First I'd like to address the negative reviews concerning short staffing and hour changes. Do you really think the teenage employees make the rules or changes to opening or closing hours? They aren't in IT or website control or however you boomers perceive it. The manager is most likely a key holder or manager on duty not someone who makes executive decisions. They are doing what the higher ups tell them. Hello this isnt anything new. Secondly what makes you feel entitled to harass and intimidate the already understaffed employees that are doing their best to serve the public when they could literally work anywhere else with better pay and benefits because every company is desperate for employees right now? Are you looking for a retail job Karen? Apply if you think you could do a better job and are willing to put up with the abusive behavior you yourself exhibit. Have respect for the people doing jobs you consider beneath you.

I come here to buy new filter cartridge for my 10 gallon fish tank. Also I like the improvements it made like the new style of the gecko tank and bettas being in tanks instead of bowls one time

Have to change my review which previously said "always wonderful". Tonight I visited they were supposed to be open until 7:00 p.m. and did not update their website or their telephone number with their updated closing hours of 5:00 p.m. The 5:00 p.m. was only posted on the door, I was ignored. I was turned away. They them threatened to call the police on me, which I invited them to do. All I wanted was some customer service and the District 'phone number. The Police listened to what I had to say, got me a number, and asked if I would leave. I completed, but now I'm on the phone with corporate. Bottom line, everyone is short staffed, and exhausted... but at least letting your customers know that you're closing early is the right thing. To the manager Adriana, calling your police on customers isn't a success strategy.

Most disappointing pet smart that I've gone to so far. At a first glance, the store is very small, dark, and gloomy which is depressing. There were very few animals, if any. Other pet smarts that I've gone to are filled with birds chirping, dogs, and usually an area for cat adoption, but this one didn't have any of that. I went in to look for dog toys, but there were very few items available in general. I'll be avoiding this shop and just heading to a smaller local pet store instead.

My pet been here a few times, the worst PetSmart grooming services I've ever been too! The haircuts always look unprofessional and unevenly cut. Megan K. serviced my dog and did a horrible horrible job. The last visit she cut my dog naked without even contacting me, my dog was unrecognizable, my dog was itching for days and she had multiply cuts on her. Every time we went to Arundel Mills PetSmart it was always some excuse given about why the full service wasn't completed, which I think was BS. Every time I requested to get my dog nails cut, she never did it. Why go there if you can't get the services that you requested, that's advertised on their website. Where are the professionals?? Hire or train people on how to do the services that are advertised. This place is unprofessional, NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!!

First ever posted review lol. I frequent this store bc it's convenient, but woof I recommend checking out with another cashier or even at the Banfield counter itself if/when whoever the young lady with the dark hair/long ponytail is working. I thought when a customer is genuinely friendly and says hi/hello/how are you or good morning, etc you reply with a similar friendly greeting, not just, "phone number"? May sound trite, but geez a little customer service is not too much to ask? No smile, no matter what you say to her, it's "phone number". I fully understand some days can suck, but I've been going to this location for a good year and it's every. single. time. with her. Maybe stocking/inventory should be her main task? A role not directly working with customers? Anyway, store is close and convenient, normally not a wait to check out, so that's good! But for Pete's sake be a little more polite to people that are being polite to you. Thanks so much!

I had been taking my 2 dogs there since they were puppies until recently. Appointments now take too long and they are constantly rescheduling due to problems with their app. They expect you to use the app and wait another 3-4 weeks after cancelling your appointment days before you are scheduled and had been waiting weeks. The last straw for me was today when I showed up 30 mins late for an appointment at 7 am after being rescheduled just a couple of days prior and I was told I had to reschedule. Door was closed since the store wasn't open and several of us waited outside for 15 mins until someone from the hospital finally let us in. Appointment handling is terrible. On a positive note the groomers there do take very good care of your dog and the grooming is on point if you can get an appointment to be honored.

It seems like a very busy store, which I personally don't care much for since it's covid and because I'm a first-time dog owner so I needed more help than most others. But thankfully, the staff was very, very friendly and assisted me in every way they could within reason. They gave me advice and also shared stories about their animals and how they train them and made me aware of things I can look forward to experiencing with my new family member (^_^) I'm a grateful and happy customer.. I would give the 5th star if the place was more brightly lit and was less crowded (I plan to try and visit during less busy hours from now on..)

I haven’t always had the best experiences at PetsMart. But there was a woman named Adriana today who saw me struggling to carry a heavy fish tank and immediately opened another line for me. Then I asked her about cycling a fish tank and she gladly gave me tips and explained it all to me. To top it off, I accidentally locked myself out of my car without a wallet or phone. I went back in and asked to borrow a phone and she kindly let me. It’s this kind of customer service and kindness that should be recognized. While there have been good and not so good employees I have ran into over the years, Adriana made an impact enough for me to want to come on here and post about it. Thank you very much Adriana!

Great place, great staff, but the quality of cleanliness is not as high. The place needs to be mopped or deep cleaned. Cause there's a lot of sections, where it's just dusty or stain on the floor.

I had such a negative experience with Katherine/Katheryn (which ever one has the colored dread locs) that I feel the need to share so that I may warn others. Beware of her negative attitude and poor customer service. From drop-off to pick-up her discourteous demeanor put me on high defense. Not what I expected nor appreciated in a place where I choose to spend my money.

What a gr8 place to shop. My dog done got pragnatn and needs flee shots dem person at pet mart helpted me with all dat stuff plus found a niece place to put my goldfish in the river whern my husbend gets tired of feeding them and need more room for the dogs.
