Got my first ever cat from here 13 months ago. I don't remember names well but everyone we so awesome and so helpful and so nice. I explained to them what I was looking for and they helped and were so knowledgeable of the personality of every cat they had. They really matched me with the perfect cat. I think one of the managers sister in law brought him in. But either way everyone was so happy when I took him it really showed me how much they all cared about what they do. They had named him Buster Brown. I ended up naming him Mookie. He's such a cuddler and also a playful killer. Even my dad, an avid cat disliker most of my life loves him. I'm so happy the people at the Delaware SPCA brought my to Mookie. Thank you everyone.

Went to bring several boxes of donations and the girls behind the desk gave me the cold shoulder and acted like they didn't care. A thank you is all I was hoping for. Oh well.

If there's a 10 star I will give it a 10. Staff are friendly, facility is well organized, adoption process is simple and quick. All the cats are well taken care of, my favorite animal facility so far! We got our cat one week ago, I was hesitated at first since it's going to be our first cat, the cat manager Jennifer is so knowledgeable and encouraging( I am not sure if I would make my decision so quick without her), she literally answered every single questions I had for her. She is definitely a cat expert! We love her. If ever you want a fur friend for you family, don't hesitate to go to Delaware SPCA, you will never regret it!

They were quite busy. But took me and my family in about 15 min to see the dog we were interested in. The volunteer who helped us was very nice and honest about the dogs. Didn't feel rushed and answered all our questions.

You'd be hard-pressed to find people that care more about the animals than everyone working here

I take my boys there for annual checkups and vet clinics. Very friendly and I've had no issues. If you're going for the Saturday clinics you need to get there early. It runs from 9-11am but if you arrive any later than 9:45am, you risk not getting your pet seen. They will not go past 11am even if you're in line.

I was very disappointed with DE SPCA. The associates were friendly enough, however, when we found the dog we wanted, they wanted $300.00. I thought they were putting the needs of the animal second and putting the needs of the shelter first. My brother donates every month, and has for 3 years but that didn't matter to them! That isn't fair to people who can give the animal a good home but can't afford $300.00 cash! You make your own decision knowing all that!!!!

We visited for the first time on a very busy Saturday so we were there about an hour before being called but we didn't mind the wait. We were there to adopt 1 or 2 cats and were in luck as they had a bonded pair of siblings. The staff were very knowledgeable about each and every animal and could tell us anything we asked, which was very refreshing and helped up immensely in deciding that the pair were a good fit for us. We were able to take them home that day and they are already making themselves at home. We are very pleased with our experience and our new furry family members Nick and Jess. Definitely recommend.

We took our puppy here two weeks ago to be neutered. They gave us a cone that was way too small for him, and even after going out and buying the appropriate-sized cone and inflatable collar for him within a day, he still ended up with an abscess that ruptured two days after his surgery. We took him in the following Tuesday when they were open again, and the staff seemed like they were trying to suggest that it was our fault. The vet that saw him barely even spoke to us and was rather aggressive when handling our pup, especially when cleaning the area around the wound. He then stapled it shut — twice, because he missed with the first staple — insinuated that we let our pup sit and sleep in a dirty space, and then left. They scheduled us to come back today to get the staples removed, and when we arrived, they told us we weren’t in the books to be seen today. They also wouldn’t give us the name of the vet who saw him last week, stating they had multiple vets so there was no way of knowing who saw him. Needless to say, we’re never coming back here again.

Just had to leave because they felt that i was a threat and was told by one manager to never return. The next manager who still didn't introduce herself told me after they speak with the entire staff as if I just went off on them all. They will make an appointment with me to come back in. Solely because i didn't want to talk about a cat that didn't fit my home. Jen is the manager who felt like i shouldn't ever return to the Delaware SPCA and adopt an animal ever again. The other manager stated let her talk to her staff about what happened and then i can return. Hopefully someone higher up than both the managers receive this message and contacts me. Just spoke with Liz who is the manager i spoke with earlier. Who stated that i could never come there to adopt. Because I'm not a good fit to experience the adoption process. I'll contact the state about them.

We went to their vaccination clinic today. It was really busy, but they kept the line moving! Also, best prices for vaccinations in the area! I'm also excited Delaware SPCA and Delaware Humane are merging, so keep your eyes out ???? for new things at both as they try to figure it all out, while still working so hard with rescues and adoptions!

I've done research on tons of practices and this place provides the most cost-effective wellness care, vaccines and neuter/spay services for cats in the whole tri-state area.

I so do appreciate the vaccine clinic days. I was able to get all the vaccines and microchip for $48. Kind staff. Very efficient use of the parking lot. Kind of reminded me like the Chick-fil-A drive thru.

They are awesome. I have had 3 pets spayed an neutered. They are very reasonable!

I took my dog to get vaccinated. Stanton lactation was having a 9-11 drive through vaccines for a lot cheaper than a vet place. Everyone was very friendly, considering the heat.. Being 7th in line, we were in and out of there in less than 20 min. Great people, great prices! Chloe was adopted from Stanton shelter in August of 2019.
