Dr Andrew is the best. He is so kind and spends time with my dog. My dog loves to be here and even jumps on Dr Andrew

Love the prompt service and kindness of the vets, techs and counter staff. My family/friends have been going here for years and I’m glad I started taking my little old man here :^) thanks!

I have to respond to a review referring to the lack of diversity of the staff here. I have to wonder about her judgement of staff performance when her assumptions about diversity were so erroneous. I know the diversity she seeks- I, too, am a POC who rejoices in representation and diversity. I am also the mother of one of those "non diverse" staff members. If someone's criteria for judging race is so limited (speaking of expanding your views on diversity), then I'm forced to question your judgement regarding your visit. You never did mention how they treated your "uncooperative" dog. Did they make an effort to accommodate you? I'd bet someone there- one of those diverse vet techs, maybe, could have recommended a diverse selection of trainers to help with that. They're good that way.

The staff was very friendly it was a very nice friendly atmosphere. Doctor Shelley Howard is a is a phenomenal veterinarian. Sadly I had to have my beautiful dog put down and the staff was amazing. Highly recommended

Terrible customer service. My dog's health required routine care of a specialist and Carney became secondary just for urinary incontinence management and well visits. They refused to contact the specialist to obtain records related to recent blood work and would withhold medication refills requiring unnecessary visits, stress and duplicate costs related to care. Not the type of care anyone should have to deal with when a dog is in its final stages of life.

The receptionists are very warm and inviting, but Vet Tech-Mary Kate exhibited a horrible disposition. Thank goodness for Vet Tech-Laura for buffering her client interactions. Dr. Andrew, Veterinarian, is not very personable. He will look you in the face and not speak. I had to get an annual physical exam for my dog, prior to his bloodwork. Well, b/c my dog was not very cooperative, he did not render the physical exam—yet, I was still charged the exam fee of $35. There seems to be an over abundance of vet techs, but there is only one veterinarian. That veterinarian is Dr. Andrew. There are absolutely NO PEOPLE OF COLOR on staff there, yet they serve the public. I have been coming to this Animal Hospital for quite some time, and I have encouraged patronage to this establishment. I am responsible for getting Carney Animal Hospital at least four new clients with the hopes of opening up the eyes of Carney’s management team to hire People of Color to be more representative of the clients they serve. I feel that Carney Animal Hospital has great potential. But, there workforce must be more inclusive. I have noticed workers of the LGBTQ community, but the were ethnically monochromatic (all Caucasian). One should be as open to the ethnic mixing of their workforce as they are to the heterogeneity of their client-base.

My dog had a appointment yesterday 10/22/21 Just a check up along with a shot and nail clipping. Even with her being very anxious Dr. Andrew’s and his team were absolutely amazing. Definitely recommending him to others and will always request him!! He made me and my husband feel 1000% comfortable with him and answered any and every question we had!!

The WORST VET CLINIC IN TOWN I PROMISE YOU IF YOU COME HERE YOU WILL BE TREATED LIKE GARBAGE AND YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTED/ Unprofessional people that answer the phone and hang up on you like I was just hung up on by a woman who’s job it is to answer questions and make appointments, I wish I could leave zero stars ! AWFUL

Carney Animal Hospital is the best vet I've ever been to, and I've been to dozens over the years in this area. Although wait times can be long, it is testament to their impeccable service and dedication to the clients. There's no place better where I can trust them fully with my animals care. Would recommend their services to any friends or family. It's about an hour and a half drive for me now, but I still go there for procedures because of the level of trust and patient care I've come to expect and value.

My cat needed her teeth out the hospital in York said it would be between 2000$ and 3.500$ Carney Animal Hospital did it for $700.50, and did an AWSOME job!!

The doctors and staff are great! Kind to animal and human. Efficient, provide comprehensive descriptions if there are problems, gives suggestions for future elective care, and the dog loves them.

Let me start by saying we have been bringing our dog(s) to this location for the last 15 years. We (my husband and I) have seen both father and son with absolutely no complains. Our last encounter was absolutely horrifying with the new vet. When I first called to discuss the poor quality of life and get an assessment of our eldest dog (who is now 14) I felt uncomfortable with the phone call from the start. I felt the backlash as I was questioned if our dog was “even a client there” and to “hold up- is this the 10 year old“. I was caught off guard, as this is clearly a vulnerable conversation to have about your family pet you love and adore. I said yes, but she is actually 14. I started to explain she doesn’t want to play, has more bad days than good, seems depressed, needs motivation to move..and was cut off. Ok we will evaluate her. We made the appointment. I thought this assessment would help my husband feel some certainty that It was probably time. My husband took her. That experience was quite awful as well. As if the phone conversation wasn’t enough to put a bad taste in our mouth. My husband calls me about to be in tears that they did not ask him anything about her but they gave him a large bill to assess her skin and do all sorts of testing. He asked me if there was some kind of misunderstanding on why she was coming in. What I find more disturbing than anything is that they made my husband feel like our dog has been neglected. If they were to look in her chart and see we have been there over and over again- treating her and her skin issues for years, they would be highly mistaken. She has seen a dermatologist/specialist. The previous vets have supplied us with injections, medications, and diet changes. Our dog is allergic to grass and dust. No one took the time to ask him anything. We had just purchased our flea and tick medication from there for both of our dogs. Neglect? Really? This dog is my husbands best friend- the dog who got him through so many stages of life. The new vet should be ASHAMED of herself. This nightmare continues.. During such a terribly vulnerable time, we had animal services come to our door. Could you imagine-to top this whole experience off?! I know you can’t see me or our dog or my husband through this review to be the judge. But I will just tell you, this has been traumatic. We love our girl, and she is cared for beyond belief. We will never be a customer here ever again. We will never recommend someone go here. This is not the way to address this situation. Communication was poor. New vet- please listen and ask questions next time so no one has to feel this way about their beloved family pets.

I had a appointment to get my dogs nails cut at 5:00 and I have been waiting now for 53 min for someone to come and get him. What was the purpose of making a appointment . I have seen people come after me have their dogs go in and come out. Smh

Our dachshund has been coming here since 2007; suddenly they cant find her records. We're leaving. Since Dr Ed retired, this place as gone to the dogs, no pun intended. I'm sure that laying off most of the old staff to hire newer less experienced personnel didn't help. We're going to a different vet...

I take all of my pets here. The prices are more than fair, and they treat the animals like family, not just a number. They take the time to answer all of our questions and address our concerns every time, and most importantly they don't make you feel rushed or like you are inconveniencing them. 5 stars just doesn't do justice to how perfect they are. If you TRULY love your furry companions, Carney Animal Hospital is where you want to have them seen.

I've been coming here for years, friendly and helpful staff. Never any issues getting a last minute appointment and the doctor is casual and really has your pets best interest at heart.

Best vets and support staff in Baltimore! Always compassionate and have your pet's best interest and health at heart. Have been taking our pets to CAH for over 20 years and my parents took theirs there in the 60's and 70's! We even moved to Harford County, almost at the PA line and we still bring our dogs to Carney! We just love them!

Just took my dog last week. They come get your pet from the car right now but they were still punctual. The doctor and tech were great, do they call them techs or nurses? Anyways, both came out to discuss the visit and didn't rush me. My dog is feeling much better.
