry friends in their care. In addition, they are extremely communicative and always provide updates when I request one including fun videos! The facility has recently been renovated and extremely clean. And a hidden gem, they have a large outdoor yard for the dogs to run around!!! Completely fenced in and so much space for a downtown location. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND boarding and/or daycare with The Dog Stay!

The Dog Stay has been our savior when we have to travel out of town and our dog Jerry cannot come with! The staff is very professional and McCay is super friendly. The pricing is fair and little Jerry doesn’t mind staying the weekend! When my office opens back up, we might consider using their daycare services. 10/10 would recommend anyone looking for dog boarding.

We took our dog to be evaluated after explaining that we wanted him to get more socialized and play with other dogs. He is a 1 year old GSD and we communicated that he has a lot of energy, but is never ever aggressive he just gets very excited to be around other dogs. He was so so gentle while meeting the pups and sniffed until the other two dogs rolled on their backs and batted at him to play. He sniffed their necks and after the continued to engaged him to play he did begin to play by opening his mouth near their necks, in a way I have seen every single dog I have ever encountered do when they play, but he never once bit down or showed his teeth. In fact, all three dogs were wagging their tails and had their ears up while playing, and when my pup would walk away the other two dogs sought him out to continue to play, indicating they were all having a good time. However, the evaluator abruptly ended the evaluation in the middle of them playing and having a good time and said he couldn’t be here and walked us out. This is extremely disheartening, especially after giving all the information we did regarding his play habits and personality before scheduling the appointment. They should really be more clear about the type of dogs they want at their facility, because my dog played in the same way every single other dog I have ever seen plays.

The Dog Stay went above and beyond to provide excellent service for us, and our dog! We are so glad they were able to take great care of us and can't wait to use them again. Thank you again, the Dog Stay!

Lincoln and the crew were great. Sent lots of pics of our dog Rolo while we were away and were very prompt in responding to our questions. Highly recommended.

The Dog Stay has taken care of our doggo for more than a year now. They are professional and very loving to our girl Willow. Every time we get Willow back she is happy, very well groomed, and the products they use leave Willow smelling great for days. We highly recommend The Dog Stay.

I dropped off my 7-month old puppy, Nova, at the dog stay for the week of Christmas. The staff was so kind and accommodating, and when I picked Nova up, it was clear she had enjoyed an active and maturing stint at this kennel. Would definitely recommend this family-owned business to anyone with dog boarding needs. I will personally be using The Dog Stay anytime I have to leave Nova on her own in the future!
