Took our dog there for a full groom and cut. The service was amazing and Heather did an amazing job! Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality grooming for your dog!

My mini schnauzer never looked as good as after grooming her here. My groomer Mary is able to get my dog ready very fast and does not hesitate to let me know if she notices something that is not quite right (i.e. a rash). Prices are comparable with other places but everyone seems to be way friendlier (both with people and pets)! All in all a great place for making your pet presentable -- you need to think about booking in advance or even better, on a schedule as they are pretty busy.

An absolutely astounding place of business. We saw Shannon and she and the owner were very attentive to my German shepards needs and went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience for my dog and I both. The quality of work done was also hands down one of the best I've had. When I got my pup back from her session she was very happy, something she has never showed at previous groomers. You're not just a customer or another paid ticket when you come here. You are a friend and someone who's opinion and questions are valued and answered

Fair prices and always friendly staff! I appreciate how the groomers are always very patient with my little dog, who does not love going to see them for a nail trim.

This was our first visit to Bark of the Town and they did a great job with my Skai! The owner Cathy was very pleasant and very thorough with explaining to my my options of hair cuts. My dog was a mess and has a very hard to groom typically, they did a wonderful job also her nails were very long and they cut it back right above the quick where typically when they grow out even the vet has a hard time and only cut half way to it.

This is the best experience my dogs and I have ever had at a pet groomer! They looked amazing! They are usually very nervous but they put them completely at ease! I will definitely be back! Thanks!

OMG, we have been looking for a few months for a Groomer for our sweet Baby Girl Shelby and finally settled on Bark of the Town in La Plata. Today was our first visit and upon arriving, we were met by the Owner, who is super nice and then one of the Groomers came out and guess what, she used to groom my baby at Petco in Dahlgren so that made my decision that they will now be Shelby's permanent grooming salon! When we picked her up, OMG, she looked so BEAUTIFUL!!!! Really a cute salon too!

I can’t say enough good things about Bark or The Town! I had an awful experience with the Groom Room and found Bark of The Town instead and I’m so glad I did! We had never had our German Shepherd groomed before and were hesitant how he would do but I felt so reassured by the staff! Moose did great and they treated him amazing he walked right in no problem and was so happy after coming out. They even gave him a blueberry facial and he smelled amazing for days! He was so pampered I can’t wait to bring him back for more! Thank you Bark of The Town for taking such good care of my boy!
