The staff truly loves their work. When I brought my newly-adopted kitten in for an initial exam, we were both warmly welcomed and made to feel right at home. The facility is conveniently located close to Route 29, so getting there is quick and easy. The prices seem reasonable and are straightforward. Highly recommended.

I have taken all of my pets to Fairland Animal Hospital. All got particularly excellent service. The vets are eager to resolve your pets health problem and realize that your pet is your family member. They truly care. It is hard to find a people Dr with these qualities. Well...here is your vet group with all the great qualities and I am simply being honest.

Please don't be fooled by the beautiful building, this place is awful. My dog suffered for years with trouble urinating, leaky faucet and a tender belly. These doctors ordered every test under the sun and billed us almost 5 times with overpriced urinalysis and X-rays. All while charging a clean up fee every time my dog would pee (which he would do because of his condition, he couldn't control it, which no other animal hospital I have been to has ever done). Come to find out, within one visit of another animal hospital and less than $80 paid, my dog had bladder stones...for years... while this animal hospital played with our money and time.

My cat HATES leaving the house but Dr. Gough and the awesome technician (sorry- can't remember his name) put both my cat and me at ease from the moment we arrived. They were incredibly patient and friendly. They made me feel like we were old friends even though it was the first time we met. I am so grateful to know my cat is so well cared for. Really can't recommend them enough.

Fairland animal hospital has been our vet since I moved to the area 25 years ago! Caring staff, knowledgeable, fair prices.

My American Bulldog is 12 years old (which is ancient for a large breed like him). Ludwig has been seen by Dr. Whall and his team since he was a puppy. When needed, the sick care Dr. Whall has provided has been both creative and compassionate, which has kept Ludwig happy and healthy for many years. We are so grateful to have such a terrific veterinary practice nearby and would not hesitate to recommend Fairland Animal Hospital.

BE WARY. Multiple experiences here, and never a positive one. My latest call was for an emergency after a unleashed dog attacked my dog and they said not accepting new patients, even though my dog has been a patient here before. I really wanted to like this place since its so close to home and the reviews seemed good but I should've learned my lesson after I asked for a estimate for spaying a while back. They wouldn't not provide an estimate without paying for a pre estimate exam. The pre estimate exam was $62 (took 3 minutes) and on top of that they recommend another $62 to do bloodwork. the spaying estimate ranged from $385.00 - $462.00 for a 8 lbs. dog. I had to ask for the estimate multiple times, calling and emailing. They said they sent me the estimate but they only sent my dogs previous records back to me! I ended up getting all my dog(s) necessary procedures and exams done elsewhere for a fraction of the cost and with way better service and communication to their patients.

I have been coming to Fairland for years. They have always responded when I needed immediate attention for our pets. They really care about you and your animals.

My significant other came with our dog for a puppy check up, everything was ok with the visit. She left an honest review and planned on coming back. It seems ( especially after reading others reviews) that if you don’t leave a 5 star review, they do no want your business back. She called to come back in for our yearly check up, and was denied with a lame excuse that they are not taking new patients (even though we are existing patients). Will definitely spread the word of what this place is doing to the community.

I could not be more surprised at what an unprofessional business this turned out to be. When our dog was sick we couldn't get an appointment for weeks. However in the last year their service has taken a dive. Our dog is coughing and wheezing and the only appointment they have is two weeks out. We had a similar experience over the summer, but we got “lucky” on the wait list. If you need routine physicals go here, let’s just hope your pet never actually gets sick, or if they do hopefully you can wait 2 weeks. They decided to refuse us service after posting that review which I thought was quite restrained. The backstory, they eventually saw our dog and gave us medicine to treat her. The veterinarian said if that didn't work we could try a different medicine. When I called back to get the other prescription filled, they told me they couldn't fill it until they saw her again in person. The problem was that they didn't have another appointment for more than a month. When I asked to speak to vet, they told me management has decided they will no longer see our animals because of our review. I never imagined that a business I trusted for so long could be this petty. They were amazing when I had to put down my amazing cat of 21 years. I feel betrayed. Pet Parents beware of this place.

We love Fairland Animal Hospital. We've been taking our cat, Marley, there for several years now. Everyone is friendly. The office is spacious. Prices are decent. I never feel pressured into anything. Always have a nice discussion with the vet regarding any of our concerns. Their Covid protocol keeps everyone safe! Highly recommend!

Its always wonderful going here. The exterior of the building honestly brings me so much joy, it's always clean and well maintained. Painted beautifully in a lovely white and green and styled with farm house architecture. As can be expected and hoped for, they are very mindful in taking precautions during these uncertain times. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating and ready to help answer any questions you may have. My pet is always well taken care of, and treated like one of their own pets while in their care. They are always upfront and honest and make you feel as though your questions have been heard and answered.

Always been a place that really cares about people and their pets

I would drive from anywhere in the DMV to go to this place. It is inviting in the doctors are wonderful. I was raised by a veterinarian - I know what I am talking about :)

This is the only place I take my cat for their check ups and treatments. The staff is friendly, the doctors are very straightforward with their assessments and the prices are very reasonable. COVID procedures are simple-Call upon arrival and a staff member will come and take your pet inside. They then will call you after examining your pet, inform you if anything is necessary for them and answer any questions you have. Another staff member will call you for payment information. Finally, they bring your pet out and you're good to go. I'd highly recommend anyone local bring their pets here. It's the best experience I've had with any pet care related place.

Feels like all they care about it money not actually helping animals. Recently moved from out of the area and was looking for a new vet, a 10 minute visit cost almost $200 and neither myself nor my dog liked the vet. Since then our dog needed surgery, we needed post op care and prior to bringing her there I was hoping for an estimate of costs due to the high bill on the first visit- they would not give an estimate without a $70 examination fee. We also needed a refill on medication which our vet in PA called to speak with them about. They rudely told me they are not a pharmacy and do not know anywhere that can fill that medication. Very poor communication aww ton skills. Will not be contacting them again and do not recommend you bring your loved pet there

One of the best Vertinary Hospital in Silver Spring. They are sincere, caring and loving people. Had to put my cat down Blue Diamonds and really showed me compassion and kindness.

Best vet I’ve taken my dog to. They are kind, patient, knowledgeable and take their time with my giant and very fearful dog. So glad we found them!

Easy access and efficient! No contact pet care

We absolutely love this place, incredibly convenient, the staff is wonderful. Dr. Sabrina Ngwira is the best. I highly recommend this place for anyone who wants the highest level of care for their fur baby.

I've been taking my dog here since he was 3 months old (he's 13 now), Roger the cat (RIP) and now Kirk the cat. They've been awesome.

What an absolutely incredible, caring, compassionate, and skilled group of professionals who treat you and your pets like family. I can't speak of them highly enough!
