We had an unexpected event with our almost 7 year old pet(family member). They were accommodating and extremely caring, that helped the whole process.

Great staff. Doctor communicated well and worked with me.

Got us in quickly when we had a pet emergency during duty hours.

If I could give 10 stars I would. I’m not a patient of the hospital. However, the entire staff treated us as such. My nearly 18 year furbaby had to be laid to rest. I called and the receptionist was very caring when I explained needing to say goodbye to Sebastian. They accommodated my schedule. Out of 3 other locations they were able to get me in within 2 days. The day of I was running behind terribly for my appt on 11/05/21 and the staff still showed so much compassion and understanding. I may never get another dog but if I do I would chose Calvert as my veterinarian without hesitation. If your can be that welcoming and I’m not a patient I can only imagine the relationship if I were. I cannot ever replay them for treating me in such a manner. So I leave this review hoping it’s a small gesture of my enormous gratitude.

had to get a new veterinarian because thay would not call my dogs prescription in and my dog needs it to stay alive all thay care about is money and not your pet

Best vets office in calvert county. Front desk is incredibly helpful and the vets are amazing as well. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

The staff at Calvert Animal Hospital are friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. I feel that they've always put their best foot forward taking care of my dog.

They are amazing. I could write a super long review explaining why but instead I’ll just say, it’s obvious that they care about the pets that come through their doors, they deliver very good care and they don’t try to empty your wallet with stuff that isn’t necessary. I take all three of my dogs there and I won’t take them anywhere else around here.

Doctor Stotler is amazing. He is a great vet & takes his time when treating my dog & moms cats. We’ve been coming here for over 8 years.

Dr. Stotler is an amazing vet who is eager to please and find the best course of treatment for my dogs. Dr. Brown was a hard act to follow tho. I miss him! Prices are reasonable and vets are compassionate. My friend in Northern VA was going to pay $700 to have her dog's teeth cleaned. Dr. Stotler picked the plaque off with his fingers and sent her home for free!!

I have been an avid supporter of Calvert Animal Hospital services for about 30 years. And, I'm not exactly sure if I can point the finger at COVID for negative changes in business operations over this past year, but getting life-threatening emergency appointments has been impossible, and the delay in requesting and getting a scheduled appointment has also gone awry. I lost one dog in commute to Bowie for an emergency, because we couldn't be fit into the schedule and I just happened to have an antibiotic that I attribute to saving my other 14 year old last Thursday because I couldn't get an appointment until this Monday, even when I explained the trouble breathing urgency. The young staff at the desk seem to lack understanding and/or empathy for animals needing immediate attention. Very disappointed.

all around good service I was just disappointed in the lack of communication about what to expect when giving my dog the dewormer.

Staff took safety precautions & the vet was very knowledgeable

They are either very disorganized or they lack communication. We have a Guiding Eyes dog and they didn't want to bill them but they didn't say that on the phone when we made the appointment and they had billed for the prev visit. Took over one hour for only 2 shots. Then the receipt was wrong with somebody else's name and info so we had to wait even longer for them to fix it so we could get reimbursed by Guiding Eyes.

Client of over thirty years, first with DrBrown and continued after his retirement. Disappointed on more than one occasion with new drs and staff inconsistencies in diagnosis lipoma needed immediate removal according to one, non issues according to other; wait times are awful. Had an emergency this morning with our dog, called requesting an emergency appointment, informed drs schedule was full but they would contact dr to see if they could/would add our pet in distress.as we waited for return call we contacted Dunkirk Animal Hospital who said they would see us immediately as the receptionist could hear our desperation and our pets labored breathing. Upon arrival at DAH they came out to see our very large dog in obvious distress. Took her in immediately, unfortunately, there was little to be done as she was actively dying. Dr and staff at DAH were honest and compassionate , unlike the staff at CAH who when told that we had found a facility who could see our pet in a timely fashion gave attitude when asked to fax records over to DAH.
