Great staff, great clinic, excellent service!! And surprisingly enough, the prices are better than my previous vet. No names, but they are yet to reopen from some fire damage.

We needed to have our dog seen since our vet's office was closed due to a fire. They got us in within 24 hours and handled our high-anxiety dog really well. Super friendly and accommodating team!

Recently had a pet emergency before our honeymoon. They fit us in early in the morning. They were very helpful and really kind. We will be going here for all of our future vet services!

They prescribed meds for my dog on Friday. They did not work. It's Monday and they CANNOT see him until Friday. What kind of vet would not see him right away?

I had previously brought my two dogs to this location for nearly three years. One was a puppy they saw since she was a few months old, and had no issues until a different vet saw her, got in her face and then threatened to sedate and muzzle her because she barked at her. I nearly left then, but was able to complete the visit with no other issues. During COVID, my shepherd (same dog as the prior issue) was getting spayed. They didn’t communicate the timeline required for her secondary visit - little did I know it was supposed to be several weeks after. She ended up having a stitch not dissolve and took weeks to heal but they recommended at home treatment first (she is high anxiety at the vet), and by the time I had my second dogs annual visit, the stitch still had not healed. I brought images of the issue and asked if I could bring her for her post op visit. That was already included in the spay price. They said it would be a new visit cost because of the time that had passed (a month and a half at this point). Frustrated, we continued at home treatment. After several more weeks it finally healed, no thanks to them. We then adopted a third dog. I’d called before we adopted her and spoke to them about getting flea/tick/heartworm meds as all of her shots and checkup had just been done a week prior to her adoption. I was told with the records that wouldn’t be an issue. So I went to pickup all three medications only to be denied hers because they hadn’t seen her before. Luckily my other dog is in the same weight class and I just ordered double because I refused to pay a vet visit when she had just been seen at another vet prior to adoption. The final straw? My high anxiety shepherd is in need for her third year annual visit. I couldn’t get an appointment on her due date of 6/25, and they were booked out over a month. I’d already started taking our other two to a different vet but Our shepherd gets very car sick and the drive to prince frederick is rough on her so I considered keeping her there, but after everything that’s happened I am changing her too. I called to get her prescription refilled for the visit Friday in prince frederick, and was told they would not fill the prescription because they haven’t seen her for her annual visit. I explained that even IF I was bringing her back, she NEEDS that medication to be able to handle coming to the vet and not being such a nervous and anxiety ridden mess…. So how does it make sense to deny her medication that they KNOW has made her visits there so much smoother and comfortable. They had no answer. If I could give a zero? I would. I will never be back, and I have several friends and family switching to Prince Frederick Animal Hospital - I suggest everyone reading this does the same.

Dr. Lisa Marsico almost killed my 14-year-old cat. She caused my cat to suffer terribly and I had to take her to a specialty hospital that cost me $10K. This clinic might be good, but if you love your pet, steer clear of Lisa Marsico!

Friendly professional staff ushered me into the practice with great care. The Doctor was caring and attentive, listened to me, and provided a clear explanation of the care my pet needs.

If your dog has been previously diagnosed with any condition by another vet clinic such as PAWS in indian head, MD this place won't except thousands and thousands of dollars worth of diagnosed problems. They'd rather you start all over and spend that same amount at they're office instead. I'll drive the extra hour back to PAWS.

The Staff and Dr. Marsico are amazing! They take time, they are responsive to both owner and pet needs and always take care of our furry friends. They always have the best things to say about your pet, and they make sure to be up to date on the latest and greatest in the pet health care world. Highly Recommend!

I trust my 2 babies with the staff and Dr. Marsico. They not only love my cats but I see how sweet they are to every pet that comes through their door. I hate when I have to leave one of them but it's not as bad when you leave them with people you trust. I trust Chesapeake Animal Clinic.

We've been bringing our animals to CAC since the summer of 2000. A few pets and some different faces later and we still bring our pets to CAC. I know they aren't the least expensive, but I firmly believe I got my money's worth here. And they've always ALWAYS offered to work with me on payments, always!! I absolutely love the vet techs at CAC and I've found that the vet's there are top notch and are truly dedicated to the very best attention and care of each and every single critter they see. This is money well spent and they are hands down one of the best veterinary clinics in the D.C. metro and state of Maryland. There is no one else for my fur babies.

we always took our pets Jack &chichi the cat and dog to this vet and its awesome they knew us and our pets and they are addressing the problems immediately with our pets I always recommend them, its just last time with the covid 19 new thing to pick your dog and you wait outside the nurse whom came to picked up our pet was unfriendly and frown she seems upset even my husband greeting her and she turn her face the other side and this was our first experience with that from all our 6 years with them

Have always liked Dr Giuffre a lot. Very nice vet. Doesn't pressure you into treatment you don't need. Honest and great sense of humor to boot. Unfortunately, Dr Guiffre has moved to Montana. Update 12/10/20 - Went to get routine checkup and vaccine boosters. They had run out of rabies vaccines. What vet runs out of rabies vaccines??? They said they’d call us when they got more so we could come back. Never called. We called them back to inquire a few weeks later. Also insisted they use a new phone number to reach us. Which number do you think they repeatedly called? The old number. They seem to be very unorganized and in need of some management.

Made the trip from DC based on a recommendation. Good decision. Took about the same time as it did to cross town to the prior vet. Compassionate, professional people with ears that hear your conversation instead of an automatic mainstream toward expensive tests. Symptomatic treatment with immediate response from my pet. Good follow up and monitoring after treatment. I appreciate and trust these folks.

I went in for an xray as my 16 year old dog hurt her paw, and I wanted to make sure it wasn't fractured or broken, Instead they took her blood work and changed me 174 dollars for it. On the discharge paper they said I should bring her back in for an xray!
