The farm land is comforting and the waiting room is spacious. The staff and vet were very caring. My dog was a little worried in the exam room but was treated very warmly.

The staff was not very thorough when my dog had to have surgery. Weeks after his surgery, a strange substance, along with blood, was oozing from his nose (near where his surgery was). When I brought him in to check this out, they acted like it was no big deal but still charged us for expensive blood tests. The vet didn't even LOOK in his nose! The oozing continued for about a month while he waited to see our new vet. It was terrifying. I still never found out what that was or why it took him so long to heal from what was supposed to be a relatively low-risk surgery with a short recovery time. And to be honest, even before the surgery I was never a huge fan of taking him to New London. The vet was often condescending and dismissive.

We’ve been coming there for years with several different dogs and the genuine care and love they display for the animals in heartwarming! Best veterinary around, especially Dr. King!

We have had nothing but the best of care for our cats at New London. When one had to be put to sleep, Dr. Bendokas did the "two shot" method - one to tranquillize her and gave us 20 minutes to say goodbye lovingly. Then the second shot sent her to heaven. What a LOVING and KIND thing to do for not only our 18 yr old cat, but for us, too. Give them an A++++

Note: NLVC is referral only. New London Veterinary Center has done nothing but treat my dogs with love, respect, and care. I have an Akita that I moved to the USA from Canada with, and they were quick to educate me on the additional health needs (things like flea/tick and lyme vaccinations) that were not necessary where we lived previously. The staff are always super friendly, knowledgeable, and quick to help! My husband and I later adopted a Viszla who had some emotional baggage (aggression towards vets included), and the staff were able to handle him and even aid in additional training for him, teaching him the vet isn’t a place he needs to be afraid of. For current patients, they’re usually always able to fit you in in case of emergency- which is a huge plus. I highly recommend them!

New London has always been professional, kind, affordable, and takes great of my dogs. The Vet's are fantastic! They are very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, straight forward, and caring. Exactly what you need in any Doctor you trust. I wouldn't go any place else ????

Dr King has been amazing to Bella over the years. Bella loves Dr King and she barely gets nervous at all coming in for her appts. We wouldn’t choose any other vet!

Seems like a great place however they will only see your animal if you have a "Reference" from a current customer. I had an animal in distress and they told me to go talk to my neighbors, find someone that uses them, get a reference and then they'd make an appointment for use...sorry, lost a customer.

I took our last kitty Jigsy there for many years and they took really good care of him and now I'm taking my baby Cali there and I'm so glad they are amazing people that truly care and they do everything they can for your furry loved one(s)❤️ I personally love New London veterinary center!

Refusing to currently except new clients

I had a disappointing experience at this vet a few years ago. One day I tried to bring my dog to be serviced because it was on my street where I live They were the vet I used for my dog Meiko many years ago. How convenient! I was turned away and told they are not accepting new patients unless I could be referred by another pet owner who patronized their establishment. I explained I and my Mother brought our pets here in the past. I didn’t really know what to think... I was offended I must say...it felt like maybe they thought I didn’t belong there..

The best staff and doctors I have ever had for my pets. They really care about your pets and their well being. Would recommend them highly to anyone who is in need of good, caring vets.

Not Military families friendly, only by referral of an existing client. If you are Military and new in the area do not bother find another vet in Newark DE area.

Been with Dr. King for 30 years. She is excellent and the staff is the same. They are respectful of you as a pet owner. I never feel pressured into making decisions as some other practices make you feel.
