I love this place. They take very good care of my fur baby.

I recently needed to find a new vet near my house in Crownsville, Maryland. Over the past six years, I have moved around a lot for work with my trusty dog, Tucker, in tow. I can honestly say that Dr. Gendi is the most thorough veterinarian I have encountered over the past six years! I brought my dog in for a physical three weeks ago and he individually evaluated each system (circulatory system, lymphatic system, etc.) and if he noted any abnormalities. Tucker has never had such a thorough medical exam. I brought my dog back today for a teeth cleaning and the results are amazing. Tucker looks like he has puppy teeth again! I was super nervous about putting Tucker under anesthesia, but Dr. Gendi’s team calmed my fears by explaining that this is a very routine procedure any a vet tech would be dedicated to monitoring Tucker the whole time. Thank you Dr. Gendi and team for keeping Tucker healthy!

My senior dog is in great care by Dr Gendi and his team; I'm always recommended care based off my dog's long-term comfort rather than expensive, risky procedures that don't guarantee his happiness in old age. Not only that, but I've recently brought home a puppy and Dr Gendi continues to impress with his wealth of knowledge and experience. My dogs are well cared for, and I feel well cared for too. I'm very grateful to have found SRAH.

Dr. Gendi and his staff are kind and professional and obviously love the animals who come through their doors. It’s so nice to have our pup genuinely greeted and loved on when we arrive; it’s evident to us that everyone who works at Severn River Animal Hospital is there because they love what they do, and our dog is not only comfortable but excited to visit SRAH. But, most importantly, Dr. Gendi saved our dog’s life! He saw us promptly, even during a busy holiday week, and fit us in immediately when it was clear Murphy needed emergency surgery. In the days following, his staff followed up consistently, calling every day to check in and see if we needed anything. The facilities at Severn River Animal Hospital are comfortable, clean, and bright. Dr. Gendi and his staff are warm and welcoming and take their time to communicate carefully and make sure every question we have is answered. We highly recommend Severn River Animal Hospital.

Dr. Gendi and his staff treated our dog Lucy in an emergency while we visiting family in Annapolis. They made us feel completely at home and truly--and very visibly--cared very much about Lucy, walked us through our options, and ultimately performed the necessary surgery with professionalism. While we are not yet ready to move the 700 miles necessary to make Dr. Gendi a regular part of our lives, we are profoundly grateful for his skill and compassion. Thank you!

Dr. Gendi and his staff saved my dog, there’s no other way to put it. They took us in when nobody else would for an emergency and performed emergency surgery shortly after. Our dog had surgery by Dr. Gendi today, the entire experience was above our expectations. Dr. Gendi and staff communicated with us before the procedure and updated us on her condition promptly after he was finished. Answered all our questions and we never felt rushed or a bother. Today, I didn’t feel like our pet was just a number as we have experienced at other animal hospitals in the past. Hailey was super comforting and she even went above and beyond, she sent photos of our pet while in recovery. If you are looking for a compassionate team to care for your animals, give Severn River a try.

They are one of the few vet clinics letting pet parents in the exam room during the pandemic. The doctor has been very helpful with both my cats when it felt almost impossible to get seen anywhere else due to restrictions. It is a great place with friendly staff. If you can't seem to get your pet seen by the other area clinics, definitely seek this one out.

Dr.. Gendi and staff at Severn River Animal Hospital are excellent. My dog was becoming very fearful at my previous vet, needing to be tranquilized for visits. I researched other vet practices and found SRAH to be Fear Free certified. Dr. Gendi and staff took time with my dog to get him comfortable and gave him tons of affection to calm him down. No tranquilzers needed. I was so comfortable with Dr. Gendi after my first viist I agreed to have a dental procedure done on my dog. He recognized the severity of a dental issue that had been missed previously. All procedures were explained clearly, I was notified of my dogs status through out his stay. I am very impressed with this office. This is my new vet!

We just returned from our first visit to Severn River Animal Hospital. The staff and veterinary tech were friendly and professional. Dr. Gendi was wonderful! He took the time to show me lab results, even drew a diagram to explain my pets needs/treatment and he was so patient with my nervous rescue dog. Price was very reasonable too!

Just had a wonderful experience at Vets today. I started out this morning trying to find a Vet. My little furry buddy was having an issue that needed attention. I contacted the vet I used for the past 2 years and they were booked up (I could not believe they would not fit us in). Now, what do I do? As luck would have it, I found the number for the Severn River Animal Hospital (SRAH). I called them. They offered a drop off option and they would fit us in. I was so thankful that they agreed to help. I loaded up and off we went. Location was easy to find. It turned out that we didn’t have to wait - they took us right in. After the exam, x-rays, detailed conversation, and some meds - we were back home within the hour (can you believe that)! Everyone was very nice and treated my furry buddy with tender loving care. Dr. Gendi does a great job for my dogs. Appointments are prompt and I am very happy with the service.

Dr. Gendi and the staff at Severn River Animal Hospital are so compassionate, attentive and responsive. I had an emergency with my 9 week old puppy and they fit me in immediately. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they were to me and more importantly my puppy.

Always a great experience. We have been with Dr. Ghendi since my dog was 8 weeks old. He goes above and beyond for us everytime. The staff is very efficient, personal and profession. Best vets in the area!!!

Dr. Gendi and the ENTIRE staff are outstanding. I highly recommend this office if you are looking for a veterinarian in the area. This is not our regular vet, however, our youngest dog needed to be seen same day, she had a possible UTI and was VERY uncomfortable. This amazing office got us on the schedule that same day. They were VERY thorough and explained every procedure/test they were doing to properly diagnose our dog. They kept in contact with us during the entire appointment and Dr. Gendi shares all the information he has found with you, in person. We had to have x-rays done and he shared the x-rays with us on his phone so we could see and he could explain what he was seeing. I cannot thank this office enough for treating us and our dog as though we have been long time clients. I also drained my cars battery by accident waiting (just had to have the radio on) and one of the office staff brought her truck over to give us jump start. That is above and beyond what they needed to do! Kudos to this entire office for caring about everybody in our family!

My baby kitty was having accidents outside of her box so I knew something was not right. I was fed up with the other vet we had been going to which never seemed to fix our problems, so I decided to give this vet a try since they were much closer. I took my little girl in to see the vet and Dr. Ghendi discovered that she had a UTI on top of other issues which the other vet clinic never even caught! Dr. Ghendi even took the time to explain to me what was going on, what we could expect, what he can do and what we should do moving forward. I really appreciated the attentiveness of him and his staff. Everyone there was extremely friendly and professional and took really good care of my baby girl. After providing her the treatments that Dr. Ghendi prescribed her, I noticed the LIFE of my kitten come back to her! She was so tired and quiet before when she clearly wasn’t feeling well, but now she’s back to her talkative, happy, playful normal self and I couldn’t be more grateful to Dr. Ghendi and his staff! They even called me to check on how my little girl was doing and I really appreciate that. I would 11/10 recommend this vet to anyone in the area!! We will definitely be coming here from now on. We had such an amazing experience at this practice. Dr. Ghendi is exceptional and his staff was very caring as well. He worked efficiently and with careful attention to my dog’s needs. He also kept us informed of all the details of the procedure with my dog and tended to all the questions I had. I felt very secure knowing my dog was in good hands here.

We had an excellent experience with Dr. Gendi and the Severn River Animal Hospital staff. Beth could not have been nicer on the telephone and assistant, Melissa, was great taking our large dog from our car into the vet and assisting with questions. The staff added an emergency appointment for our dog when he had an eye injury which saved us from going to an after hours animal hospital. Dr. Gendi was very clear when he came out to the car (due to COVID) to explain his diagnosis and treatment plan. He even then called us on the phone over the weekend to check on our dog. We had been to this office a few years ago when there was a different vet, and had not had the best experiences resulting to us changing vets to one in Annapolis. We are glad we met the current vet and staff and are planning to switch our dog's care back to this office!

Dr. Gendi and his staff have been wonderful to us and our fur baby Frankie (cat)! We couldn't find anyone to see Frankie on a Saturday who had severe dental problems. Dr. Gendi's office gave us an appointment the same day! We are new clients and a hour away as well! Very, very thankful to all of the staff and Dr. Gendi at Severn River Animal Hospital! Thank you! Thank you! Frankie had surgery and was treated like a king there! Very thorough and professional. They really care and have a passion for all they do! We couldn't be happier! We just wish this practice was closer to us.

Excellent Cat Friendly Practice!! After seeing several vets in the area, Dr. Gendi was the first vet I found that took my cats' health seriously. Thanks to his care, we were able to get the critical treatment needed for my cat, Napoleon.

This practice is awesome with cats. I have 2 cats age 11 and 12 years old. They both needed dental care which included extractions. Dr Gendi explained everything in detail before and after the procedures. He took time to answer all my questions. His care was exceptional. I am so glad we were referred to him. His assistant Melissa was just as caring. They really understood the differences between cats and dogs. Their office staff Beth and Lisa were always pleasant and helpful.

We have been with Severn River Animal Hospital for several years now, first with Dr. Lee and now with Dr. Ghendi. Both doctors and all the staff have been absolutely amazing. We think of them as part of our family. We can always count on accurate diagnoses, prompt and high quality care, and excellent referrals for specialty services.

I’ve recently brought two new kittens in to see Dr. Gendi. Unfortunately, one of my new kittens came to me sick from the breeder. Dr. Gendi has been extremely compassionate, responsive, and very professional as he strives to provide to best care possible to his furry patients. He has also been very patient and understanding as I have been very anxious and full of questions. He has definitely exceeded our expectations!!! ????

I had a wonderful visit at Severn River Animal Hospital today! Dr. Gendi and his staff drove from their homes for an emergency visit to take care of my dog. This gesture showed me pure dedication and love for my dog. Dr. Gendi was extremely thorough with my dog's x-rays and took the time to explain what we were seeing in the images. They were efficient with his diagnosis and reasonable in price for it being an emergency visit.

By far the best experience that I and my pup received from a Vet's clinic. The staff is highly professional, the Vet Dr. Gendi is really involved in the care of the pup and have been in top of all the clinical needs. I have recommend this place to family and friends alike. You can't go wedding with this clinic.
