Excellent care. Even in emergency situations. Expensive.

I called as a new customer for an appointment for our cat that we had just adopted. When I mentioned that I suspected she had an upper respiratory infection, they have me a same-day appointment! The staff was friendly and honest, and the vet even came to my car (due to COVID, only staff were allowed inside) to talk me through what they found and next steps. A week of antibiotics later, our girl is feeling way better and so much more active! Very thankful for Schulmeyer for their quick actions, especially since many vets weren't even taking new customers!!

This animal hospital always makes sure you can get an appointment as quickly as possible. They are so kind and understanding and they give my Leon the best care possible.

Our family has been traveling full time with work for almost 6 years. We must say that this Veterinarian is the best we have encountered! From the professionalism on the front end and thoroughness on the back side we always leave and feel our animals recieved the best treatment possible. I have been going here for 15 years and always have amazing service. My favorite vet by far. Always recommend others bring their animals here. Very strict on Covid protocols and truly passionate about the animals in their care.

I cannot begin to explain how thankful I am for finding Dr. Schulmeyer's practice! I came to him about 3-4 years ago after jumping from vet to vet because my dog has a liver shunt and everywhere wanted to push surgery when it was already very risky. (I also had a previous vet not treat an eye ulcer and my dog could've went blind) Dr. Schulmeyer didn't push for anything I didn't want and he ended up putting my dog on a special diet and liver medication that could (and has given) her a quality of life just as long as if she were to have the surgery. Anytime I call with an emergency or even a simple question, the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I just had to take her in for emergency surgery for pyometra last week and with getting the price range upfront before the surgery, the overall cost ended up being just below the lower price we were given. I've been to other vets that cost an arm and a leg (and really only seem to care about the $$) so I honestly think they are very reasonably priced (especially for the outstanding care received). There is never a long wait and they've been excellent during COVID. I moved further away from the practice and still drive the extra 30 minutes because I refuse to take my dog anywhere else.

After hours of calling around trying to get my dog seen that day, I called Schulmeyer Animal Hospital, I explained my situation and was told if I came immediately & were there by 12 noon we could be seen (because the Dr had prior obligations that day.) My husband was a little late arriving and Dr Schulmeyer still made time to treat my German Shepherd. Mya's (my Shepherd) ear infection is gone & she is no longer in pain! Very thankful and happy we chose Schulmeyer Animal Hospital for our girl. * We were referred to emergency clinics from most vets because it was a weekend, and because of COVID most vets aren't accepting new clients and the ones that are have no availabilities for months* *The emergency clinics/hospitals cost for only the visit is about $95 bucks Schulmeyer's was like 45!!!*

Schulmeyer Animal Hospital took us in as a new patient during quarantine when many other vets were not accepting new patients. They were willing to take us in same day for an emergency since our cat was having some dental issues. Ran several tests to confirm her bloodwork was healthy for a dental procedure the following week (we had other concerns that were put to rest with these tests) and the procedure ended up going very well. She is SO much happier now and feeling much better! Her behavior has improved drastically. Reasonable prices and very informative doctor. Thank you for taking us in! We have found our new vet!

It was a Friday night 4pm emergency/injury for our dog, and we showed up in a panic and he and his staff were just amazing took the dog and and 15 min later it was all good! Highly recommend! Thank you from Brown Dogs Parents!

I stopped going to the vet that I have been going over 10 years because the owner changed and I was tired of other vets trying to upsell things that I do not need, when I just get it by myself at a reasonable price. Not to mention, long wait time. I am glad that I found this place. Price is reasonable, shorter wait time, courteous staffs.

I took my dog in for a hematoma on his ear. Let me tell you how fast they were ready to jump into surgery. We are talking a quarter size blood blister inside his inner flap. Not painful, no signs of stress, no excessive scratching right? Okay so we get there they come out with over a thousand dollars total for this surgery. I call a friend who is a vet and is out of state and send her the paperwork with codes. First off this place didn't mention optional Iv drips, etc. They made everything sound mandatory and serious. To double-check I call two surgeons out of state that deal with the ear. Sure enough, this is minor, it's cosmetic and not dire like this place made it sound. By the next day it was already draining, today it's pretty much gone with only the slightest crinkle and no deformity to the exterior ear. Let me be clear they didn't even suggest antibiotics or steroids even though when you go to drain it like they did, that's what you give! I cannot believe I almost handed them way over a grand for a blood blister! Even the ER vet who I contacted the night prior was mind blown. I 100% do not recommend taking your dog here, they are all about money. They said they checked him for an ear infection, yet it wasn't documented. Turns out it was a minor ear infection and he was put on appropriate meds by a better vet. Any other vet I called was concerned they wanted surgery ASAP on such a minor case. Not to mention my poor dog having to be on kennel rest with unnesccary sutures and pain. I will never be coming back here and I informed the vet that referred me of what occurred. 100% dissatisfied and am so glad I called around, paid for other exams to get secondary opinions on what could have been a very expensive, unnesccary service!

My poor dog was suffering through a terrible infection. They were clear on pricing before they did anything. They talked me through all options and outcomes. While my Bella eventually was not able to fight anymore. They were compassionate and sensitive. Did not ever try to "sell me" meds or treatments. I would highly recommend.

I changed to this vet pratice in August after leaving my prior vet of 19 years. I am extremely happy. I finally feel 100% confident again in my vet. Dr. Schulmeyer is very nice, answered my many questions and is technically very good (trained at Cornell top vet school in US).I can get an appt quickly and his staff have been efficient and very nice too. I've never waited for my appts and my miniature poodle recently had his teeth cleaned and some extractions. He did so well under Dr Schulmeyer's care and has recovered with no issues. This vet is a little more expensive than my prior vet but well worth it. If you're looking for a vet or a new vet I highly recommend them.

I've taken both my dogs here. The staff and Dr. Schulmeyer are wonderful. I also like that that everytime I call I talk to an actual person and not get a recording saying we'll call you back later.

I was not pleased. This clinic is highway robbery. My pet had his eye examined using an instrument that I could have used myself at home and they charged close to $60 and did not mention anything to me about his ridiculous extra charge prior to when I was preparing to pay at the front. You need to let customer's know UPFRONT what you will be charging.

Dr. Schulmeyer is a very caring doctor. He helped both my dogs this last year, one of which had a rough 2020 (guess it wasn’t only humans impacted by this wild year!) and had to pay Dr. Schulmeyer several visits. Although my pup isn’t a fan of the vet, Dr. Schulmeyer and his team have been awesome and so helpful! I would highly recommend them.

Dr. Schulmeyer is the best. My family has been taking our pets here for years. They stayed open late just so my cat could be seen at the last minute for illness.

My family has been going to Dr. Schulmeyer since he opened his practice. I had to go in for surgery on my dog for an acl tear and everything went smoothly. The information upfront and then after surgery was detailed and answered all my worries. The staff are amazing and treat every animal with love. I recommend anyone with a pet come here for your veterinary needs.

Brought my cat in for IV treatment and received a call letting me know my cat stopped breathing and asked if I would like to resuscitate. I mean, shouldn't you have tried saving her life before calling? Then they have the nerve to keep calling and sending postcards that she is due for a visit. F this place man.

Visited them for the first time today for euthanasia for my cat. I was touched by the compassion and understanding displayed by the entire staff, and thankful that they squeezed us in to an already jammed schedule. Thank you for making this process a bit easier...

The most compassionate team for a pets. We've been coming here for at least 15 years and have never had an issue. Probably not the cheapest place around but worth a little more for great care.

We had been looking for a new vet, and on New Years Eve our dog had what we think was an allergic reaction and needed to be seen! They got us right in and they were all very helpful, caring, and comforting! Can’t recommend them enough based on that experience alone!
