We have been taking our Dogs to North Laurel Animal Hospital for more than 30 years! The quality of care is excellent and Dr. Bob has a ton of experience.

The entire staff are so welcoming and nice. I have had the pleasure of having Dr. Bob care for my dog and also Dr. Steere, who is now full time here. I couldn’t be more excited! She is amazing with my dog and truly cares about the care they give, not just at that moment but long term as well. Love, love, love NLAH!!!

Dr. Bob and the staff are awesome. They treated my cat Luna with such love and care. This was our first visit since I just adopted her and now I consider Dr. Bob her vet.

Not only is North Laurel Animal Hospital diligence with my pet care but they truly treat each animal as if they were theirs. Highly recommend!

The people here are friendly and seem to know what they're doing, but they really try to gouge you, and I don't mean that in a "they're kind of pricey" way; they legitimately seek to take advantage of their customers. Two vet visits for the same ear infection cost us over $600, and they wanted us to schedule a third visit to come back again. After the $350 price tag for the initial visit I assumed that the subsequent check ins would be included. This was a big mistake as after our second visit I was provided with a bill for an additional $250. We would not have returned for the second visit if we had any idea that they were going to charge us like they did. If you look online (and I can confirm from my own past experience) the average cost to treat an ear infection ranges from $150-300. We are really disappointed in NLAH and feel taken advantage of. This isn't limited to their ear infection treatment; their course of puppy shots were ~50% more expensive than others, something we found out after the fact much to our chagrin. We are new to the area and did not know any better, but hopefully this review will help others to stay away. These folks should really be ashamed of themselves. If they are going to charge such outrageous prices they should tell you before you've had the service provided and are locked in to their price. We will be advising everyone in our community to steer clear.

Doctor Bob is the bomb. He handled My overly social pup very well. Helped us treat his problems. And we're hooked.

Excellent staff from the receptionist to the techs and the dining criteria. All were so kind and patient and caring with my pets. If I could give them 10 stars s I would. Highly recommend them.

I've been a client of NLAH for about 20 years, and they have cared for all of our cats and dogs during that time (6 total!). Dr. Bob has always given good advice without pushing needless procedures. He has seen it all and will walk you through options for your pet's best outcome. He will partner with specialists as needed to make sure your pet is always in good hands. He is honest and compassionate towards all creatures, furry and human! I recommend Dr. Bob and his team at NLAH without hesitation.

At 8 am on a Saturday morning, I phoned with a spontaneous request for a refill of my dog Magic's medication. I mentioned that I was heading out of town for the day but that I could be there in 5 minutes to pick it up. Doctor Cohn and staff had it ready and waiting for me. This experience is 100% consistent with the service and care my dog has received since becoming a patient of North Laurel Animal Hospital. Thank you so much! Magic and I think the world of your entire staff.

I have been taking my puppy to Dr. Bob since she was 8 weeks old. I like knowing my puppy will see the same vet for every visit. Dr. Bob takes the time to answer all questions and if you have any concerns, he always has the time to discuss with you either in person or on the phone. Special thank you to Missy who took care of my pup today when I brought her in for spaying. I have recommended North Laurel Animal Hospital to others and will continue to do so.

It broke my heart to leave my House Paws vet when I moved to Laurel, MD. I am so glad to have found Dr. Bob at NLAH. He is compassionate, very responsive, communicates test results quickly and clearly, and is clearly an animal lover. I just wish he would clone himself so we'd have an endless supply of Dr. Bobs.

This animal hospital was a terrific choice for my new Kitty, Nicky. They gave him a thorough check up, trimmed his nails and the prices were fair. The doctor called and answered my questions and overall I would highly recommend.

I love Dr. Bob and his Staff! They are so professional, been with them for years. They're always very patient and thorough. They even follow up to make sure that everything is ok. I've had experience with other places, but Dr. Bob is the best, hands down! :)

I cannot thank Dr. Bob and Dr. Russo and their team enough for their incredible work. Our cat Lauren suddenly went blind last week. Thanks to the quick and attentive care she recieved, her eyesight was back to normal in 48 hours. They have a customer for life.

I have a 13 year old schnauzer who is much like a grumpy, old man. NLAH vets and technicians love on him, spoil him and tell he is wonderful. Some of his issues have been complicated - I have never had to second guess his care. I am very appreciative.

Dr. Bob and his staff are the best...I have been taking my cats to Dr. Bob for over 30 years. Dr. Bob and his staff go above and beyond in caring for you and your pets....I want to say thank you all for everything you do.....

The staff is very nice and kind.... that is all you get from this Vet. If you go here please be careful about the fees and what you are paying for. I feel shocked to see that they charge double the amount for medications for your pets. I looked for medication they were prescribing to my dog and found it for 30 dollars while they were charging $60+..... I feel like a fool because I should of checked previous medications they provided for my dog. I am well aware I've spent thousands of dollars at this location and regret taking my pet here because of the lack of communication on what needs to be done. The money hungry Dr. Bob clearly does not care for your pet but what's best for his pocket.

Dr Bob and his staff are some of the best animal caretakers in town. They go above and beyond to make certain your pet is safe, healthy and continues to stay that way. Direct personal care that extends beyond the visit is what makes North Laurel stand above the other veteranarians i have used in the past. Not the least expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Good quality of care and service, but you’ll pay through the nose for it. If you’re not independently wealthy, make sure you ask how much every procedure and new test that they come up with will cost you. $1100 total for a neuter with no complications is preposterous.

I was able to get an appointment as a new patient within a single business day. The staff are very nice and efficient. Dr. Russo was gentle with my nervous pup. He called a couple days later to make sure the minor issue that was being treated was clearing up. They also sent a welcome to the practice card in the mail. Impressed with their professionalism and genuine caring. Other patients were lovely too. Feels like family.

Can’t say enough good things about this practice and Dr. Bob, himself. I took my very sick diabetic dog, who also has inflammatory bowel disease, in to see him. I thought for sure I’d lose my dog, but he ended up saving my boy’s life. Dr. Bob takes the time to talk to me about every aspect of my dog’s care. He’s also not afraid to step outside the box and be proactive in treating sick animals, and he reaches out to his clients to check up on pets. I highly recommend this practice.

When I arrived for my puppy’s initial appointment the door was locked. Two ladies sitting inside the place see me standing outside with my son and my dog in my hand and I actually had to knock to get someone to answer the door. Finally, when one of them answers the door she acknowledges knowing who I am and my dogs name. She then tells me, for the first time, because of the Pandemic they are not allowing people in with their pets. Really?!! She concluded this horrible experience by rudely asking me, “do I want the service or not?” I could not believe that that information was not provided in the phone call to set the appointment up. More importantly, how can a medical provider/scientists expect to administer care to someone’s pet, on an initial visit, and exclude the owner from the process. This practice is not consistent with the State’s reopening guidelines and this veterinary does not appear to be upholding the Hippocratic oath he took when he received his license (assuming he has one). Very disappointed.
